  1. Yes, I saw them and thought similar thoughts to yours!
  2. Like Puffer, I'm not really interested in US politics (or British ones, come to that) but Trump's victory has certainly caused a stir, and it was immediately likened to Brexit. Personally I think there are two types of people in this world - ordinary people and politicians - so to me the latter are all as bad as each other, but if Trump is to be believed, he might be a better ally for us than Clinton would have been. Whether he wears heels though has not been disclosed, so far as I know... ;-) Oh, I love that picture with Trump printed on one line and Pence on the next. Doesn't he know it should be Cents, or is this evidence of his anglophilia?
  3. I pulled the trouser legs up for the photo to show the heels. These are floor length with the heels. I haven't got as far as skinny jeans with heels, but I'm getting bold enough to wear stilettos with long boot cut jeans. I went round a supermarket in stiletto boots (thanks FastFreddy!) a few months ago and intend doing it again, possibly round a mall.
  4. Those are the ones. Well found. This photo's a bit dark but I think it shows off the narrow heel and wedge. I'll just have to see what my wife thinks of me wearing them.
  5. Ah well, I'll just have to resign myself to logging in every time. Are there different settings for transvestite and crossdresser? Perhaps that's the problem...
  6. Transvestite is from the Latin, meaning precisely crossdresser, so any distinction reasoned from the words themselves is absolute cobblers, to use a suitable expression for this site. ;-)
  7. A couple sign themselves out after several hours but the rest stay connected, on any operating system. This site signs out after a few minutes on any operating system.
  8. Obviously a kick-him-out setting by the mod... XP, 7, Android - all the same. I get disconnected after about 5 minutes of inactivity.
  9. < To think 'cross-dressing' is the same as 'transvestite' is a misnomer. They aren't. Lazy, uneducated people with no real-life experience might choose to think they are, but they can't be. Well, I'm lazy and ignorant. What I'm saying is that the words mean exactly the same etymologically. If people want to make binary or even decimal differences, that's fine, but I'm not going to be drawn into an argument, as I'm too lazy and too ignorant to be bothered.
  10. I remember asking the question about the difference on another site, and getting several different answers. The silly thing is that the words mean exactly the same. By your definition, then, I'm a partial crossdresser, but I don't like being tagged as one, as I'm not wanting to look androgynous - I'm a man who happens to like some of the clothing generally understood to be the domain of women. A woman who wears some men's clothes in her outfit is not seen as a crossdresser, so why should I be seen as one if I return the compliment?
  11. Yes, I know. Sorry. I thought I'd saved the bigger picture on the Ebay listing but obviously only the thumbnail. I'll upload more when I get them
  12. Is there any way of stopping the site logging out automatically after a few minutes? It's rather annoying when I have the site open, have to do something else for a while (like work!) and then go back to the site and find it's logged me out, particularly if I want to reply to a post. I've been through the settings but can't find anything.
  13. Don't worry - no offence taken! It's certainly a concise expression. It also annoys me when people speak of a six inch heel increasing their height by six inches. It would do that only of there were also a six inch platform. My pedantic mind - don't let it worry you! What gets to me is that women can wear what clothes they want, from either 'side of the store', and no one says a word. If a man does the same, he is 'gay', a 'pervert', etc. She can raid a man's wardrobe, but feels threatened if a man does the same to her. I'm not a crossdresser as such - I like fashion freedom. To me a crossdresser is generally someone trying to look like a woman, while I'm comfortable with being male but just wearing what clothes I like, which incidentally is mainly shoes.
  14. Just won these on Ebay. Four inch wedge heels, quite slim. I think They should be ideal for everyday wear.
  15. I don't like the expression 'ladies shoes'! They're not ladies' shoes - they're mine! They just happen to have come from the other side of the store. They come from the side with almost infinite variety of style and colour rather than the side with the choice of black or brown, heavy or very heavy, flat or flat, styleless or styleless...
  16. Nice to hear about you again. I think you are in an interview on the Web about your heel wearing. I wear heels not just because I like them but to help my back too. I'm in them all day most days.
  17. I agree it was careless but have you REALLY never left heels somewhere you shouldn't have? ;-) She's OK enough with me in heels to accompany me in them so long as they are masculine-ish styles. Funnily enough she's fine with a pair of boots I think are too pointy. They're block heeled cowboy boots and otherwise very subtle and very easy to walk in. Her main question was what heels I'd be happy to be seen in by visitors. My 'pushing' of my heels is because I resent being dictated to by convention that says women can wear anything they like but men are perverts/gay/weird if they wear anything outside the strict 'norm' as determined by so-called society. I don't want to offend family or close friends but couldn't care less what other people think - I used to be afraid of being laughed at, but why should I worry about that? What about all these teenagers with colossal holes in their ear lobes? I think they're gross, but would I laugh openly when I see them? I hope not - it's their freedom of expression, just like heels for me. I'm just slowly trying to introduce the thought of me in heels to people a bit closer. My reason, apart from liking them, is that they are a miracle cure for backache, which I get after just a couple of minutes of standing in flat shoes.
  18. I haven't seen either of them since then. I also wore them a couple of weeks ago when a mutual friend/work colleague came to lunch. I know he saw them as we had lunch in the garden and I was wobbling a bit on the lawn, but nothing was said, and there was no change in his attitude to me. A bit of an embarrassment last week when the 18-year-old son of a friend was helping me sort out a rotting portacabin and he unearthed some 3.5 inch cowboy boots I'd forgotten about. I was able to explain to him that I wear them for the sake of my back, and thanked him for finding them. I think he might have bought that one. However, a couple of days later he found a pair of six-inch platform sandals... He presented them to my wife, to her considerable embarrassment, as you may imagine. I didn't say anything more to him, and he went home the next day. The shit hit the fan in the bedroom that evening, as you may imagine! I agreed to get rid of my stilettos (or the ones she knows about!) but still have my man-mode heels and wear them all day most days. I had 3.5 inch wedges on the whole time the kid was with us. Now, will Mummy and Daddy and brother get to know about my little interest? We just wait to find out!
  19. Well, a first for me this morning... Our number two son turned up last night, about two hours before we expected him, and I took my heels off quick. (The same son I mentioned in an earlier post.) This morning I was determined his presence wouldn't make any difference to our household arrangements, so I put my 'work' heels on before leaving the house. I'm almost sure he saw them - he probably noticed my difference in height, if nothing else. He didn't comment, though. I'll be interested to see if there are any repercussions - I don't think he'd mention it on Facebook...!
  20. Not sure. Here they are. I don't normally wear beige stockings at all but these show the detail of the shoes more. It's not a brilliant picture, but the heels are about 5 inches with an inch platform, really narrow.
  21. I'm very tempted but I have a pair just over 4 inches I'd wear if I get round to it. They have a very thin stiletto! I also have the boots you kindly supplied plus another pair with a bit of a platform. I have several pairs of stilettos with platforms, up to 7.5 inches, but obviously something a bit more subtle is the order of the day most of the time! Today I'm wearing my Adidas thin wedge trainers which are quite nice with no socks and have a 5 inch heel.
  22. Any stilettos! Boots would be more stable (like the ones I bought from you), and in shoes I have nothing between 4 inch courts and 5.5 inch courts, both with no platform. I have higher ones with platforms but don't really like them. The 5.5s are a bit high for me for everyday walking, and the 4 inchers are a bit big so not so stable as they might be.
  23. I'm wearing these toe-posts as slippers - on straight out of bed in the morning, until I change into my day heels. I'm definitely feeling the pull on my tendons when I take my heels off at the end of the day! I'm trying to psyche myself up for stilettos in public.
  24. Further to this, I've found a browser that works with most sites - certainly the best for this one: Dolphin.
