  1. I'm sorry that I'm going to appear a little stupid (which isn't that unusual), and I hope I don't offend, but I don't understand this comment? If your wife had only ever seen you wearing heels, this comment would make sense. Is that the case? Without further background to the original remark, asking a man if he wears mens clothes/attire, ought to be obvious by just looking at him? [i accept that I have a rather simple view of the question, but I haven't fully grasped the context yet, hence my needing help. ] All that aside .... I'd say your wife seems to have completely accepted the 'alternate' you, (or the real you as the rest of us here would understand it?) I'd say you were a lucky man to have found such a partner. I've had contact with a number of other men heel wearers, who are not as fortunate. Like you I'm inside a relationship where my (few) pleasures in life are understood, but are not shared with the rest of the family. I'm happy with the compromise though. I pretty much get what I want, without the complication of criticism or negative response from anyone I can't choose to ignore..... ....
  2. Too high? Get a grip man. :-D How is 'too high' even possible? :-D Sounds like a result. Good for you.
  3. Would you know if these are still available at all? I had my heart set on some 5" dress boots, but read somewhere the maker was no longer in business having gotten employment elsewhere? ....
  4. Hi Bootking, Bootshare? I think I was a member there (and I thought it closed), but most of my previous posting was done at HHplace.org before I fell foul of someone baiting me? [i got banned for calling someone a thug.] I'm hoping that this site, although owned by the same people, will get busy enough to attract some of the others over from HHplace. I miss posting there, and reading comments from other like minded people. If I can't post there, I won't visit either. [Too frustrating.] VERY nice to hear from you though. Best regards, Freddy.

  5. Yepppp! Given the style range, and prices, you fellas in America are spoilt for choice. :-D  Probably just as well I have restricted access. The costs of International Shipping hasn't stopped me acquiring perhaps 10 pairs of boots only (usually) offered to the domestic market in the US. The exchange rate changes due to the UK
  6. Nothing worth having comes easy. .....
  7. Ahemm ....... 'Has there been a delivery?' :-D
  8. The 60's were a time of youth testing their new freedoms, borne of financial and moral independance. By the time the 70's had arrived, free thinking and free 'doing' was almost taken for granted. There had never been a time like it (for the general populace) nor will there be such a time again. Given the French President wearing slightly thicker heels made front page news around the world not long ago, I'd suggest the pendulum is still swinging the wrong way. ....
  9. Welcome. It's quite rewarding to see the membership here has now topped 100, and a reasonable percentage of that number are recent joiners. Possibly the site has turned a corner. Or maybe seen one to turn at leastways. :-D ...
  10. I was of course, referring to White Van Man. But I do get into London some Thursday/Friday evenings to enjoy the lack of congestion charge and late night shopping/browsing. I also visit some Sundays, too, for the same reason. Today would have seen me at Wood Green for Aldo Outlet (for a boot I saw there 6 weeks ago) and Select (for
  11. I see you most days. I had no idea you were wearing heels when you left the van though?
  12. Someone I work with from time to time, was requested by myself recently, (while at work), if she would ask one of our customers where the customer had bought her shoes. My colleagues immediate response was "You want a pair then?" before going off to enquire. I had thought that perhaps I was more transparent than I believed until last weekend, when I found out my colleague used to help run a lap-dancing club (in her younger days ). Maybe there's something 'about me' she recognises? There's been no confession from me yet ..... but I've no inclination to lie. If I ever get asked, I'll report back here. ...
  13. You didn't park in the Multi-Storey car park, right next door to the pub? I too found the posts on the various sites useful and encouraging. Without them, I doubt I would be as adventurous as I am. I try to encourage others to 'join in', but have had limited success. Whereas I don't usually experience the concept of shyness, others must have a much better understanding of the handicap...... sadly. Since I travel around a fair bit, I find myself located somewhere people don't know me fairly frequently. As a general remark, I'm not too bothered these days by being 'made', but people laughing is likely to be a bit hurtful. Fortunately, shock has quite a numbing effect on spectators, so as long as I'm moving there's precious little time for people to comment. 5 posts in, you must be on the Members List now? Welcome!
  14. I went to the heel meet in 2008, and enjoyed the experience. Had a number of meets with other men heel wearers through 2008, but have been out in public more with girls, than I have done with other fellas. While I tend to be indifferent to what anyone else in the world wears provided it's in good taste, I doubt I would be comfortable walking around in public with 15-20 other men wearing high heels. While (discreetly) wearing heels with another couple of men doing the same seems attractive, being part of what might appear to be a protest group, does not. I own a ridiculous amount of black ankle or calf length boots with heels 4-5 inches high. There are few pairs I don't expect to wear outside eventually. My problem is making the time .... ....
  15. Any news? Went to Westfield again tonight. Wore my HD boots, rather than the 'Garage Shoes' boots. Took advantage of the 2 hour free (car) parking again, so had to get around a bit quickly. Have decided it's not a great place to find attractive shoes for men [meaning larger sizes] at reasonable prices [meaning 'in the sales'.] ...
  16. Welcome. Glad to see the membership increasing, and that some of the new members are inclined to write too.
  17. http://www.garageshoes.co.uk/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=2308 Wore mine the other evening. Wearing 4" heels I pretty much walk normally. I don't know whether it's the other half inch, or the tightness of the ankle on the boot, but I couldn't walk normally in these at all. Wasn't at all unpleasant.
  18. Lucky you! Let us know how you get on with them.
  19. I did wonder. See you at Westfield then? [i do remember it's too close to 'home' BTW.]
  20. London's newest shopping experience. http://uk.westfield.com/london/ I live less than 20 miles from this place, but it's located at a fairly difficult place to get to by car. I would travel there by public transport [rail/undrground] but the 2012 Olympic surcharge on London travel makes an expensive journey extremely unattractive. With a need to make a delivery in South London, I was practically driving past the front door during the evening last Friday, it made sense to stop by while someone else was paying for the journey. I arrived at 8pm, expecting an hours visit as I thought the centre closed at 9, with car parking at
  21. Give in. Word to the wise ... They come up a bit large. If you succumb and they don't fit, let me know. I'm sure we could work something out.
  22. And as if by magic ..... (A heads-up for UK buyers.) Bit of a bargain, inches per pound anyways. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=270367533086 Shame it's not a 7. ....
  23. 2 inches is good. I'm pleased (really pleased) you got to go out in them.
