I bought new ankle boots some time ago... material is real leather, heel height is 3". Very comfortable to wear.

and wore them right away at mall after getting out of the shoe shop :) I spent about 3 hours at mall with my wife, last went to grocery where she took the pic of me. After 3 hours no comments or double looks, everything was very natural and at least I didn't notice anyone to notice my shoes... or at least they didn't react if they did.

I thought of collecting new and old photos of me and my shoes here under one thread... for some reason I was unable to upload pics to members gallery.

But anyways, here is Jinx out and about. Please feel free to comment.

Good choice of boot! Looks very passable/wearable. B)

Collecting photo's of yourself under one thread is an excellent idea, and would amount to a blog? It would allow us all to see what you'd been up to in heels.

While few post here, many read the boards without being members, and I know members also read the board without first logging in. [i've been told this directly, so know it to be true.]

As for the Members Gallery, it's a bit of a strange one. Could be (and I don't know for sure) you need to make more posts? It might be you need to make 10 or 15 first? I've read of others having trouble using it, though I haven't..... The only difference I'm aware of between them, was post count. They've both upped that, and seem to be using the Gallery now, as expected.

That said, I believe the Gallery is viewable by anyone. Including pictures in a thread like this, means you have to be a member to see them - and may be more attractive if you want to keep your face more discreet?

Keeping blog makes me feel unconfortable, it makes me feel pressure to keep it up to date... while thread like this gives room in my own mind to come back and tell my stories and show pictures when I feel like it. I know it is only my own head playing tricks on me but what gives... this is way I found it most natural way to share my experiences.

Regarding the galleries, I suspected post count as well. I'll give it a shot again once I have more posts on my account. And for the privacy of my face... well, I go out wearing heels to everyone to see me... ;) I used to favor pictures without head or behind when I was out in heels but then I realized that what the heck, it is me wearing those heels and I'm out where everyone can see me as I am - I asked question from myself, why should I fear pictures of me showing my identity while I don't hide my face when going out in public either? And answer lies in the photos taken me nowdays, like the one in my first post in this thread :)

For the sake of the pictures, here is one old I found from my computer, must be from 2005 or so, younger and much more fit me post-1395-0-32466800-1347616207_thumb.jp

And while I'm on the topic finding old pictures on my computer, here is one couple of years old. I attented costume party with my wife. My wife dressed up as Elvis and I played role of his muse. We really had a blast, danced for hours and had so much fun.

So here is me as Elvis' muse post-1395-0-37074900-1347616581_thumb.jp I wore shord denim dress and had these on post-1395-0-96036800-1347616616_thumb.jp for whole night. And I can tell that I got quite lots of comments for the boots, all positive and admiring, some women were amused of my ability wear heels and dance all night just like that... little they know ;)

Fair comment. B)

For myself, I'm happy at a little pressure. I wore heels today for around 4 hours in public. I would have made faster progress with my afternoon if I hadn't worn them, but I knew full well if I didn't wear them, I would have regretted not making the effort.

It's easy, easier, to come here and read without making the effort to be creative and post something. Less extrovert members might say (in their defence for not contributing) that they do so little no-one would be interested. I can't agree.

If one man say's he wears heels for one hour a day, he's a lone voice in a big space. If 20 men say they wear heels for one hour a day, that's a small crowd in a [now] less big place. If 200 men say they wear heels for one hour a day, that's a community who wears heels filling any space.

Not a blog, but a linked set of reports, a scrapbook of events .... Whatever it might be, will help us all consider our interest in heels to be more normal than we think it now. I write here as often as I can, not just to [hopefully] inspire men and women to move toward acceptance of men in heels, but to help create a legacy [in younger minds perhaps] that it's okay to be a man and enjoy wearing heels.

I'm seldom without the self-induced pressure to continue my heeling interest, and write the narrative for it. And for me that's no bad thing. ;)

Miltboot, I have not worn those OTK boots since outdoors, only couple of time indoors.

hh4evr1 and Love4heels, thanks, I feel very comfortable with those boots, they are masculine enough not to attract any unwanted attention. People see them but go on their own business' without reactions.

ff2, I agree on your points. Every outing and post about it counts and encourages others to try maybe someday something similar on their own.

And to keep it on the out and about topic, today I wore the same new ankle boots to toys'r'us and hardware store. Got some looks but no comments. I was there with two of our kids and my wife. She took picture from behind me not knowing it. Later she shared the pic with me :)

Another interesting report, and technically perfect photo. B)

Your wife has caught your heel at exactly it's most exposed position. ;) The journey out and accompanying illustration making it almost like reading the blog you don't want to commit to. :P:D

Seriously, the normality of it, is very encouraging. B)

Thanks :) That's the way I want to look, feel and hope others would relate as well... being man, being able to wear shoes that happen to have few inches heel, being totally normal about it and world around me being totally normal about it. A great man once said "I have a dream" and he made the world turn... and this is my take on making my dream come true.

The shoes above, all look very wearable, and I particularly like the second pair. B)

I've been out twice wearing heels over the last two days. The first was something of a challenge from a venue I'm not used to experiencing attention. The second, a completely new venue I'd never been to.

I can tell you, the "I have a dream", phrase (as narrated in that famous speech), was running around the inside of my head while walking around in uncertain circumstances. It was very uplifting. I don't expect you thought you were providing a motivational lesson on heel wearing when you wrote it, but it was a very timely reminder that sometimes we have to 'want' something, to make it happen. ;)

Good call. B)

Nice! Good to hear that it works also on others, not just me :)

There is a big mental difference if you wish or you want something. If you really want something, your mind will make its ways to make you to accomplish your dream. If you just wish something to happen, you are waiting for fairy godmother to make it happen for you. But if you want something, you will make it work for you and then you get blessings from fairy godmother ;)

Fully agree. B)

I've read a lot of posts where men would say they 'have a dream' of wearing 'this' or wearing 'that', with no appreciable evidence they have the will to make their dream a reality. That maybe because dreams are painless, with no disappointment or failure allowed.

Two days ago (Friday) following my visit to Meadow Hall in Sheffield on Thursday, I went to Brent Cross shopping mall in North London, and then on to Westfield White City, a shopping mall in West London.

As I have met someone I knew in Brent Cross, I wore my usual Harley Davidson boots. Had a good walk around before leaving for Westfield.

Arriving at Westfield I had decided to wear some higher/thinner heeled boots. I have worn them there before, but only after wearing another pair of less obvious high heeled boots first, to acclimatise myself to the environment there. It's also a place with such smooth floors and space, walking around in heels provides a good 'work out' for ankles and feet pressure points. (Meaning: stay too long and you'll suffer. ;):D )

This time I changed into my boots with a thin 4½" heel, before leaving the car park, and without a trial run in the shopping areas first. I'd like to say I felt like I was being brave, but the truth is I won't live forever, and my body is showing signs of 'wear and tear'. Meaning that even if it suddenly became socially acceptable for men to wear heels tomorrow, my (physical) ability and opportunity to wear heels publicly, is diminishing all the time.

So I'm motivated by desperation perhaps, but motivated I am. ;) "I have a dream", and I want to make that dream as real as I can..... For me at least. B)

We walked around for over an hour and something, almost until the place closed at 10pm. [Didn't want to get caught in the closing rush in the car park.] I wanted to visit two shops in particular, and my escort wanted to visit Marks and Spencer.

I found the River Island boot I wanted to see 'in the flesh', but it's just too expensive for a shoe I won't wear out:

£85 boot From River Island. post-40-0-10202100-1348390298_thumb.jpg

I not only found another boot I was interested in, inside Zara, but it was there in an EU41 (which they claim is a UK8.)

Slightly more modestly priced at £70. post-40-0-78628000-1348390415_thumb.jpg

While I was aware there is a security chap on the door with access to 20 or so security camera's, and the place full with circa 25/30 shoppers, I tried on the boots. Was a bit of a struggle, as I had to remove a sock I wore (but left on the thin hose ankle sock) to get my foot into the Zara shoe, as the sock made my foot too big to get into the boot comfortably. This meant putting my foot into the Zara boot twice while standing, with me then putting my original boot back on afterward. I doubt I've done a more awkward manoeuvre anywhere .... And I know my face went scarlet while completing it.

The conclusion is, they are a borderline fit, though having a leather upper, they will undoubtedly 'give' over time. Just as my Harley D boots have. In fact they might both be about the same size? Something like a 7½ rather than a UK8 as Zara indicate.

While in this particular store, I did notice a woman take a great deal of interest in my footwear. I let her know I was watching her watching me, but in hindsight, I think I should have just tried to strike up a conversation as unlikely a successful outcome might be....

Without doubt I was noticed by others, including an Asian kid of about 10 years, who REALLY rudely stared at me, not my shoes, but my face. I stared back of course, but my second head had him mesmerised? In fact he didn't stop looking at me (my face) until I walked past him. I checked, but he didn't look at me again, nor at my feet. Weird?

By this time, [9.45pm] my camera battery was flat [see piccies elsewhere] and my left ankle was getting weak, so it was time to leave.

Bit of a mixed evening. But I was out in heels. I didn't get any abuse (of any kind) nor did I endure any trauma like falling over or tripping. [Though I did have a couple of little heel slides when I turned too quickly, but I managed to recover all 3 times.]

For the most part, and I must be talking high 90%, like 97 or 98, I went unnoticed enough for me to be ignorant to anyone seeing me in heels. Sure I was seen, but did it matter to me, did it change anything to me? Not that I was aware of, and that included my 'try on' while standing in Zara, while potentially in full view of many women shoppers.

I lived to tell the tale. I achieved something I wanted, but was never sure I'd be able to do: Walk straight into and around, a large mall in high thin heels, and enjoy doing it. B)

Of course it would have been easier to spend time walking around an attractive and huge venue if the place had been empty..... But reality insists other shoppers get to visit when I do. :D

So true.

Dissapointment and failures are part of life you (me, we) live, and as soon as you are not afraid to fail or get dissapointed, you'll find a new world to conquer.

I lived to tell the tale. I achieved something I wanted, but was never sure I'd be able to do: Walk straight into and around, a large mall in high thin heels, and enjoy doing it. B)

I've worn thin high heels out only two times. First time was years ago when I was just starting to explore world of heel wearing outdoors, and second time few years a go at cruise.

I found my old post at hhplace regarding the cruise I mentioned... will share it here as well :)

Posted 27 March 2010 - 12:01 AM

Spent two days cruising with my wife. We danced a lot, spent time just wandering around, had great meals, etc. And most of the time I wore heels biggrin.png

I got great encouragement from my wife once again, whole cruise she was complementing my looks and courage to wear footwear of my choise.

First night I had my 4" black leather ankle boots while we enjoyd dinner together. First pics are from our cabin when we were getting ready to go out. And last pic is from restaurant... in last pic heels are not that wisible but you get the idea. Later on I changed to brown 3" block heel ankle boots.

Second day I had same brown ankle boots as last night. No pics of me wearing those, sorry.

I surely got some looks and double looks and direct staring, but no comments or questions asked.

Addon to the old story, the brown ankle boots I mentioned are the ones shown few posts ago.

I doubt any of us would underestimate the difference it makes, getting support and encouragement from our spouse or partner. While I don't get encouragement as such, I have gotten acceptance. It makes my life so much easier than it would otherwise be.

You have a great attitude, and I guess that makes it a pleasure for your good wife to support you. B)

I'm not particularly religious, but I'm tempted to suggest you are doubly blessed. ;):P:D

That said, just like Love4heels, I'd say you've probably earned those blessings. B)

Acceptance is respecting others' opinions and choises. And in relationship respect is one of the fundamentals one should build up. You can argue and have different views of things, but as long as both have respect on each other, things will work out.

My wife, well yes, she is something very special. She have never said a single word against my heel wearing. She is always very supportive, no matter where we are going or whom ever we are going to meet, she always encourages me to put heels on if I like. We love each other, we respect each other and we are honest to each other. We do have argues and we don't agree on every aspect of everything, but we still respect each others views.

I told her day one when we met that I have thing for women shoes and I wear them as well, and that is something that I can't change or I can't hide, it is part of me and it won't go away even if I would like to (which I don't, also said that). And she didn't blink an eye, just said with a warm grin on her face, 'then show me you shoes man, impress me', and here we are B)

That Jinx, is one very special person. B)B)

Don't think I'm ungrateful about my own circumstance, Mrs Freddy is a wonderful/generous/giving person too. I get to wear heels whenever, and just about wherever I want too. ;) But I think your good lady wife seems to have needed a lot less persuading than mine appeared to.

I think we are both very lucky people. [And Mrs Freddy would certainly tell everyone I'm lucky! :P:D ]
