Wicked is meant to be a background story to The Wizard Of Oz, telling how Glinda the good witch and Elphaba the wicked witch became who they were and their friendship. In the original cast I wasn't so keen on the spoken voice of Glinda (may have been part of the acting), but when she sang she was good. Elphaba (Idina Menzel) was a very good singer. I also thought the wizard didn't quit fit in right Glad you enjoyed the evening.

I'm seeing lots of nice boots being worn lately and also there are not lots of boots available to buy.

They are nice shoes. I may need a better quality pair of 5" black court shoes.

I brought the New Look pair today. Nice fit. The straps have elastic at the end for easy getting them on and hold them in place once on. They also have a functioning zip at the rear so the strap round the ankle isn't needed to be undone. (It may not be a functioning buckle, more for decoration.)

Nice choices. I would wear all of them. The shoes would be for indoors only though as I'm not one for wearing heeled shoes in public.

Option iv is la good choice. Everyone wins

I may find out this afternoon, as I have work again.

I had to go to the doctors the other day. As I had some time to wait between finishing work and my appointment I went to Tesco. I had seen some black patent court shoes with studs I liked (not metal, but the same black patent as the shoes) I brought them and while in the doctors she noticed them and said they were nice and asked in a round about way if they were for me to wear. I said yes and she seemed ok about it and we talked shoes for awhile. She wants a pair of Louboutin shoes so I showed her a picture of my pair, which she loved. I may have to go back to see her once my tablets run out and am probably going to wear heel when I go. She is size 8 and about 5, 11" so thinks she is to tall to wear higher heels although she loves them.

I wore my ankle boots to work Tuesday. They are cowboy looking from New Look and have a 4" heel. I wore slightly longer jeans and shirt. When I got there two of my colleagues were staying to do the accounts ( the accounts person has recently left and they are learning/practising), usually we work alone. The place is quiet until the kids come in for sweets after leaving school and dance classes start. Not sure if they noticed the heels. Both colleagues said nothing to me about my boots. I'm sure one of them noticed. Two ladies came in for coffee and I think they noticed. There is a lady who works with special needs adults who knows about me wearing heels. I would have shown her but not while the managers were there.

That won't take long. My nephew (aged 3 at the time) came into my room and I had left a pair of my shoes out as I had been wearing them and was going to wear them again later. He asked whos shoes they were and I said "they were mine" He then said "they are like ladies shoes".

With those trousers the shoes are hidden enough to look like boots.

Glad you enjoyed the evening and the heel wearing. Would you wear stilettos there again, knowing about the haard floor etc. What were the disasters? Hope you didn't damage your shoes

Take a spare pair, just incase you get a heel caught in a pavement crack.

You must walk well in them for your walk not to bring attention to the fact your wearing heels.

I haven't been to a cinema in heels, but have been to theaters in heels before. They are quite similar with carpets and dim lighting during the show. People are usually to busy to notice that I'm wearing heels.

Welcome. Most people here wear heels either privately, publically or both. I wear thicker heels in public mainly, but sometimes wear thin heels. I wear mens wear with my heels.

Shame they weren't a better fit so you could have kept them. You may have to get custom made ones.

I was in Stevenage earlier and had some spare time to kill, so I went into New Look and Primark. They both have new styles in and there are now afew pairs I really like. In hindsight it may have been a mistake to have gone in just to look.

The cat might have been out of the bag if she had seen your boots.

Nice outing, nice company and a nice pair of heels. What more could you want. I hope to find a woman to accompany me while I am wearing heels as I think it would make it easier.
