  1. I put links on via iphone, so that may be the problem, I think I have copied the mobile rather than full website addresses
  2. I was meant to be having a pleasant heel filled afternoon with FF2, which unfortunately had to be cancelled due to Mum falling while getting out of the bath this morning. Having had the all clear (shocked and bruised rather than broken) it was late afternoon and I decided to pop to Slough and Brantano for a little trying on session. Luckily the store is a little out of town and was very quiet when I arrived. Apart from two families I had thd store to myself.... I had a good try on of the following... http://www.brantano.co.uk/ladies/emilio-luca-x/moon-shine-platform-peep-black-br_2627404711?params=fh_secondid%3dbr_2627404711%26fh_lister_pos%3d14%26fh_location%3d%252f%252fbrantano%252fen_GB%252fcategories%253c%257bbrantano_br_ladies%257d%252fbr_compoundcategory%253e%257blarge20shoes%257d%26fh_eds%3d%25c3%259f%26fh_refview% http://www.brantano.co.uk/ladies/clarks/alessie-eve-court-shoe-black-br_2610459511?params=fh_view_size%3dall%26fh_secondid%3dbr_2610459511%26fh_lister_pos%3d45%26fh_location%3d%252f%252fbrantano%252fen_GB%252fcategories%253c%257bbrantano_br_ladies%257d%252fbr_compoundcategory%253e%257blarge20shoes%257d%26fh_eds%3d%25c3%259f%26fh_refview%3dlister http://www.brantano.co.uk/ladies/red-level/charmer-snake-court-multi-br_2610460699?params=fh_view_size%3dall%26fh_secondid%3dbr_2610460699%26fh_lister_pos%3d44%26fh_location%3d%252f%252fbrantano%252fen_GB%252fcategories%253c%257bbrantano_br_ladies%257d%252fbr_compoundcategory%253e%257blarge20shoes%257d%26fh_eds%3d%25c3%259f%26fh_refview%3dlister http://www.brantano.co.uk/ladies/emilio-luca-x/brogue-taster-black-br_2623403111?params=fh_view_size%3dall%26fh_secondid%3dbr_2623403111%26fh_lister_pos%3d15%26fh_location%3d%252f%252fbrantano%252fen_GB%252fcategories%253c%257bbrantano_br_ladies%257d%252fbr_compoundcategory%253e%257blarge20shoes%257d%26fh_eds%3d%25c3%259f%26fh_refview%3dlister I really liked the snakeskin pumps but they were a little tight, the clarks black pumps were really comfy and I could see myself getting a pair, apart from the cost. I also tried on a few pair of flats, but you dont want to hear about that on here. Not quite the day out I was looking forward to but good all the same
  3. You will be pleased to hear that I have found an iphone app called silent camera, which does exactly what it says on the tin..... Ive had a couple of practise goes and quality is pretty good. Will have to see what I can snap
  4. I think that I would wear these (Shame they don't do my size!) not sure I would get much wear out n about..... Though I'm sure I could find an excuse to wear these
  5. Nice.... Discreet, I assume comfy and I would agree with you on the price.
  6. It's the reaching for their phones that is not so good, I have a feeling that I may be starring in a vid after todays shoe change...... I don't mind comments, but I woildn't be happy for pics on full public view
  7. Freddy, If I hadn't seen the heel on those boots myself, I would never have guessed that they were not mens boots. They look totally mainstream to me..... And thinking of Watford's residents then I concur It must be them.... I do wonder how many men that see another guy in heels really thinks ..... "I wish I could" rather than that looks ridiculous! Do you remember that guy in Boots Oxford Street who was fascinated by our heels..... I reckon he got a pair himself (and good luck to him)

  9. Well on my way to London today, I stopped off at High Wycombe to have a browse of the shoes. I went to New Look ( This particular store is very well organised so it is very easy to find my size ) I found these http://m.newlook.com/mcs/publish/2558/28419?prodid=257215601&cat=cat2060037&name=Ankle%20Boots And after trying them on decided to buy them. I left the store and found what I thought was a reasonably quiet place to change into my new heels.... I had just finished changing when I realised that the "deserted" building opposite was in fact under renovation and several builders were watching my every move! Luckily they were inside the shop window and I swiftly exited the area. Now I had really long jeans on that totally covered the heels, and was quite surprised to be spotted by a young chap out with what I took to be his girlfriend. He gave me a couple of quizical looks and I am pretty sure hd pointed my heels out after I had passed, but he didn't seem overly concerned. These do have quite a high heel, Im guessing 4 inches, but are quite easy to walk in and very comfortable. Im looking forward to a trip to London in them
  10. I'm with Freddy on this one, once the cats out of the bag.... Thats it and you have still got to work there... However, looking at the images of the boots you frequently wear, they are fairly nondescript as being overtly womens boots. If I saw you wearing them I would assume they were cowboy or biker boot style. If you were wearing 4 or 5 inch stilettos that would be an entirely different kettle of fish! If you became known for wearing discreet heels, it's possible that it would become the norm and would'nt be a matter of interest. It's a tough call, but I would err on the side if caution on this one.....
  11. Freddy So you gave "Miss Ugly" a laugh in her otherwise dull and boring shift at work. You didn't mention her giving you a hard time, so I would not even think about it. You probably made the rest of her shift quite pleasant! As I have been out and about with you in heels, you are always discreet in your choice of outfit and your heeling always looks appropriate..... Even if you are spotted, I really don't think you are going to get abuse!! But good on you anyway, You are really getting out and about in heels at the moment.
  12. Welcome You will find the site very interesting and look forward to your posts.
  13. Flickr is a good place for sharing photos, I have got some of my very early pics on under name shoefan500. You can add any tags you like to make them visible to searches. I have also got quite a few incognito pics in the gallery on here. (Just make sure if you use multiple apple devices you turn photo stream off or your wife sees on the ipad what you may have snapped in London on the iphone!)
  14. Shyguy I don't think that I would ever wear sandals out in public, I would not be inconspicuous enough. And the good news is that boots are returning, I had a sneaky look in Evans today and they have a rack of boots up... Hurray
  15. I must say that I also was not a fan of wedges until I got a pair from New Look recently... Easy to walk in and absolutely silent! No one knows what you are wearing, which almost defeats the point! Those are a nice pair if wedges for the summer, I do like the wide strappy styles that are out at the moment
  16. I know what you mean Freddy.... These are £59.50 at the moment, but come the sales I am sure I will bag a pair for £20 or less. I think I might have a try on of these though, they look slimmer in the calf than most evans boots and should go well under a decent pair of jeans!
  17. You are right those are a really pretty pair of heels, I am a pump fan, though I think that whilst they are a really nicely put together pair of heels, the colour would stop them becoming a part of my collection. I agree with Love4heels that black is the only colour for pumps (for men to wear) though they would look great on any lady....
  18. Well It looks like the stores are starting to stock boots again Saw these http://m.evans.co.uk/mt/www.evans.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=1&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33054&storeId=12553&productId=6082343&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=209435&parent_categoryId=&pageSize=24 On the evans website, they also have them in brown, look like quite a nice pair so I may have to make an investment!
  19. I can see the attraction of toe cleavage when a gorgeous lady is wearing a pair of designer stilettos, but it's not a great look for a man in heels!
  20. Yep Freddy Thats the pair I bought and took back...... I would have not been happy at the sale price either! But I am still on the hunt for a new pair if stilettos, incidentally Debenhams in Preston have that Nine West pair in my size, but I'm still not paying £65
  21. That would be a good idea if we could get a few people out...... Not holding my breath though!
  22. I'm not down until 3rd - 7th August... Should be up fir something then??
  23. Well done Freddy, Sounds like a perfect afternoon out at Westfield! That second pair of boots look really nice, I could just see myself out and about in a pair like those. I guess that most of the usual security has moved to Westfield Stratford for the next six weeks or so. Shame about your phone but I an sure there will be plenty more opportunities to come
  24. I've gotta agree with Freddy here, Daytime, busy place and slightly longer length jeans than usual and most people will not even notice. Freddy and I were walking along London's Oxford Street at 2pm on a Subday afternoon and didn't get a second glance.... If you go to a quiet location at night, you are asking to be heard and then seen
  25. I have driven with heels, but I find it really uncomfortable with any sort of high heel. To be honest as I dont always drive with heels I find it a little dangerous because it is unusual and I don't want to make a driving mistake. That and the fact it is the entire back of the shoe that gets scuffed. So I basically avoid driving in heels.
