Hello and welcome.

Caught, almost caught ..... wanna tell?
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heelbucks chit chat Cafe
Was at the part time job this morning. [This is where I have a colleague who regularly <now> sees me in heels and is happy to keep the secret.] This is where I get my daily dose of heel wearing, even if I don't wear them anywhere else. I'm there on my own ..... Front door is locked and shuttered - this is so I know if/when someone else enters the building. Security camera/recording system is switched off. I'm safe. [Thinking about it, I'm not sure I turned that back on? ] Anyway, about 30 minutes into being on-site, a mate who I hadn't talked to for some time rings me. We're on the phone for a good while. I can't move around [the clip-clop sound would be a give-away if I do] so I stand by the rear <glass> door. This is locked but not shuttered, it's away from the street, and there's a counter there anyway. So I'm chatting away on the phone ..... Then, one of the 4 owners suddenly appears at the window! She's parked up around the corner and was dropping off some mail. Seeing the shutter up [down the side of the building] she walked down with the post ..... With me standing there, she motions for me to unlock and open the door, quite understandably. What to do? Caught red-footed!! I couldn't run off, the keys are in front of me on the counter. What could I do? I just walked around and opened the door to take the post. Luckily for me [if anything about this situation could be described as "lucky"], she hasn't time to stop and leaves as quickly as she arrived. No idea if I've been busted, but if I have, I'm sure to find out soon. ..... -
Not me.... Wearing a pair of ASOS 4 1/2" high patent/snakeskin ankle boots most days for at least 90 minutes, and often for more than 2 hours. In fact I noticed today the seam on the front surface has split. Not too unhappy about this. They are shiny, and therefore not very wearable in the street. Just reluctant to throw serviceable shoes. Can do it now with a clear conscience. I need to write up the Cardiff visit..... though not had much enthusiasm to write here recently, because I started to feel like the place had almost become my own personal blog? Edit: Link to piccy of boots added.

Weird? Perhaps contact 'shyguy' [regular contributor and admin member] or site Admin to find out what's not working for you? I'm quite intrigued...... -
Two remarks that indicate "acceptance" surely? Edit: Grammar.

The train journey has ended. I'm not a fan of her musical talent, but no-one should end their life prematurely, tortured soul or otherwise. May she find some peace, wherever she is. ....

Good Luck! Still can't see your piccies? Can you see them in your own profile? My contact up your way has responded to my text message. He's hoping to get back on here soon to reply to the query. Work and family business is keeping him busy at the moment. -

Your profile confirms the 3 pictures added to the Gallery, but I can't see them..... That's either because they need vetting ..... or you have to make 5 posts to qualify for pictures to be published? 1 post to go. I'll try to contact the fella up your way, via another route. -

Any news? -
Little did I know when writing this, the destination would be Cardiff! ..... Well, it is coastal? Now had a couple of weekends with me wearing heels, and frankly, I've succeeded in reminding myself how much I enjoy wearing them. And I've so many great pairs ..... My only regret is ..... I'll just never live long enough to enjoy wearing every pair.

I've asked. Will let you know if the member doesn't contact you directly first. -
Heads up ...... These boots have been reduced even further in price [£26], has have a number of other styles. Might be worth a look? Similar but not same >> for example << a stupidly high heel shoe boot for £13. Obviously, I've ordered a pair. Edit: Extra link added.

As Much As I Don't Need More Footwear .....
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Shoe Critique
The longer story ..... I'd gone into London on the Sunday [free parking] as an excuse to wear heels on a day out with Mrs Freddy. Trawled the usual shops for about 3 hours, including Selfridges. Sadly, the mid season sales produced very little of interest to either of us, but we had a nice time out. Weather was warm, with a light breeze. Had some food in a restaurant, having had to wait 5 minutes to be seated as the West End was so busy. We sat out on a busy street, with my boots on plain view to anyone who cared to look. Think we were there for around 2 hours in all. No rush. Having enyoyed my food too much, I decided we could (and should) have a little walk. The air was still warm, and a long way off being dark. We walked back to the parked car, and I moved it further along Oxford Street to a place just off Regents Street. I changed from my 'regular' Harley boots, to the ALDO Leveres. The change in height was noticeable, despite me having walked at least a mile before dinner, and having had heels on for over 5 hours. Using Google Earth I now know the following round trip along Regents Street, through Leicester Square to Charing Cross Road and back through Soho to the parked car just off Oxford Street, was a walk 1.78 miles long. We did have a coffee and a rather fattening slice of cherry cheesecake at Charing Cross Road, but hey, there's more to life than decorating ...... The walk to the second restaurant was uneventful save two Spanish (looking) women passing us, with one turning back to look at my heels. Sadly, walking through Soho wasn't so uneventful due to the pavements there. At least 3 times my heels dove past regular street level trying to find Australia.... The last time [after which I gave up and started walking along the road], the right heel got well and truly graunched in a particularly sharp hole where tarmac used to be - maybe 30 years ago. The heeling experience was great. Food, and company, great. London paths ...... almost Third World. In all I was out in public for about 8 hours in 2 pairs of boots, always in full public view. Sometimes sitting, with my heels in view of people passing by. The nice part was I didn't feel like I had two heads, and got quite used to walking in heels. [Meaning, it seemed the natural thing to be doing ~ I felt I was dressed 'normally'.] Epilogue: Back home, I thought I was going to be crying when I saw the damage to the heel in good light. 15 minutes with the shoe cleaning/repair gear, and the heel looked quite reasonable again. Yes the heel is marked, [in a couple of places,] but not so you'd notice at usual viewing heights. Sooooo..... I've put the damage down to 'wear and tear' (literally), and passed it on as some of the cost of a great day out. ...... -

One of our members lives in Cumbria. I'm sure he would accept a delivery for you, if that would be of help. He travels a fair bit, so a F2F somewhere close to the Yorkshire border might be possible? If this sounds like it might be a goer, I'll contact him for you? [And point him at this thread perhaps.] .... -
"Last minute" meeting around the UK?
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heelbucks chit chat Cafe
The Cardiff visit was truly brilliant. It was such a good weekend, I'll have to do a write up later in the week. Rated 11 out of 10. -
Latest news ..... ASOS now have these at £20. You'll need to select colour to see the same image as the Debenhams link. Edit: Link added.

It would seem having the larger sizes delivered to you home address would not be a good idea? If that is the case, I'm sure they could be delivered elsewhere, and you collect them? Provided you could travel to an alternate address? Where are you in the world? If this was know, possibly a member here would offer to take delivery for you? Your 'general' location would suffice. England, South East, or Scotland etc. -
"Last minute" meeting around the UK?
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heelbucks chit chat Cafe
This got cancelled at the last minute, but tomorrows visit won't be cancelled. Cardiff .... See you soon. The Freddy's will be there Saturday and Sunday. .... -
When I first got back into heels, I spent a lot of time surfing the net for street-wear heels. One of the styles I found was Jessica Simpson Alpine, but only available to the local US market. Not only unavailable to me, but waaay past my budget too. What seemed like quite some time later, Overstock got some in plus offered them with some discount. They also shipped [taxes paid] to the UK, so I bought a US10 hoping they'd fit. They're a lovely boot, but about half a size big, in keeping with Bob's report. I could wear them with socks, but that isn't ideal..... [Maybe okay in winter?] Around 4 months later still, I got the chance to get the same boot in a US 9 1/2 from an Ebay store in the US that agreed to ship to the UK. [At +US$40/+UK£25 if I recall.] I bought them too. They are a great fit length wise, though still a bit wider than I prefer. I expect they could easily be worn all day, given the room inside and the padded footbed. Needless to say, I've never worn either pair. I will have to put the US10's on Ebay at some stage, as they'll never be worn by me. Think they cost me around £100 delivered too. Nothing ventured ..... .....

As Much As I Don't Need More Footwear .....
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Shoe Critique
Long story short [here anyway], went out in these yesterday, for some of the evening at least. Blooming difficult to walk in, plus I damaged a heel. But as Mrs Freddy pointed out at the time, "Better worn and damaged, than stuck in a box." At the time I struggled to agree, but today I see the wisdom in her remark. Her further comment was that now they have signs of use, they might get out more as I won't be so worried about altering their 'perfect' status. Hopefully that proves to be the case. ... -
I'm not a Crusader for the Cause, so I don't expect every boy/man is a closet HH wearer ..... But, you'd have to be extremely bigoted [iMO] to not be at least curious? And worse, boring, if you weren't intrigued enough to try a pair on at some stage in your life. ....

FWIW, if you had read every previous post, and had to scroll through all the history to get to the most recent one, wouldn't you spend more time scrolling than reading? I'm a member on several other Forums where this sequence is used. On a really long thread [70 to 100+ replies] it's possible to lose the will to live getting to the last comment. This is especially true of older threads. Here there's less traffic [unfortunately] so there are few running threads to keep a hold on. Reading the last post by simply opening up the thread, can be an extremely effective way of minimising 'trawling' time. ....

Hello, and welcome. Being able to wear heels in public, and in some ways possibly with encouragement to do it (for a good cause obviously) ...... But what is 'The Plan' for after the event? The only thing I can come up with .... "Practicing for the next event?" Which would be completely unbelievable ..... Maybe. Good luck, and keep writing.
