I actually quite like that style, and would like to try them myself.

Good to hear you're back on track. As for this below Maybe he needed a little reminder that he was in stacking shelves while you were there doing the buying which pays for him to be there stacking shelves. Well handled though :-)

I just went to a local Asda and saw some boots I'd like, Mrs Shyguy didn't seem to take the hint for my christmas present though. The first two are £20 each and the 3rd ones £26 What's on your xmas wishlist?

I'm sure we've all seen shoes at the side of the road (why is there often just one shoe?) but where have you seen shoes unexpectedly? A pic to start you off

. Belated happy birthday, and what a treat you gave yourself, those hidden wedges look great

This weekend was a family celebration, so all my daughters and even my wife had heels on which is a rarity. When we came back my two older daughters decided to go clubbing but had to wait while one did her baby bottles. While they were waiting my eldest decided she needed a cigarette and that she would use her younger sisters wedges to go out in as they slipped on. She slipped one foot in one and lifted the other foot to slip into the second and promptly fell down in a great big heap as her ankle refused to support her on the thin wedge. The heels are very nice though, and I was a little jealous not to get to try them ;-)

Is this the start of a new hobby, complaint emails?

Our younger cat (still around 15 we think) recently had to be put down, he had a good innings and was well cared for but he was just old and became infirm and unable to move without obvious pain. The other, older cat, is still around though and leaving fur everywhere. Sounds like you have been adopted by the cat, and he has you doing his bidding already Freddy.

Bit Embarrassing .....

Hopefully they do an "Evans" and send you some shoes as compensation lol. -
Wow, what an eventful journey. I know most of that journey you took in the car, and how Borehamwood and Stanmore can be on bad days. At least you made the start, and survived the journey on public transport in heels, kudos to you.

Something Interesting In Westfield Maybe

I was following the museums coverage on Twitter, looks like it would be worth a visit. Today I can't find the link I followed yesterday to post here. -
Interesting workday, did they or did they not notice? And if they did would they say anything anyway? At least there was no negative to this adventure, thanks for sharing with us all.

Definitely "ouch". I guess that's the lows of wearing high heels, especially when it's all going wrong.

I have worn my lower wedge heeled shoes and block heeled boots to the cinema in the past when me and Mrs Shyguy have had a night out. Nothing as daring as stiletto boots, and nothing above 2 inches or so. Good to hear somebody wearing heels to the cinema and enjoying trouble free and comment free heeling in a public setting. Thanks for sharing the story Euchrid

Aha so it was an actual event being planned then. -
Wow are you having some bad luck with the water works at the moment. Still at least it's sorted before too much damage is done.

Look perfect for the Rocky Horror Show, very nice.

I found out from a Northampton Museum post on Facebook. Curious -

Sounds fantastic Euchrid. I didn't make it to Rocky in MK but my wife is up for it next time it comes around. I may even be able to wear heels. Your write up sounds like you had a lot of fun, and that despite your fears your friend was as open minded as she claimed to be. Great result and thanks for sharing.

Personally I would use this as a good excuse to indulge in heeling while benefiting a good cause AND expect most people who sponsored it would see it as a charity event and nothing more. Obviously there would be some (hopefully good natured) ribbing to take from some people until they moved onto something and someone else. I think I'd be willing to find out if this was being done locally, on which point a friend of my wifes runs a charity and does many fund raisers so I wonder how I could get this suggested to her?
