When I bought my first boat, the surveyor (A pretty decent chap) did warn me that a boat is just a hole in the water into which you pour money. And to be fair he was quite right, though I can see how the costs associated with a narrowboat, compared to London housing prices could be attractive. I'm now into caravan breaks in my static at "Sunny" Blackpool.... Almost forgot its CBB on channel 5..... and apart from the usual mindless drivel from z list Americans .... there are usually some nice heels to be spotted.... as wellas the ever pleasing to the eye Emma Willis.

I've had two narrowboats in the past, one of which I lived on for a while, yes it is a lifestyle choice and a very pleasant one, However, it can get cold and damp in winter, if you don't have a mooring you can only stay in one place for two weeks, I've had frozen water tanks, frozen diesel... if I didn't have to work I would again get afloat. Btw the diesel is the cheap bit... you use red gas! That particular boat you posted is ideal, purely for the mooring! Oh and heels and wet decks...... I can see Freddy taking a swim

Freddy, The mooring costs alone would be astronomical.... I've seen old scrappers of narrowboats (Worth <£10k) sell for a price in the £50-60k because they had a residential mooring and then you had up to £1000 per month mooring fee! I did think about central Manchester but lack of power/water provision and quite expensive moorings ruled it out.

they look a bit "Cheap" to be honest, and as for those square overlaps hh4evr1 is quite right! if your looking for summer styles, why not some of those heeled boots with a cutout side? i will peruse the web and try to find some examples

This is probably one for Freddy but all comments welcome, I have ordered a 3700 mm wide x 3000 mm deep x 2450mm high lean to self build conservatory!! i was wondering how deep to go with the base foundations, andis it a major problem going over the sewer pipe, though there is no manhole on my property. i was thinking a 300 mm trench with 150 mm for the floor slab, any ideas??

Now these are really really nice boots, youve got to have really thin calves to get in these, but the effect is superb! Probably the best heel pic I have ever come across..... I only wish I could get into a pair!

sorry for the double post but I had to put the pics on from my phone but it is much easier to type on the PC! I had looked in Evans yesterday (Preston) to see what boots they might be reducing in their sale, and I found a couple of pairs that I liked, the ones above which I purchased and another pair that had almost no heel, which I decided against. I do prefer ankle boots, but the selection of those seems extremely limited with almost no heeled boots available, as oppose to last year when I found the opposite to be true. Once thay are woen under a pair of trousers or better still jeans they do look really good. After purchase today I wore these from the shop ( I asked the assistant if I could just pull the stickers off the bottom (To scan through the till) and she was fine with it. I was at work today and on my way back bumped into one of my colleagues, whi I am sure noticed my boots!! We are meant to wear safety shoes or boots at work and even though they were well covered I am sure that he could tell. He didn't say anything to me but I saw him keep looking down whilst we were talking. I think that wearing heels at work may have to be avoided due to the obvious footwear I should be wearing! The boots have a 2 1/2 inch block heel, are real leather, nice and soft and really comfy to wear... no diiference to wearing my ordinary shoes....

In my opinion they are definitely high heel boots, and they look extremely passable for everyday male wearing! I am with you on the 4inch heel, it is my favourite height to wear, any higher and I can start to struggle. I really prefer a narrow heel, though IMO shoe choice becomes quite obvious!

Your co workers already think that you have a fetish for high heels, so try complimenting her on her heels and hopefully she will be forthcoming with more information.

Having seen Freddys post on Kelly Brook, I had a look on the YSL site and found these, abd they come in a size 9 (Though it says last pair).... Not sure about splashing £370 on a pair of heels!

When I buy I always want NOW, thats why I usually buy in store plus I always try on to make sure that they fit. I bought a pair online many years ago, waited for them to be delivered and then found they didn't fit. After all the hassle of sending them back and awaiting a refund I decided to shop in store where possible. I have noticed that some items I see in store eventually turn up on ebay (At a marked up price) shortly after

The problem with New Look is that they only get one pair of size 9 for each style delivered to store. According to the staff in Preston it depends on who the manager is and what they will reorder, some stores sell more larger sizes than others. Ive always found that the High Wycombe new look is good for size 9 availability!

That is very true, though it IS a step in the right direcetion. When I saw the article I thought that akin to some recent shows the men would be wearing stilettos but never mind! Its always the dream, heels becoming mainstream for men

Just a couple of pics from when I got home, the shoes fit like a glove, and are indeed extremely comfortable, they go well under a pair of jeans and are not "Too" obvious. They cost a bit, but the old adage is true, you get what you pay for!! Now I just need a pair of ankle boots!
