  1. Myself and FF2 are planning a meet on FRIDAY 6TH MAY down in the South (London) area, we will both be wearing heels (Though this is entirely optional) and anyone else who may wish to join us is more than welcome. As soon as we decide exactly where and at what time I shall post it here.... from past experience these meet ups are a really enjoyable time and it is always nice to be able to get out and about wearing heels! So put the date in your diary, polish your stilettos and get ready to strutt your stuff
  2. Well spotted Freddy, you are right I am laid up in bed sick, so decided to have a browse on youtube. I have to stay in so it certainly killed a bit of time ! I think that they wear jeans like that to emphasise the shoes rather than detract from them with an outfit. He is dressed as a man in heels afterall rather than wearing a more feminine outfit. lets hope they put more up on Ytube in the future. I suppose that might be another way forward on here, gettjng vids of various people in their heels? We could have a Youtube channel and link to here!
  3. Greetings heel fans it is I, Heelman500, with another missive from the great wide world....... Plan B (Thanks FF2) was in full force today and our intrepid adventurers (FastFreddy2 and Myself) along with our partners (Yes that's right you are reading it correctly, both wives attended and were ok with us wearing heels in public ) managed to unweld ourselves from our armchairs, unglue our eyes from the pc screen and venture out into the wilds of West London, a.k.a. Westfield shopping centre. It was a lovely sunny morning as we were "Fleeced" by the car parking charges (£2.50 per hour!) and met up for a coffee and a chat at Costa coffee. I was wearing my ninewest ankle boots (Those that I bought at Debenhams on Oxford St) and FF2 a nice pair of pointed toe block heeled boots, Mrs FF2 had an exqusite pair of black calf length patent stiletto boots (Photo FF2?) but unfortunately my own good lady let the side down by wearing Uggs After a brief sojourn and introductions were made over a rather pleasant coffee, sat at an outside table for maximum viewing pleasure, we took a leisurely stroll around the quite large shopping centre and visited amongst other stores: House of Fraser, New Look, Topshop, Zara, Aldo, as well as a peek into some of the boutique stores such as Jimmy Choo, Prada etc... Well spotted FF2 as one of the assistants in Prada was wearing a pair of black Louboutin stiletto courts ... absolutely fab.... though this was the high point of the viewing day as there was a distinct lack of very nice heels about. After a quick bite to eat it was time to depart... having spent a good three hours wandering around in heels I know that my wife has totally relaxed about me wearing heels in public now and she was quite amused by the very occasional odd look that we got, especially as there were NO negative comments at all during our trip... Unfortunately that was all for this trip as I did not really find much in the way to try on or buy... but we will be back in London at the end of April/ start of May so get your diaries ready because there will DEFINITELY be another expedition in the offing
  4. Ah, very nice indeed FF2 I could definitely see myself in a pair..... if only they had my size They are most certainly suitable for a venture out under a pair of jeans, though how much noise do they make?
  5. Very true shyguy, she was very helpful and I think that she runs the shoe department as she knows whats coming up for discount soon.... probably a good person to know. And on the very plus side she is good looking AND wears heels! (Ah damn Im married better not let her indoors read this!)
  6. That is a totsl no brainer me thinks..... you won it, you should spend it.. on of course SHOES! However, moving swiftly back to the real world, use it to enhance her mood (Spend a bit on her) and then wham when she is least expecting it get some shoes Hopefully she will still be in a good mood from the shopping she had just done! My firm gives us Debenhams vouchers at Christmas and her indoors still thinks one of her presents is a £50 voucher! It puts her in a very good mood
  7. Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy it over here and I look forward to your posts.... do you wear your stilettos outside? because with the steel tips I bet they make a right racket! once again welcome...
  8. Well I went out to New Look this morning, because I wanted a pair of boots that were quite subtle and would not be noticeable as womens heels for general wear around town. Anyway I found these (attached pic) ankle boots in the style that most women are wearing at the moment and thought that under a pair of jeans it would be very difficult to work out that they werent mens boots (Well that was the plan anyway!) So as the shop was really empty I was there trying on several different pairs of boots and had settled on these, when the girl that works in there and has served me previously came over and asaid "I have just reduced a pair of calf length boots down to £10 as they are the last ones in stock and we want rid, they are a size 9, so would you be interested? Yes sure, let me have a look, so she brings them over and I notice that they have no zip and if I get them on, how will I get them off in case they are a little on the snug side? So I mention this to her and she says don't worry I will give you a hand, (I am wearing knee lengths as well - to make it easier to try things on) next thing I know I am putting these boots on with no problem, she is not the slightest bit fazed by either my trying on boots or the kneehighs. Ok they look ok to me she says, have a walk and see how they feel! I didn't need asking twice and had a quick tour of the shoe department and then decided it would be extremely uncharitable of me not to purchase these boots as well! So I am paying for my two pairs of boots and she asks "How were those stilettos you bought the other day?" ... "My wife really likes them" I said, "No not the small pair, the ones you got for yourself!" ((BUSTED)) I said "They are really good, probably my favourite pair to date" "I know she says I have a couple of pairs - I got them with my discount-" Not sure if I have overshopped our local New Look, but with an assistant like this I don't think that it really matters...........
  9. Now chaps, jealousy will get you nowhere, and don't forget she does have her moments...... We went to Preston Thursday and had a look round, but I sometimes despair of her sense of style.... she would have me in a pair of awful, plastic red low heels courts from Primark I shall not even grace the pages with a picture! though walking through the shopping centre we walked past Dorothy Perkins and she was looking at the shoes on the rack and found a pair, I thought they were for her but she was checking to see if they were a size 9 or not..... the only downside to this event was that her indoors got a lot of new clothes.... though she did mention something about buying me a pair of shoes when we go to London. I asked "What means shoes?2 and she replied "Since when have you been buying mens shoes recently... no I meant girly shoes "
  10. Another day, another adventure, this time with Her indoors! She has been to the Doctors this afternon and been told that she has Bronchitis and needed some antibiotics to clear it up. Well after Dinner we decided to pop down to ASDA to fill her prescription, and were told that there was about a 20 minute wait.. no problem she says lets have a browse around the clothes section. We were having a good look around and came to the shoes section, when we came to the sale bit and saw these boots http://direct.asda.com/george/shoes/ladies-shoes/boots/heeled-saddle-boots/GEM60667,default,pd.html so she says "look they have size 9, why don't you try them on" so I did there in the middle of ASDA (Though with her keeping a lookout for anyone we might know ) unfortunately whilst i could get them on, there was absolutely no way I was going to be able to walk in them so back on the shelf they went. She then had me try on these ankle boots as i would be able to wear them out and about with hardly anyone realising http://direct.asda.com/george/shoes/ladies-shoes/boots/round-toe-boots/GEM54245,default,pd.html they do not have a heel, so that was a no to them (As well as the fact I couldn't get my foot into them as the top was very small with virtually no give!) I then tried these on http://direct.asda.com/george/shoes/ladies-shoes/boots/stitch-detail-round-toe-shoes/GEM58004,default,pd.html but they were deemed "Not very nice in that colour" by her ladyship, so that was that. In the end I got a pair of flats http://direct.asda.com/george/shoes/ladies-shoes/flats/black-canvas-shoes/GEM61489,default,pd.html as I do like to wear flats around the house when I am giving my feet a rest from heels! In fact it was her that suggested these as she also has a pair and they are very comfy. Well it killed 20 minutes or so in ASDA, we collected her medicine and off home we went... all the happier for a surprise shoe shopping outing
  11. Thanks blacksheep, totally agree with you on that, with a decent pair of jeans you can get away with ankle boots anywhere

  12. As requested a couple of pics of both of us wearing our identical (Apart from size) New Look heels, we have both been out in these today Yep, I guess I am VERY lucky that she is 1. acepting of my heel wearing and 2. sees to be starting to join in
  13. Ah well at least we all have the same taste in footwear anyway...
  14. I thought that I would ask these questions because to date I have had absolutely NO negative reactions from me wearing heels out and about in public. This includes when I am out on my own or when I am meeting up with fellow heel enthusiasts. In fact on the last trip out with Fastfreddy2 I noticed that we received nothing but Positive comments if any were made at all. Yes there is a time and a place for heels, and the pub district at kicking out time on a Saturday when the local team has just lost is possibly not the best place to wear heels, however, in the main the busier the place the less problem / worry there seems to be. I for one now do not worry at all about going out in my heels, as you will have read from some of my posts I have even been out and about in my local town, (Not ideal as it is my hobby/passion not anyone else's) and I really do not care what reaction I might get, but like I say I have never had any bad comments! Thats enough spouting from me and hope to see you all out and about in heels soon.......
  15. Well we went to ASDA this morning and i needed some knee highs to make wearing the heels easier, when we got back I put on the new heels and showed her, nice she says and then goes and puts her pair on as well! "Now we are a matching couple", and then comes out with "I hope you can drive in those because I need a lift to my mothers" and off we went. Both wearing the same heels (Though in different sizes) out down the street to the car! Unfortunately not enough time to take any pics... I wil have to see what mood she is in when she returns from the in-laws! and see if I can get some pics then, possibly not because without doubt her feet will probably be hurting by then. She is definitely mellowing to my heel wearing that is for sure
  16. Very nice boots indeed, quite handy for going out and about in... goes well with the whole outfit
  17. Well I went out and got myself a pair of the same heels that she had, I know that she will not stop wearing hers just because I have got the same, In fact nowing her, she will probably wear them out to places knowin full well that I cannot wear mine She did wants this pair ready for her holiday in Tenerife, so I think in reality after a little bit of wearing in they will be going in the suitcase (which she has already packed! were not going until July) and will see much use on our holiday FF2 i shall have to see about the Mr and Mrs shots! I'm not sure yet wht she might say, but I think that she might go along with it.. she's in a good mood at the moment........
  18. Hello and welcome to the forum, I am also looking forward to hearing of your finely turned ankle I haven't heard that expression used in ages Hope that you enjoy the site.
  19. Welcome, hope that you will enjoy this site
  20. Well I got out and about today and bought her shoes (Pic attached) and was also going to get a pair for myself, When I gave them to her she asked where mine were and have to admit that I had not bought any because of her potential reaction and them she was not bothered!! They really do look good on her indoors, so I might just go and get myself a pair Edit due my poor spelling
  21. Golden rule (I learned the hard way by drilling into a power cable - luckily I had RCD on my fuse box or I wouldn't be here now) , get your self a pipe detector and ALWAYS use it before drilling, sawing or any other thing that you might be tempted to try!! They are less than a tenner from any DIY store and well worth the hassle that they save! As for Part P I am under the belief that you can do pretty much anything with your electrics, and you can get an electrician to "Sign Off" your work. The only time you need a certificate is when you come to sell your house! That said it's almost impossible to tell what alterations have been made to wiring at a later date (A tad unethical I know but hey ho...) Anyway good luck with the renovations
  22. Oh had a nice surprise today, I was just coming hme from my morning run, when her indoors was about to go out into town, I'm looking for some new shoes or boots at New Look she says "Do you want to come with me?". I must have been changed and ready to go in record time! We had a really good browse in both the sales and the new collection, she really likes a pair of high stiletto round toes courts http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/s...rtDisplayPrice Problem is that I would quite like a pair for myself as well, I did mention this too her and got a laugh as a reply, so i'm not sure if I should take that as a yes lets get them or a you must be having a laugh! It's her birthday on Saturday so I might go out and get her a pair tomorrow (and maybe for myself as well) we will have to see. I had her trying on loads of different pairs (all with very high heels), there were a pair of nice lace style ankle boots that she also liked http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/b...boot_215423901 but she didn't want to pay that much for them! I am waiting for the car erpair bill to come in to see how much surplus cash there is available this month before deciding what to buy......
  23. I was a little bored this afternoon as the electric has been off all morning and decided that as her indoors has gone over to her mothers for the afternoon, to do a little shoe shopping in town (Now that all the kids are back in school!) I had a wander in to New Look as there are a couple of pairs of shoes that I have on my wish list at the moment. I tried on a pair of black boot shoes http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/boots/lace-up-bootie_212625101 along with some ankle boots http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/boots/suedette-button-boot_209575941 (Though in Black not blue) and http://www.newlook.com/shop/womens/boots/suedette-button-boot_209575941 and a pair that i am wearing in the attached pic but is not shown online. There were not too many people in the shoe section and nobody paid any attention whatsoever to me trying on heels, the only problem was that my camera did not focus properly when I tried to get some snaps in their mirror (It was a bit grimy) as they are moving the shoe department around, making way for the summer stock. I then had a wander down to Brantanos and tried on several pair, (Pictures are in my gallery), whilst I had the black peep toe courts on the manager came up to see if I needed any assistance and shock/horror she used to run a bar that I drank in before she took over at Brantanos as manager. We had a quick catch up chat (Whilst i was wearing the heels) and I managed to palm her off with the old "Its for a fancy dress costume" excuse. She was most helpful and said that if I needed any help getting trying on or getting some delivered then she would definitely help me out. (I felt a bit bad telling her a white lie but I really don't want someone I know and might bump into to know what I am up to with my heeling!). I tried on one more pair of heels and decided to head home for the day.... my next trying on expedition will probably be somewhere other than my home town

From the album: Shopping for heels

A pair of patent 3.5 inch mary jane style courts in a UK size 9. These are a nice pair of shoes and again are on sale at £30 (A little bit steep). I did notice that the buckle fastener on the strap is extremely flimsy and I won't be buying a pair of these as I do not think that they would last more than one or two wears.
