This is a great site for discussing problems, and sharing everyday issues with liking heels. If you struggle to describe the shoes you like, perhaps you can link some photo's instead?

Not everyone likes cheap/inexpensive shoes, but I find them very rewarding. My feet seem to fit into just about every style (a notable exception being Louboutins -thankfully), so I have success with most shoes and boots I like. Recently I bought a couple of pairs of black PU stilletoe courts from Select that I think look wonderful.

Yes. :oops: I did try again to get a further comment, but it only went as far as; "I was pleased you (me) could see what it would take to make me happier." Were I cynical ..... ...... I might choose to translate that as "I'm glad you finally realise what your role is, in my world." But she's a great person with a good word to say about everyone - just about, so I've no need to be cynical. I do get the impression I feel like I've found something new and interesting, and herself thinks I should have understood The Rules from the first day I could speak. :confused:

The story so far ..... I've re-written my query and included some further detail. Like, for example ..... What criteria will find the shoes, and what additional criteria will exclude them. Including the colour 'black' in a search, excludes them .... 'Stilletoe' excludes them too. Mindful they are black stilletoes, sorta makes a targeted search pointless. Or put another way, they're effectively hidden. :confused: Response late today; "It's being passed to our Technical Team". I think the listing has 3 days to run. Wonder if I'll have an answer before I have to pay again to have them relisted? :oops:

Hmmm. Not having much luck with Plan A. As reported I'd put some shoes back on that well known Internet auction place. Listing took a little massaging because when doing a search on the fields I'd completed; Like Size 7, Black, Heels, etc etc. The listing didn't appear. "Okay" thought I, I'll make everything as standard as possible, and replicate the data fields of other products that did come up on my search. An example would be size, I'd put "UK 7 - EU41" which is non-standard given the options originally offered. So I put the size to "UK 7" which was one of the listed options. First 12 hours, and now 24 hours later, despite plenty of time given for the 'indexing' to sort itself out, a Size 7 search doesn't find my shoes. Nor in fact does a search that includes "Black". So two days into my seven, anyone actually searching for a shoe like the one I've got on offer, won't find it if they specify the correct colour. And that's something I do EVERY time I do a search, to keep my results as pertinent to my buying choice as I can. :confused: I've just sent off a second 'help' message to the Auction Support Team. Hopefully they'll actually read what I write this time...... Their initial response to it can't be found in a search was; "it's there." Well I know it's there, I can see it. But can anyone else? - is the issue. And if they are searching for Black + Heels, the answer is "no they can't". Frustrating? You bet. No wonder it took me a year to start this..... :oops:

Well, I got herself to read the last two posts. There was a re-assuring sigh, and a finger moved in a circular motion indicating the paragraph below. A very interesting and thoughtful post, if I may say. :oops: So much so, I think I'm going to make a point of getting Mrs Freddy to read it, to see if I can't get a womans response? Certainly there's a concept there I've half seen, but now perhaps fully recognise. :confused: My mother encourages me no end with this. She regularly asks if I've been out in them, and when I respond "yes", it's always "Good for you." If fact she doesn't understand why I don't wear them all the time. At 80 years old, she's a little past caring what the rest of the world thinks .... My wife knows a day out from our home town will get me in heels, so she quite often suggests a visit to a shopping mall (which she wants) will have the suggestion "and you could wear heels" ... (something I want) tacked on the end of the comment. No flies on this one. She prefers me to wear - and this seems odd writing it - more masculine styles. Put another way, anything that doesn't have a stilletoe. I now have a number of what might pass for cowboy boots, and more recently I've been wearing these. Two pairs are easy to get on and off so they are suitable for quickly removing to try on other (heeled) shoes if we are out. One Sunday afternoon last summer, we were parked just off Oxford Street on our way to the West End stores. I was undecided whether to wear 'safe' block heels or some slightly more attractive blade heels. [For me, 'attractive' could mean slimmer heel, higher heel, or more difficult to walk in heel. These blade heels had 2 out of three possible strikes.] Some of my reservation was the slimmer heel being a more obvious 'tell' to what I had on my feet. To most it might at best seem like backhanded encouragement, her comment to me went something like; "If you can wear them anywhere, you can wear them here. People will be too busy to notice you." After hearing her comment, I wore the more attractive blades ..... In my relationship, I think there is now some resignation - by us both - to the fact I've not only into heels for my partner, but for myself also. I may have believed my heel wearing days were over, but plainly they weren't. And it now looks like this time they're here to stay. Well as long as my bones and muscles can cope. It would be wrong to say my partner enjoys me wearing heels, but she seems to enjoy the person I become when wearing them. Probably a coincidence since I wear them during non-work periods when we can relax a bit, but I'm not unhappy with the association. ...

Finally, after more than a year 'preparing' myself, I've gotten around to advertising something for sale on the Internet. As it happens, a pair of shoes I don't want, that rather oddly are my most recent purchase. [i often work backwards...] I've found buying on the Internet to be a bit of a mixed experience. Provided I'm getting a 'fixed feature' product, or a branded product I've seen before, it's a bit of a lottery. Sure - we win many more than we lose, or the idea wouldn't have worked .... But the duff 'uns really do cause heartache, for me at least. After some initial success with ASOS, and some PU ankle boots (as worn to the HHp 2008 World Meet), everything else from them has gone back, at some expense. Frustrating because the return address is only 10 miles from my front door and they only take postal returns. :confused: Buying shoes is becoming less of a nightmare, as I'm starting to find out what brands fit, and what brands over or under size. Consistently worst is Schuh, who think their 8 should match everyone elses 7. Twice now, their products have gone back or been resold for the sizing problem. Anyway, I've gotten some experience now, at putting something up for sale. Hopefully, all the other pairs (about 6 of mine, and perhaps 10 of hers) will be up for sale soon. :oops: More space for the next batch!

Street (photo) shots of heels, can be a bit of an emotive subject, so I'll try to post about this with some sensitivity..... Yeah, heel grips would be a VERY last resort. Size 8 should have been the right size, and they fitted quite well if I didn't have anything else on my feet. But wearing hose was a must. I won't usually have naked feet in shoes unless the shoes can be washed in a sink sometime later, and wearing hose meant my feet were made slightly too small which then allowed my heel to slip out of the shoe. They were fairly expensive compared to the styles I normally buy, even though they were in the sales. At the time, there was no way I could justify that kind of expense for shoes I would only ever look at. :confused: The same shoes have been on Evilbay a couple of times recently, with only a little wear to the soles. Not sold to me or anyone else yet .... Decision decisions .... :oops:

Went to Lakeside on Friday night [12th June], with her good self. I wore the same PU boots I'd worn last night. Madam wore these >> KG shoes << [bought earlier this year in the Sales.] We walked around, pretty much in-step. Was a little weird, but the two lots of muted clonking heels was a joy to hear, I can tell you. Started off in Primark (Primarni) trying to find the 32/34 jeans again. Don't know why, I just couldn't stop myself? Found 10+ pairs of 34/34 and each measured 33/33, which I know because I measured every pair in the store. A 32/33 would do, but it wasn't to be. Went to Marks and Spencer again too. Trying to find a white version of this top >> long sleeved T << which I use as a base layer underneath just about any top. I've not found anything similar in a mans style, and I have tried! Got 'twigged' by a fella, and maybe his girlfriend, as I walked toward them eating in a burger bar. Thought to myself "Oh dear", then instantly forgot about them. Popped into House of Fraser, and enjoyed the selection of KG shoes there, but Shoe Factory (Nine West) have really 'gone off the boil'. Their Buyer(s) last year must have been recruited from the older section of the W.I. (bless 'em). Last season I wanted just about everything in their collection. Not so this year. As we arrived late, there wasn't time to do much else. We ate at Bella Italia, and left for home around 11.30pm. Think the staff at Bella knew about my boots, but only the waitress sat the bar (we were the last to leave) tried to watch us go. And she was watching. I turned around twice, and she was breaking her neck to watch us walk up the stairs as we exited. :oops: IIRC she had a Polish accent, and I know from past experience Eastern Europeans are more easily surprised by men wearing heels, than maybe Brits are. Other than the two probables noted, there were no other incidents - if that term had to be used. Every year, getting on for almost 20, I've promised myself a new ride. Even priced a couple up ..... [GPz600 always looks good.] If I'm honest though, I think it's a dream I've given up on, now I've matured. :confused: Some years ago I spent some time in hospital. One of my fellow patients had gotten himself seriously injured on a motorbike. Not the obvious high speed prang..... He'd been doing about 10mph while turning at a 'T' junction. No other traffic involved. Front wheel slid from underneath him, and he fell onto the handlebar which pierced his belly. He will never again need loo paper, since he uses a bag instead. Put another spin on how attractive motorcycling might be to me.... It's been more than 6 years since I heard about the incident. Still troubles me. :oops:

I'm planning to (again) use a plain white paper sheet for a background. Trouble with white of course, is that the brightness of it will encourage the camera's light meter to make the image darker. Went to Brent Cross, and had a short walk around. Visited M+S, the Mens loos, and popped into Fenwicks. Left having only been 'spotted' by one or two people. These are hard to walk in as they have a 4 1/4" heel, and come with quite a strong curve on the rise. Put another way, it feels like I'm wearing 5" heels, and my gait (walk) reflected this. I should have been noticed by many more people, but I didn't stand out at all. At Oxford Street, visited M+S store, looking for the same product I couldn't find at Brent Cross. Over to Primark (Primarni) to look for some 32" waist 34" leg jeans I'd seen a couple of weeks before. Seems I wasn't fast enough with my purchasing decision, and that particular size in that jean style, has sold out everywhere.... Back to the car and drove to Regents Street, parking around the corner to Ponti's. The two girls I'm used to seeing must have left. ;-) Food is still good, though no free drinks this time.... Was only out for about 3-4 hours in total. Was spotted by very few people, and not single remark or obvious stare. A couple of years ago, one of my younger brothers got into RC Helo flying. By way of getting some experience, he bought a DOS based Flight Sim that used a similar controller, to the one you'd use in real flight. I'll confirm straightaway, I couldn't fly the sim without crash-landing, so in real world terms I've got no chance with anything moving..... :-( He too went down shyguys "loads o'money" route, but with a body repair shop, he could afford it..... ;-) When he got one flying though, he found the local clubs (with their own authorised flying zone) had membership waiting lists that ran into years ..... :-( Now some years later, things are a bit different. I'm always worried about 'ring-fencing' the natural/biological interest or growth within a Forum or site like H4M. In a regular social situation, people talk about all manner of things, not just a single subject. Women in particular don't have the facet in their personality (unless talking about Elvis or Take That) to have a single life interest. For some reason, there's a layer of men that can. In the UK, we call them "anoraks" or "train spotters". They are seldom welcome amongst regular folk, unless invited in to a pub quiz where specialist knowledge earns the team points in a competition. I'd prefer not to be labelled in such a way. I have many interests besides wearing heels. Mountain biking, for example. One of the busiest specialist Forums I'm a member of, have a "Non-(special-interest) Forum" where just about anything can be discussed. Anything you would consider 'proper' in a Church that is, and is Moderated to be Child-Friendly too. The Forum is busy, and any problem gets a solution in minutes, often by a number of qualified people. The underlying vein of the site is the specialist interest of course, but there is the chance for general chit-chat too. I'm concerned that anyone looking to join and/or contribute to the Forum might (a) expect they must only have a single interest to join or ( relinquish any other interest to be a member of value? Further, I've read somewhere in the "What Forums would you like?" thread (I think), that some of the requested Forums are already 'covered' in HHplace? On a personal level, that's no use to me, because I'm not allowed there. On a general level, it handicaps natural (progressive) interest in this site, because doors are closed that would otherwise be opened. The site is left handicapped and incapable of competing for the same interest. Imagine a scenario.... The two sites are EXACTLY replicated. One is used by men wearing heels, with no other HH interest. [so no TV/TS involvement, just men being manly amongst the general public.] Those wanting anything else, use the HHplace site. I would imagine the weight of traffic would shift significantly? With the ramping up of membership, with the hoped arrival of further contributors, I'm sure this place will rival HHplace in time anyway. :-( I need to spend a day taking pictures of my shoes and boots.
