  1. I quite like those in Black, not enough to bay at the price though ;-)
  2. Ahhh so those are the "socks" all the kids are raving about these days then. The plan was only a short time wearing the shoes. The best laid plans....
  3. OK, here's a cautionary tale for you guys. Today while the family were out I put on a pair of not very high heeled Mary Jane style shoes. Comfortable enough to wear around the house for a while I had almost forgotten I had them on as I washed up, put away the dishes and wandered around the house. No worries as I had a good few hours with the house to myself. It was after about an hour and a half I suddenly realised the straps across my feet were causing a little discomfort after this length of time. I took off the shoes and put them away, but on both feet there was a tell tale strap mark across the top of them. It's taken a bath, and another hour and a bit before those marks are disappearing enough to be almost unnoticeable. Luckily the family have all stayed a bit later than they were going to or that would have been difficult to explain.
  4. And now for something completely different.. The tinman told Dorothy to get her skates on
  5. At least they would be interesting, Mrs Shyguy buys flats and very boring shoes which she only wears once. A couple of months ago it was £45 for some boots, very plain very flat boots. Worn once and now shoved in the cupboard and in their place on her feet some equally boring £20 Asda boots.
  6. Back on topic we have these... Found on another Facebook page here
  7. Well I shall be 45 going on 65 in April if anyone wants to buy me a present ;-)
  8. Almost every day I wake at 5am. Even if I haven't gone to bed until the early hours, which does happen occasionally, I will still wake at 5am. Used to be up for work at 4am for a few years but now have to leave at just after 6am. Even as a schoolboy I was up before 6am most days. Most days I have to get up and do something or I wake Mrs Shyguy and that's not a good thing in the morning. I am trying to get back into the habit of walking the dog for the health benefits, and wearing heels while doing so makes it a little easier.
  9. How about these which I would term the cheaters heels as they don't have heels but.... Found here
  10. I'm always awake early, usually around 5 am so a 6:30 start is a bit late for me and the complete opposite of Freddy time as I'm in bed sleepy by 11pm lol. And yes 6:30 am is way before any of my teenage daughters feels like getting up, or Mrs Shyguy so I avoid all of them at this time in the morning. Wasn't expecting to see the neighbour but hey ho.
  11. It's been something I've thought about, but I'm sure it's not going to happen as my wife would never want to do something like it. As hh4evr1 said I'd like to be able to get them off when discomfort set in, I like heels but not at any cost.
  12. After another long lay off, I finally got up today to walk the dog, and decided heels was the way to go. As it's been a while discretion was the watchword and I went with my wedge heeled boots, not too high but comfortable for a walk. As I walked out of the front door (6:30am but still light) I see another dog walker, who strikes up a conversation. I wasn't too concerned even though our dog is a small one and it means people look down to see her and also she will be close to my feet. I saw the man look down a few times but the conversation flowed. It transpires that he lives in the corner of our court and knows my wife although we haven't spoken before. When the conversation was over we both went our separate ways, and I had a half hour out in heels with no further surprises. The ground in the fields was a little soft in places and would sink unevenly making me more happy that I hadn't gone higher in the heel department or I'd have risked an injury. All said and done it was a good walk, and heels went unnoticed by a neighbour so boosted my confidence again.
  13. Yep, those should get you noticed, but they do look great. Brave move to be wearing them out, much braver than I would be.
  14. Then we are of a similar age, as I was also a teenager in the 80's but I still like the less pointy styles. Horses and courses, vive la difference.
  15. We all have favourites in everything we do, so here let's share what our favourite heels are obviously pictures would be better than descriptions but either is great. My personal favourite pair came from Evans online, and have a small platform sole and are patent black Mary-Jane style with a stiletto heel. Very comfortable with a cushioned sole and not too high to wear for a while. Here is a pretty poor picture of them...
  16. I have to disagree with the last point Heelman, I much prefer the look of the rounded and almond toes to the pointier styles. As long as the toes don't get too elongated though it's still OK.
  17. A good looking shoe there Heelman, hope to see the promised pictures soon. How are they to walk in etc. also has to be shared :-)
  18. Another unusual design, finding a lot of these at this Facebook page
  19. Made for the female Storm Troopers in a galaxy far far away
  20. Agree with the tattoos on women, not a good look. Unfortunately my wife likes them and has 3 or 4. Anyway here's another oddity
  21. Have fun and enjoy those boots. Making me more jealous with each pic lol
  22. Those Evans boots look great Heelman500. I kept looking at a pair in Evans a while back but never managed to have the funds when the size was still in stock. Good to hear about the managers openness at Barrats too. A little envious of those boots though :-)
