  1. If you're after the challenge then go with the stiletto, but for me I would be looking at the black boots to wear outside. Whatever you choose all are great looking heels.
  2. I had to check to see if there were any more videos, as it said he'd spend the day in heels. Sadly not. I've often hoped for that kind of dare though
  3. The weather is putting the dampers on a lot of things here. Wanted to get my motorbike back on the road but it isn't worth it yet. Heeling is also a no go for me at the moment for any number of reasons including slippery outside. We just had a light dusting of snow last night, but the ground is soaked and our garden flooded too.
  4. Those are ghastly Freddy, not sure I want to follow the link Just found these on a Facebook page which linked off of another...
  5. I can see why you'd like to try those, very unusual but strangely compelling
  6. I keep coming across fun designs and oddities as I'm surfing the net, so I'm starting this thread for all the unusual, weird and unwearable heels we find. So to start it off how about these?
  7. I was just browsing around following a Facebook link when I came upon this website. The pictures there show a load of random parts which have elasticated straps to hold the bits on your feet. Various heel and front part styles can then be paired to give a different look each time. The site linked above gives more examples of how they look when worn. Definitely not my thing, but piqued my interest when I saw the site.
  8. Get those wedge pics posted then so I can comment on them...
  9. I'm getting mixed messages from this report FF, seems like it was OK but not entirely worth the petrol money. I'm not so keen on the black platforms, even in the right size, but the tan coloured wedges in the pic above are interesting.
  10. Some good points there Freddy, I seem to recall a similar discussion on the other forums and that had a very similar kind of vibe i.e. most started at an impressionable age. It would be interesting to see what kind of jobs people did too, as it would seem to be logical that those with inquiring minds and who tried heels would also end up in jobs where inquiring minds were pre-requisite. Also in the stories so far I have seen parallels to my own life experience with heels, i.e enjoying the feeling and wanting more, then maybe trying crossdressing and finding that the other female attire wasn't needed. It's all about the shoes ;-)
  11. But isn't that the big question these days Freddy, "will it blend?" Many many things do, from bananas to Iphones
  12. It's very interesting to hear how it all started for everyone, and some great stories coming in, let's hope some of the lurkers will jump in too.
  13. You have expensive taste in shoes Freddy ;-) Almost back on topic -I can also remember the first time I bought shoes online, and having to show them to Mrs Shyguy (not a great supporter of me in heels even now but then it was real tough) so she would at least know what was going on. After the initial debates and an agreement that I could order, just to try on, some heels from an online catalogue the deed was done. Another buzz when I got home to a stern looking wife with a parcel and the words "this is yours". I went upstairs and unwrapped a pair of stilettos and put them on. A huge buzz and that same feeling I had the first time. I still have them now..
  14. Hi Haxan, welcome to the forum. We're a friendly bunch but pretty quiet on the whole so dive right in and share your experiences good and bad to help bring up the noise levels.
  15. My first time wearing "heels" started when I was staying at a cousins house. She had some burgundy shoes with a low heel, which I put on one time when curiosity got the better of me. I think the excitement of breaking a taboo (very strict parents on that score - boys don't play with dolls even action man, dress up in anything other than total male clothing etc.) and the weird feeling of being in some feminine article of clothing gave me a huge buzz at the time. As I was often left to my own devices and my aunt was a very feminine dresser with lots of heels, I had the opportunity to go higher still almost immediately and I felt the need to, firstly with some cork wedges and then some gold stilettos with what seemed to the, only just pre-teen, me very high heels but were probably 3 inches or so. There was also an added buzz of maybe getting caught when trying these shoes on which probably kicked off an addiction to that buzz like an adrenaline junky. So that was the first time for me which lead to the love for high heels I have today 30 years on...
  16. The coming of the internet and the option to buy online has certainly made buying shoes much easier. These days I can just find a style I like and order it to try in my own home, and the well known auction site also means many more styles at bargain prices. Sometimes it's hard not to buy shoes these days.
  17. http://www.clarks.co.uk/p/20355057 They aren't something a Shyguy like me would wear outside, but I'm quite taken by the style and the arty look. Comments welcomed..
  18. Nice spot again Freddy, thanks for posting these pictures of the shoes actually being worn.
  19. Did you see Piers Morgan with Esther Rantzen a few nights back? She was wearing skyscraper heels and running around stage in them. She's pretty nifty in a pair of heels for an oldie lol.
  20. Never thought these would be shoes you'd see in the wild so to speak. Nice catch..
  21. I'd like my stepdaughters to know too, but two of them would definitely see it as a weapon for use in any trivial disagreement, and the 3rd would probably be out and about telling everyone within seconds, not out of malice but just sheer gossip.
  22. Another thread which may need some reviving now we have some new blood in the forums. So what do you have to tell us guys?
  23. Looking back at this now 4 years on, I wonder if any of the newer members have any input to this?
  24. I remember my first time wearing heels, but they were someone elses and I didn't have access to them and sometimes felt the need to wear a pair of heels at home. The solution was obvious, buy a pair of heels of my own, but that had some drawbacks i.e. how does it look for a guy buying heels in a size which is probably his own? I was young and did a lot of driving for my job, so I had plenty of opportunity to buy some heels away from anywhere I'd be known, but I was also very shy and self-conscious at the same time. Several times I stopped near a shoe shop and got to the door before walking away, probably looking very guilty. I stopped once outside a shop in NW London which had some great looking heels in the window and walked up to the door and inside. Once inside, with a dry mouth and sweaty palms I asked for a pair I'd seen in a size 8. Did the shopkeeper just look at me like I'd shoplifted or was it my own imagination? I didn't know, knowing what I know now he probably just furrowed his brow to remember if he had that size in that style. He didn't have my size so after all the build up I'd have to try again elsewhere. Eventually I plucked up courage again, and went to a shop in West London which hadn't been open long but had some stiletto styles on display in the window. The shop emptied within a minute or two as I was browsing, then the shopkeeper walked over and started talking, and enquired as to what I was looking for. I swallowed and asked to see some black stilettos in a size 8 for my girlfriend (I lied badly). No go, they only went to size 7 and only in white at that time. Having plucked up courage to get this far again, I decided I'd give it a go and asked if they could be returned if they didn't fit her (the lie might still hold I hoped). I bought a pair of white stilettos a size too small which I wore a few times when the need hit me. I couldn't keep them at home as my mum would clean my room while I was working so they were kept in my company car. I had to change the car after a year or so, so as I passed a skip one day I threw the shoes in as I had nowhere else to put them for the changeover. So that's my long winded story, how was your first time buying heels?
