  1. Difficult question..... So I am going to fudge my answer somewhat, In terms of what I like to wear for public heeling, then my Evans black blockheel boots are my absolute favoutite...... They have hardly been off my feet since I got them! They are very quiet and discreet and also being from Evans are EEE width. In terms of truly absolutely adorable heels, then I am a stiletto man all the way and todays purchase are my new favourite.... Wearable- Yes. Comfortable- pretty much (Still need wearing in) Discreet- Hell no Look good- Oh Yes Would I wear these in public- I definitely will do Sorry it's not a straightforward answer but hope this helps.
  2. They are still a little bit tight in the toe box, due to the patent material, though unlike some courts the fully fit my foot and are quite easy to walk in. I have only had a wander around the house so far, but seem easier to walk in than those Evans block heels boots I bought the other day! I think that the shape of the shoe is well made allowing for an upright posture, I will see if FastFreddy can get some pics if these in public, when we meet up next week... Though they are definitely NOT for discreet heeling. There is no doubt that I would be spotted in these! At £17 in the DP sale, I think the price was right, they are better quality than some of the more expensive New Look offerings! Hopefully these will give a little in the toe and then they should make for an excellent pair of "In your face" heels !!
  3. Personal preference, I guess that being a teenager in the 80's influenced by image of what stilettos/ courts should be like! I can remember all the girls dancing around their handbags in white pointy stilettos... But as long as it's got a heel....

  10. I have noticed in stores too, that platforms seem to be disappearing and claasic courts are coming back.. Should make for a few interesting sight as a 5 inch classic court will be harder to walk in than a 5 inch single sole court! I hope that we go towards more pointy toe courts rather than these rounded and almond toe styles we have been seeing for the last couple of years.

Literally just got these for £17 had to look everywhere for a size 9 pair!
  12. I have finally found a superb pair of black patent stilettos..... Having looked in Watford,Slough, Wycombe.... I finally found a size 9 pair in Dorothy Perkins Uxbridge... Will hopefully have some more pics up shortly ... Theyre a bit tight, but wearable!
  13. Yep we sure are our own worst enemy.... And thats the problem, if you go to the middle east and misbehave, you will get tried AND punished by their laws and rightly so. Similarly with that British woman caught smuggling in Bali, she get's sentenced to death and there is uproar here, but st the end of the day, she was smuggling drugs which would undoubtedly ended up here or the US and caused a whole raft of social problems that comes witg drug misuse. I've got no sympathy with them, you do the crime, you do the time .... Simple. Unless of course you live in bleeding heart Britain!
  14. You are right, people (Even those employed to do security) do not want confrontation, which is a shame.. In years past one or more of the adults about would have dispensed a swift clip to the ear.... But now that would get you arrested! The main problem has been 10 years of Labour rule with a human rights reason why nothing can be done; At least the new home secretary Theresa May IS making the right noises; and has good intentions.... But finds her hands tied by our judicial system! Look at the case of Tony Martin, shoots a burgular and He goes to prison... At least recently they have changed the law and made it harder to prosecute people defending their homes! Look at the riots.... No political motivation, just the idle youth seeing a way to get what they want Now instead of having to wirk or save for it! I don't think things will improve for the better in the near future, so we are stuck with the hoody "Yoof" culture! Perhaps I should apply to be a magistrate...... That said I wouldn't get through because I would be too hard line!
  15. Uggh I really hate those slipper type flats that seem to again be making a reapperance in the shops, I dont mind so of the ballet flats that have been around in recent years (I even had a pair that I wore ALL the time until they wore out!) But this latest style... Not very nice, lets hope it is a short lived fad!
  16. You are quite right, she does look trashy, but thats only to be expected from a WAG! The only thing is why would you put a £550 pair of Louboutin Stilettos on her feet... I am quite sure we could find much more deserving receipients on here...
  17. I had a evening trip out to Primark at High Wycombe (about 6ish) , and was again wearing my Evans block heel boots. There were relatively few people about, considering it is Easter weekend I am not surprised, and whilst I encountered no problems, wearing my heels, very discreet and minimal noise! I noticed that feral groups of adolecents were roaming the shopping centre, hoodies up, caterwailing to other equally awful groups! I found the whole atmosphere very unpleasant as most of the genuine shoppers were scurrying from store to store, heads down, not wanting to attract attention. The little hooligans don't bother me, but I wonder 1. What are the security (who are always visible in the day) doing, because they were certainly noticeable by their absence! 2. Why is something not being done with these young hooligans? Personally I believe that some form of national service should be introduced, to teach a little respect and discipline! Or we could just make them all wear heels!! (For a while- but this would probably breach the poor little darlings Human rights!)
  18. Another strange pair, I quite like the look apart from the sole (i think it is termed an "Island" platform), I really don't like those islands (I had a Next pair last year, that I only bought because they were my size with that Island sole, and they soon went back for a refund!

    Shopping for heels

Pictures of myself out and about trying on heels in various stores. Some stores have full length mirrors which give a better picture, though others like brantanos only have those silly floor mirrors, so apologies if the pics from some shops are a little limited on content.
  20. From the album: Shopping for heels

    Size 10 (44) wedges
  21. From the album: Shopping for heels

Fit quite nicely, but seemed a little platic (Tacky) for the price
  22. From the album: Shopping for heels

A really nice pair of size 10 (44) 4 1/2 inch high stiletto courts that I really like, I have been back twice to try them on... Just a little tight in the toebox and wouldn't get the wear needed to justify buying them
