  1. KG Outlet eh? MK is closer than Brighton, so I have a reason to go to MK once again. ;-) I did take my own advice and bought some of >> these << but they went back as I kept twisting my left ankle while walking around in them. Dunno if the shoe was faulty, or my foot just didn't like this particular shoe, as I don't usually have this problem .... Didn't try another pair though. Returning them cost just about as much as they were worth. Didn't want to risk another 5 litres of fuel. ...
  2. Not quite sure how to take those comments ..... I don't have a "little world". True, I run my life, with the help of those around me. But "little", it isn't. Cozy? I've already written tonight about how much do-do I'm in. [True, all my own doing. :-(] And I'm in so deep I may be less than 2 weeks away from being prosecuted with a serious fine (up to 10's of thousands of pounds) and possible jail time were I suspected of doing seriously wrong. Probably losing my business whatever happens .... My father and his brother [my Uncle] in remission from cancer, and two of their sisters [my Auntie's] with what looks like terminal cancer ..... Cozy? I'm not looking for sympathy here. I'm not the one who is ill! I have a wound on my face that hasn't healed for a year. It's getting so noticable (bleeding) that I'm getting asked "what's up with .... ?" A more recent 'leak' from a tear inside my nose, that hasn't healed properly for nearly two months.... I need to get them checked out... sure. But I have other more immediate demands on my time right now. [Accounts, for example.] ..... Cozy? Sure I like high heels. Sure I like wearing them. But even a priority? I think you mistake my commitment to regular/normal/typical/usual social activity, as being extra-ordinary, rather than ordinary. Do Train enthusiasts talk about a desire to see famous/well known vehicles, then don't? Do followers of bands or other entertainers talk of seeing them perform, and then don't? As a general remark, my life experience has taught me that people with similar interests meet up. Other commitments are arranged so hobbies and life interests can be indulged...... I don't think you have to myopic to visit a gym. I don't think you need to be myopic to go dancing, or visit a pub. I don't think you have to be myopic to think meeting other men interested in wearing heels might be attractive enough to make a couple of hours to actually meet up.... But hey .... why am I discussing what passes for normal behaviour? If members interest in heels is so low/small, why even visit a forum devoted to them? :-) Obviously my enthusiasm isn't appreciated. Probably best if I take some time off. I've got too much trouble to deal with at the moment, to handle what seems like disfavourable comments while I'm trying to stir-up interest in a gathering. [Meaning: I'm probably over-sensitive.] See you in a month. .... .....
  3. I'd agree with cost of travel, and to some degree with scheduling ..... But time? No, gotta draw a line there..... I have my doubts that few employed people wouldn't have the time to find one day in any 12 month period, to meet with others interested in one of their lifes' drivers. Perhaps unpaid carers who have a 24/7 commitment might not have time. Those in prison may not have (literally) the freedom to meet others either. But my life would be pitifully dour if I couldn't find a day for me to indulge, what is after all, a serious life interest. [Actually, I would find it disappointing if I couldn't manage one day a month, never mind one day a year.....] Men with families will argue they have "commitments". Well, we make sure the parents of our grandchild get time for themselves by looking after their son as often as we are allowed. :-( They can have some completely free time to do what they want - unemcumbered - with their usual responsibilities. My personal belief is EVERY parent should have at least one day/evening a month "me" time, be it together or apart. Perhaps there are parents with children who can't be looked after by anyone other than professionally trained personnel? Perhaps single (male) parents with no-one within 50 miles they could or would trust with their family? But these groups are going to be few and far between ... :-) No. I think it's just easier (by some margin) to read the Forum, and maybe wistfully imagine chatting with like-minded people while wearing heels? [Or not wearing heels, if doing it with other people around might embarress.] ...
  4. :-( Or ..... Heel eye-candy? I agree. Wrong connotation, and I suppose the humour/irony would be lost on a serch engine/search robot. Amend away. :-)
  5. I lost the original reply (Cat V disconnect again) ..... The shoes normally go for
  6. Three years ago I registered a couple of business names with Companies House to protect the business I'd started 10 months previously. [My then business partner had just hijacked "our" business from underneath me.] Now some 30 months later, I'd in the do-do for not meeting my statutory commitments. Apparently, this is not unusual, and MANY companies are 'thrown away' for this reason. Late submission is so expensive, it's easier/cheaper to start over ..... I'm busy getting my paperwork up to date. It's even worse than decorating, so not much fun. [On a par with sticking pins in your eyes.] While it would have kept me busy for 20-30 minutes a week if I'd kept it topical, it was a job that could always be done; ma
  7. Membership now passed the 200 mark. Well done us. :-( Still only a half-dozen members posting regularly though ..... :-)
  8. There are 4 mysteries I don't ever expect to see resolved in my lifetime. 1. Mary Celeste <this is the correct spelling for the REAL incident> 2. Area 51 3. Who shot JFK 4. Why Men wearing heels don't socialise with each other very much ... I'd like to attend a NYC for a H4M meet, but getting on for 3,500 miles of water will stop me. :-( That and an acute lack of the funds that might have enabled me to reduce that distance .... :-)
  9. I'm not big on stiletto's in public either. I do wear them, but they're evening use only. [Read: Worn in darkness, while in public.] Any 'story' (experience) written up, should interest other men heelers. Doesn't need to be ground breaking adventures either. Detail of what makes our behaviour appear normal/regular is gonna be useful to anyone thinking of going out for the first time. :-) I can you all, Thighbootguy is largely responsible for me seeing the wearing of heels out in the real world, as a fairly realistic opportunity. Many of his reports involve simple visits to local stores.... Simple stuff, but normal stuff .... :-(
  10. Why not? Not only our 'advertures', but also shoes seen out in the real world? Locations where heel-candy aplenty might be found.... Anything that makes us less virtual, and more real. I'm fairly cynical about my own postings for example. If I didn't know me, I might think I was a bit of a B/Ser, because I seem to pretty much 'have it all'. Oodles of stunning (in my opinion anyway) boots, with a few pairs of wearable attractive shoes too. Someone who'll walk in public with me, and the opportunity to shop in heels. About the only thing I can't/won't do, is socialise with friends or family in them. Not because I wouldn't, but because my wife (understanably) doesn't want that genie out of the bottle. Or Pandora, as she would describe it. :-) Fortunately, I've met a few of the membership here, and at least 4 Mods off HHplace. So not only do I exist, but I've been seen out in heels, a good number of times. :-(
  11. I'm inclined to agree with the remarks made elsewhere. The thread asking "What new forums?" has replies with seemingly no action ..... ? I too have found it hard to decide where to post sometimes, so pretty much keep to the chit-chat forum. I've got some shoes and boots to sell. I'd like to put them up here before they go on sale elsewhere if they remain unsold, but where should I offer them? I'm not expecting to be able to sell them here, but I'd still like to offer 'first-refusal' to H4M members anyway. And unlike selling to complete strangers on the well known auction site, I would be happy to take returns from fellow members. :-)
  12. Not filth, but shoes that you might look at and think; "Jeez, they're hot!" My current fav is >> 1969 Italia Boutique << which seems to be an Internet only shop. Not that it matters, the shoes and boots are waaay out of my reach. :-) Jessica Simpson does a nice line in heels, though only available in the US at present.... I have some of her boots, and if I could get hold of them more easily, I'd own another two styles. ;) And if looking for something a little less fashionable/wearable, I'll go over to Banana Shoes. (Maybe not the least expensive, but they hold a lot of stock, and the service is very good.) If I'm looking for certain style, they are sure to have it for me to look at. :-( Links anyone? [url=http://stores.shop.ebay.com/1969-Italia-Boutique__W0QQ_armrsZ1]
  13. Membership now up to 189 (at time of writing). I'm REALLY pleased at the growing number, but d'you know what, I can't for the life of me understand why people join and then don't post? :-) What could any new member say, that wouldn't be of interest? :-(
  14. Hello there. How's things? Been getting out much? :-) I have to admit, I've been getting a bit slack lately..... :-( Was given the opportunity to go out shopping with heels on last Friday, by herself. [Yep, she suggested it as a way to 'lighten' my mood.] Sadly, impending serious trouble with Companies House (all my own doing ~ or not doing I should say) is getting the better of me. Just sent a PM by the way.
  15. I'll try to PM you a link ..... [Now where's my glasses? :-)]
  16. Do I detect a note of cynicism here? :-( The new listing seems to be working. Had some contact from a person in the Netherlands asking about international postage. :-)
  17. I've noticed the hieght thing too. Good, innit? Think shyguy got to enjoy a similar experience with some boots he bought off Ebay a short while ago. (From Garage Shoes originally, though these would have been nearly
  18. Item now listed again. (NOT re-listed using old advert). Rather oddly, I got a system remark; "Thanks for putting up your first **** listing." Odd, because I thought it was my second? Internet selling company Technical Support was worthless. 3 emails sent, one directly to the guy in charge of Searches. And the final outcome? "Sorry it took so long, but as the listing is now closed, we can't help." Anyway, the new ad can be found with a regular search. :-) So whatever I did wrong first time around, I didn't make the same mistake(s) again. 1 pair listed, only about 20 to go .... :-( ....
  19. Great! :-) So the only person who saw the listing, would have been me! Gonna be re-listing them sometime later today. I'll try putting less information in the "index" fields...... Initial response from the discussion forum .... Put anything pertinent in the title. The other fields (size, colour, shoe type) are unreliable at best. :-(
  20. Well ...... The listing ended today. "18 views" and no bids. And if the counter includes me looking, that "18" figure could all be me? :-). Free listings tomorrow, (25th June) so maybe I'll try again..... Heard nothing back from Ebay, so left a query in the Discussion Forum. :-(
  21. I've not noticed a price difference between Internet and shop prices with Priceless. I have noticed the shop labelling is behind the Internet pricing, right up until you get to the till .... :-) I'll try to visit one of the shops this week. I get as much time as I like to browse..... Herself is a bit 'precious' about shoe shops. Historically, if the shop didn't sell Faith, Carvela, or KG, then she wouldn't even try them on. It's only been about 3 months since I managed to get her to try some Aldo shoes for fit. I didn't do too badly, as she left with 2 pairs. [Well, two pairs for her..... And one pair for me! ] If I remember >> mine have a 4 1/2" heel << hers both with 4" heels. :-( There's a lot to be said for the Camden Outlet store.
  22. I noticed recently the Member list seemed to be cut? Maybe some spammers got culled ..... The list is growing though. Sadly, the list of posters isn't.... :-( C'mon boys .... show us your shoes? How much and from where? :-)
  23. Oh dear. Doesn't bode well at all. Spammers are bad enough. But people in our own group purposely provoking the Mods?
  24. I did wonder about those ..... And I'm not trying to defend the breach or offer an excuse (the original deletion should have been understood after all), but for some reason PM's aren't advised by either pop-up (or email IIRC)? I sent a PM to a fellow member here, and it was missed for almost a month. His reply to me was missed for a couple of days for the same reason? Just a word to the wise .... (Guv'nor)
  25. Well spotted that man! Here in the UK we have a well known company called Payless DIY >> homepage << who had a trading history that would have taken precident over the US company with the same name if they tried to set up a business here. Barratts did or does own Priceless here. Not sure how that all works out regarding Payless in the US?? Priceless recently went into Administration, and many of the shops in the chain closed. Fortunately for me, there's a branch not too far away I have access to. In fact, it was a pair of their boots that got me back into wearing heels Jan 2008. I put them on, and practically kept them on for 2 weeks solid. I'd worn them out in another couple of weeks ..... Fortunately I'd had the foresight to get another pair during that period, which set the routine for my subsequent buying style. I have very few 'singles', and at least one style I've 5 identical pairs. Fortunately, I've made a point of NOT counting the cost of my shoe habit. Must be well over
