  1. It may liven the forums up a little to see some pictures of what people here have and are wearing. For me personally street shots just seem wrong, kind of an invasion of privacy unless they have given permission to be photographed and put on a website.
  2. Mrs Shyguy is going to MK on Wednesday, and can collect for you. If you still have my number give me a call (lost yours when I changed phone).
  3. Just seen this a little late to do anything, could ask the wife.
  4. From heels only in the bedroom, through the small wedges I wore a couple of years ago to being seen with her in 2 inch block heeled boots is a small step. I'm never going to wear stiletto's out (my choice even if she agreed) but may be able to up the block/wedge heel height as she gets used to it.
  5. I do like the looks of those boots Freddy and would like to try them, but they are too high and a little impractical for walking the dog in all weathers (as HH4evr points out rain will be a destroyer). I'm on a mission to get the right pair and continuing walk alongside my wife while wearing heels. Your efforts are not unappreciated, Freddy, thanks for all your responses. I am considering getting Mrs Shyguy sat at the computer looking at my Ebay watchlist and asking her to pick one of the pairs out as there are a few different styles there she should find one which she can tolerate.
  6. Wedge heels are fine too, and added these to my watch list. Thanks Freddy for posting them. As for the manly boots, I like the look of them but they are listed as 3" heels, so too much for the other half to accept. Update, seriously considering these Wedges any thoughts?
  7. Overall the new style looks good, and works well. I have yet to find a log in button or link when I am on my mobile phone though, meaning I can't reply until I get on my main pc if I see something while reading on my phone.
  8. Thanks Freddy, comments below... Also thanks HH4evr1, I keep checking Shoezone as that's where my others were from, but the ones they have at the moment are very thin at the soles (I don't expect much from cheap Shoezone shoes but a little more than they currently offer would be good). I know it seems I'm very picky but Mrs Shyguy has to be kept happy too.
  9. Having worn out my second pair of boots walking the dog, I've been scouring Ebay for low cost boots, must be black, and have around 2 inch block heel as they are the highest my wife will accept me wearing outside in size 8 UK. I previously bought ex shoezone boots from Ebay (see attachment) but they're no longer available. So I am looking for something similar to these but must be inexpensive
  10. Great tale Freddy, I'm always expecting the like to happen to me whilst wearing the leggings under my trousers, but so far OK.
  11. This would still be just a one off oddball event and not really bring the acceptance of men in heels any closer IMHO. As someone pointed out with earrings for men it took a few people wearing earrings regularly before it slowly got to be accepted. It would be nice to have such a day though and just be part of the crowd of guys "having fun" wearing heels instead of feeling you need to hide your footwear.
  12. Following on from some of the comments in some threads re: what you are actually wearing and what shoes are left laying unused I decided to clear out some. I had a thing for white stilettos and had bought a few pairs, but now realise they didn't have a place for me, so 2 pairs of white stilettos went to charity tody, along with a pair of maribou bedroom mules with 3" heels. It also went down well with mrs shyguy as I am looking for black boots with a 2" heel, and getting rid of the more feminine white thin heeled shoes made room for the boots which will be worn. She also accepts the block heels and black as closer to mens styles and less noticeable.
  13. One of the main reasons I spend my time here rather than at HHP is to get away from the talk of wearing women's clothes with the heels. It seems most of the conversations there end up with some reference to skirts or tights/stockings etc. I have tried some other women's clothing, and it doesn't do anything for me in terms of looks or feeling in the way heels do, i.e. enjoyment of the wearing. I also have to admit to wearing leggings under my trousers at work for warmth and it's kind of fun to know something those around you don't. I wouldn't wear them on their own though. Personally for me Heels 4 Men needs to be a place about wearing heels as a male, without going en femme. That said, I don't have a problem with guys mentioning wearing women's jeans, to me they are jeans regardless of which side of the shop they come from (my wife doesn't agree and wouldn't let me wear them if I saw some women's jeans I liked better for some reason). On the subject of labels, whatever you call it some members of society will manage to use the word in a hurtful way, if it doesn't fit with their view of how the world should be. Just my personal views.
  14. It would be a bonus if my wife wore heels, and I'd still wear them too. Maybe if she enjoyed them she'd understand why I like them too, who knows?
  15. For me it's boots more than shoes, and for the same reasons as hh4evr1 i.e. less obvious (usually).
  16. I still have those boots, and they get an occasional wear around the house and do still feel a little high but fun.
  17. I have daughters of a similar age and know how hard it must be to decide who you should trust among their friends. There are some who would delight in ridiculing them over their dads choice of footwear, and some would probably think it was cool. As for the boyfriends, that could get interesting. Look forward to hearing more on this subject and how it works out for you though.
  18. As part of the admin team, I do come here regularly a few times a week and check the posts, others also appear regularly but I know I personally don't have too much of interest to say at the moment. It has got a little too quiet though and would be nice to see the site pick up and become a bit more active. 2011 is on its way, who knows, that maybe the year for H4M.
  19. An interesting discussion, as I find myself using the same criteria as Freddy before I purchase anything now, i.e. will they be worn. Lately money has been tight so I haven't bought anything new, and have been wearing the just under 2 inch heel boots I got from Ebay to walk the dog regularly having worn out one pair and getting through the second. Can't find the same ones anymore so I am looking for something cheap again and also which will be worn. £150 boots are way out of the question so French Connection isn't getting much of a look in. As for hiding the heels, sometimes I wear longer jeans, sometimes now the heels show but they aren't exactly towering stilettos
  20. Price came up in UK Pounds for me. As you say you'd need some long jeans to hide those heels.
  21. Those do look good, definitely not for me in public though, not with my build
  22. I think it should be footwear related. Possibly Trainers Wedge heels Block heels Kitten Heels etc.
  23. Well done Kev, a great result for your charity. At least you're feet are on the mend now. Do they have time to heel before your next Krazy walk
