  1. Very nice boots. I'm tempted.
  2. I recently bought some brand new cheapies off Evilbay too, but they weren't high high heels, just a bit higher than average mens shoes (just under 2 inches as I just measured them). Those my wife let me wear to MK cinema with her recently. But they do look pretty masculine, and quiet lol. Like the look of those round toe ankle boots Freddy. Nice buy at a pound for second pair.
  3. Working until ooh about an hour ago lol. but back on topic, maybe someone can add the forum for meet-ups, advanced or spur of the moment planning, for us to use.
  4. The only time I have seen it said that "they are just shoes" was in the mens forum at HHPlace, but in general society for the time being heels=feminine and a man in them is seen as less than 100% masculine. But cowboy boots somehow add masculinity even with a heel. Funnily I have just had a short debate with my wife over heels again, as we decided to clear out under the bed and every pair of my heeled shoes/boots got an "eurgh". She said I was going all feminine on her again. That's the general opinion as far as I can tell. People may tolerate men in heels, but they will think it's less masculine.
  5. Nice looking boots, a tad out of my price range though.
  6. Superglue won't flex enough as you said Fastfreddy2, it tends to crack off, and back to square one.
  7. Good idea to have the short notice meets, less time for changed plans lol.
  8. Thanks Nemasis, those will be useful for a lot of the guys who have trouble finding shoes they want to wear in sizes they can. Anyone do the same for the UK members? I know only of the usual two, Evans and Brantano , which go up to size 10 UK.
  9. Well said Elegant, putting pressure on people to wear something because you like it is not the way it should be. And being honest isn't that why all us guys are reluctant to wear heels, I know in my case it's because of the pressure from my wife to conform to her ideal of what shoes men wear.

    Hello

Welcome aboard Dacre, hope you enjoy your visits to this site, and I look forward to reading your posts.
  11. Thanks Simon, not sure I'll get the chance to wear these especially in the British summer we're having.
  12. Hi HFMROK good to see you here, hope to see you posting regularly too.
  13. Recently we had a day out to go swimming as a family, and I decided to borrow my wifes shoes which look a bit like trainers as they were quick to slip on. I stress they look only very slightly feminine, and are not noticably womens. However our teenage daughters know they are their mums, and it appears that so does our 5 year old. As we got out of the car at the leisure centre, the 5 year old says "Dad why are you wearing mums shoes?" Both my teenage daughters and their friend looked down, and all 3 laugh hysterically. My wife says "why not? they don't look like womens shoes do they?" I just look at them, tut and carry on towards the entrance. My eldest daughter giggles a bit more, asks me why I'm wearing mums shoes again, I just said that they were comfortable and quick to slip on. That was the end of the conversation. All went as normal then, no more was said about dad wearing mums shoes. I'm guessing that would be the reaction of most people to a guy in womens shoes / heels, takes them by surprise and they react, as long as it isn't made into an issue it's soon forgotten. What do you all think?

    Hello

hi Heels (pun intended) welcome to Heels4Men. I look forward to seeing any pics you post and hope to get to know you here too.
  15. crop trousers from next and mules from Evans a few years ago. I have no fashion sense but just for fun what do you think?
  16. Nice blog Cassie, just posted a reply on there. I have nothing new to post of late, how about you guys? This site could do with a kick up the rear to get it going though.
  17. I'm not a big fan of pointy toes on shoes either but those don't look terribly long like some I've seen. They're not for me though, so if you like them, enjoy them.
  18. Here is my take on the validity of keeping this site going. When I told my wife I liked to wear heels her first reaction was the "are you gay" one followed by "are you going to have a sex change on me". The 2 common responses from what I've seen from other guys. I was then posting at HHplace and she walked in and "caught" me there. We browsed through together and because she is looking to back up her own beliefs about men and heels she notices all the posts about wearing skirts and the CD/TV stuff. Puts my case back a few months as I again have to reassure her not all men who wear heels want to go full TV or CD. That could be avoided with a site like this one for men in heels to come to. They could then introduce their partners with no fears about showing them men in heels dressed as women.
  19. My wifes answer to this deep sociological question was "it just is". I think the answer is as Elegant pointed out, it isn't common enough. Heeling for men would need a figurehead with some major clout. Even David Beckham didn't manage to make it acceptable for men to wear a sarong, and heels for men will take at least as much exposure to become widespread.
  20. "Be yourself - everyone else is taken" From Oscar Wilde " I have to be me, nobody else will" forgot where I heard this one though.
  21. Would be nice if you could post some sample pics (without links first) so we can get an idea of what you offer. Then if interested people can find out more by private messaging. Are you getting many orders, it would be interesting for us here to know how much demand there is for mens heels.
  22. Don't let it die, keep posting. There is much to discuss about wearing heels as a guy in male attire.
  23. That's helpful if you have female friends and relatives who know and can help you get the right look. How did your sister find out, or what prompted you to tell her? How did you tell the people around you about your heels?
  24. Everyone in movies has makeup on, so that's not a good example. But I do agree that the gender lines are being blurred more and more in a lot of areas. Men are spending more time on their appearance now, I think that the workplace has changed which is expediting this trend. To clarify that, more men are working in office jobs (in the West anyway) instead of manual labour which means they can spend time on their look without it being a waste of time when they get to work and ruin it all. Now they can have a manicure (which seems to be getting more popular I notice) and it won't get messed up digging coal, or laying bricks. Will makeup follow this trend pattern, or are men not vain enough yet? Back to the topic, I think heeled Oxfords are a step in the right direction for men to wear heels, as they are historically mens styles and the addition of the heel doesn't really change that. The rest of the outfit you describe sounds sharp, gloves and a bag would blur the gender of the outfit again, although men did wear gloves a few decades ago....
  25. Having come late to the heels4men party I missed the pics so can't comment. Not sure about makeup on men though it was big in the 80's, and made a bit of a comeback sometime more recently.
