As per two previous posts ...... ? Couldn't exit profile without an error message? Just been back into 'Profile' to do the thing I wanted to do originally, with a view to giving a keystroke by keystroke report. However, the originally problematic "Sex" option box which was the one producing the #ERROR# remark, is no longer an option shown? Consequently the error message no longer appears. :-( So as far as I'm concerned, it's now working the way everyone expects it to. ;-) ....

I've been busy with work for a week or two, and trying to get my new home in some sort of order. Means I haven't been out anywhere in heels recently, and I think it's starting to get to me a bit. It would be fair to say, wearing heels is one of the few pleasures I have left. It doesn't make me fat, actually helps to keep me fit[ter]. Apart from the expense of continually acquiring new heels, it's easily the healthiest 'hobby' I've had for a while. What sort of time goes between wearing periods for you other members? I used to wear them every day, until I broke the Mars Bar pair on the new house stairwell. [Mars = Work/rest/play.] I've got lots of pairs, I'm just [stupidly] reluctant to trash a pair wearing them out. So, wear them everyday? Every week? How long would you go before feeling like you're missing a fundamental part of your usual lifestyle? ...

I too think he may not have 'twigged'. I own mens shoes that make more noise than some of my heels. The odd thing is, that he appears to have retraced his steps almost as soon as he'd made them? Maybe he forgot something he'd left behind and went back for it? To be honest, most folk even if they realise what's going on, don't care. That said, I did write up somewhere, that a young couple actually waited for me to come out of the loos at [if I remember] Marks and Sparks, Lakeside. That that was pretty unusual behaviour, and rude off of any scale I'm aware of. If he wolf-whistles next time, you know the game is up. ;-) :-( [Honestly, if he had noticed, I'm SURE he would have given you some indication.] ...

I think I saw the same staff. :-( If you don't already know, Priceless [or what's left of them] are owned by the same people as Barratts. They also do size 9's and can be very inexpensive to purchase from if you catch a particular line going on sale at the right time. Unsurprisingly, larger sizes go first. ;-) They also do postage promotions like the one they have at the moment, a £1-99 delivery charge. I've used the Stores in Wood Green, Reading, and Stevenage. Staff are very helpful, though I've not tried on shoes in the shops as their customer base is typically 14 to 20 year old girls. Not my ideal audience. ....

Yes, these feelings are shared by us, and I expect many more. Tonight while busy getting ready to demonstrate some equipment to a potential customer, I had the urge to be wearing heels. It was not a good time, as I had to move around my home very quickly testing the product, then making adjustments. It just felt like I should be wearing heels even though I was working.... This is unusual, as I don't usually wear heels while at home. I put some heels on, and continued my preparations. We moved recently, and have very few furnishings here, and most rooms are without carpet. My wife suggested the noise of my heels might have the neighbours complaining. This would not be the case, but the heels were loud. I really would have liked to leave my heels on, but the next part of the evening was a 25 mile drive into London in what felt like sub-zero temperatures, to meet a potential customer for the first time. So the heels stayed at home... :-( Successful ventures out in the real world will I'm sure, have all of us wondering just how much further we could have pushed our luck? Conversely, I prefer to hide in a crowd. I am at my most fraught* when walking into a very quiet shop, where the assistant sits alone watching whoever enters the premises. It maybe they are bored, but even genuine offers of help in this situation, are seldom welcome by me. Getting lost in a crowd makes it difficult for anyone to spot peculiar aspects of my clothing. Another great post though, thank you. *P.S. Actually, I'm most fraught [anxious] when walking into a "Gents" [toilet ~ loo] with heels on, and there's maybe only one or two other men there. These places seldom have background noises unless hand-dryers are working, so my heels are quite noticable. Debenhams in Oxford Street is particularly harrowing, and I have to use it every time I visit because the store stays open later than other stores when I visit London. [best to go before you travel homeward, rather than try to find a place on the way back. ;-) ] Outside the Debenhams toilets, is a seating area. Typically men waiting for spouses, or families waiting for 'mum' will sit and chat in the circle of seats that surround the entrance to the Mens and Ladies toilets. These people who are sitting with little obvious entertainment other than people walking past [ie me] have their heads in all but the perfect place for spotting heels. It's a bit like 'running the gauntlet' . Perhaps this should be a H4M Trophy Challenge? Use the Debenhams Oxford Street loos on a busy Saturday afternoon to earn some sort of [bravery] award? .....

Goodo. They look very wearable, and passable despite the 2" heel. They look attractive too, not at all like I was expecting your compromise [if there was one] might be. Ticked boxes all around then? ;-) ...

I would agree it doesn't seem completely forthright and honest, but it's not like anyone is in a position to be offended? I'm not suggesting anyone be recognisable, nor there be anything other than positive comment. Just for the record, none of us have 'copyright' on our faces. The law of the (UK) land says as long as we don't disclose something that could infer, or suggest a damaging situation, we have freedom to do as we wish. An example of what's not deemed permissable, would be a photo of a girl with a low cut top with a comment that would suggest she was of easy virtue. If a person isn't recognisable in an image, no defamatory situation can exist. My point about the CCTV has nothing (or little) to do with the publishing aspect. We all do by consent, walk in front of cameras. We all accept being photographed and video'd as part of everyday life. As an aside, who's to know what these images are used for? Point is, most of us don't care or aren't interested. But you are right, if you consider these an infingement on your personal liberty, then it's likely having your photograph taken - even of your feet - will likely make you unhappy about this. Obviously some care needs to be taken. I don't expect the need to annoy or upset someone because, I like their footwear. ...

Had a walk around on a carpeted floor today. Either I'm getting better wearing these or the heels are sinking further into the carpet. Tesco is currently giving 20% off clothing so these boots are available for £4. Bargain. I bought a pair. A bit wider in the toe department than I prefer, but hey-ho ..... £4! Not leather or PU, so won't last long but .... At £4 they're cheaper than a pair of heel tips fitted! Back on thread..... I visited [with mens shoes on] Barratts in Watford tonight. Two young assistants stared at me while I looked through the womens [sale] shoes. I worked equally hard to ignore them. Chap in ALDO was smiley while I browsed womens shoes there, as was the even younger girl assistant. Due to a faulty till, and a tagged pair of shoes at Tesco, I twice had to converse with a tall chap in Tesco. The second time to get him to remove the tag. Was very happy to help, and again very smiley. ;-) There would have been no doubt in his mind who the shoes were for. Perhaps attitudes to men wearing heels is more local than we think? More to do with [positive] previous exposure to it, by the individuals involved? Edit to add picture link and remark on material used on shoes. ....

I've got a lot of time for the 'invasion' argument/point-of-view. If me and the people who might find their knees and feet posted somewhere in the ether weren't going to be walking, shopping or driving in front of 200 cameras every day, I'd say there was a need to respect the privacy of those who might object. However, the reality is that unless the camera person is a nuisance or pest, there's little to fear from a camera. Nearly everyone with a mobile phone has one, and most younger people use them for much worse than taking photo's of feet. [Even I was shocked at what I've found on laptops I've been asked to fix or recover.] I'd not advocating me or anyone else becoming an unpaid paparazzi. I'm talking about discreet photo's of people standing or moving around in full public view. A great place for this sort of photo, is a wedding. Who the heck is gonna complain about someone taking photo's at a wedding? The "For" argument, rests it case. ;-) ....

I quite looking at heeled shoes. Not for any other reason than it's pleasant to do. Rather like looking at an attractive painting, or attractive person. I see pictures as eye-candy. I could and would do pictures of my wife wearing hers, but she would say she "has better thngs to do" with her time, and she is a bit shy. Maybe I need to do a number of short sessions, to get them all 'in the can'? Certainly it would help her remember what she has, and come to it, help remind me. Maybe when it's warmer and the house doesn't look like a building site? Anyway, the reason for the thread, is a general query to everyone really. Would pictures of heeled shoes be considered a useful thing to have, regardless of them being filled with feet? There is no way I plan to spend any time in front of a camera, and do self-timed piccies of me in heels, not least because no-one could see them under my legwear.[ie. Jeans or trousers.] If I had someone here interested in spending hours going 'click' with the camera, me wearing them might be a possibility, but Mrs Freddy would rather do anything else, so that isn't really a goer. Pictures of my shoes, might be useful as a reference though. [As with everyone elses shoes if they were photographed too.] This pair <picture> bought from <where> at this <price> on this <date>. As an aside, I would be adding information on sizing. X brands sizes come up small X brands come up large, with others doing the same. It would give us all guidance on what size shoes or boots we might be looking to buy. I'm also wondering whether a candid 'street shots' thread might be of interest? I see plenty out, and sometimes take pictures for my own benefit [eye candy], would these be of interest? Certainly these kind of picture would be of interest to me. ;-) Again, this would be a reference guide, with a view to showing us what available, though rather obviously, not where. I don't suppose it would hurt the traffic count either, if pictures were added from time to time. Thoughts? ....

What shoe size are you? We have similar styles here in sizes up to UK 9 from High Street shops. I have a brother [and family] in NZ. Shipping stuff out doesn't seem to be a problem, though anything heavy can be a tad expensive. If there's something here in the UK we could help you with .... ....

Very much appreciated. :-( You will read here [and elsewhere] that the line between obsession of heels [that can become a barrier to a successful relationship] and mutual pleasure in a shared interest, can be a difficult thing to recognise. My wife understands I have an interest that was ignored for (possibly) more than 20 years. I'm currently over-compensating, and my interest is sometimes a little too strong for her. I try hard to recognise in myself, when urges get overwhelming. These tend to be after short periods [7 to 10 days] without wearing heels. It's not that I have to wear heels, but it begins to feel like I make a sacrifice for no good reason if I don't wear them? With children aged 3 and 5 I'm surprised you two have the energy to stay awake at the end of the day, much less spend it in heels. ;-) Though I can fully understand the need to wear heels that takes you out to the early hours of the morning for walks. How much easier would your life be, how much easier would it be for us all, if we could wear heels any time we felt inclined? I certainly would have fewer pairs, and would have made significantly fewer purchasing mistakes. [Mostly through sizing problems.] Please keep us up-to-date on your walking adventures, and how your relationship works with your interest. We are all, very very interested. ....

Great news you are able to walk out in heels, and you have a buddy you meet up with. Are larger shoe sizes in womens styles easy to get hold of in NZ or do they have to be ordered in from abroad? ....

Hello and welcome, HighHeeler from Germany. I would say your story (your past) experiences and feelings will be very similar to many people who visit here. The first heels I tried on were also my mothers. Walking around quiet streets in heels at night is far from ideal, nor is walking in desolate places where you have (hopefully) little chance of being discovered, but it does seems fairly common for many. Although I will go out in public wearing heels now, when I got back into wearing heels, I spent months walking around at night getting used to wearing them again. Sometimes it was quite exciting, almost getting caught. Other times it was very difficult because I was alone in unattractive places. It was a very caring gesture that your wife bought you some high heeled boots. It must have been pleasurable to see your wife in heels too? I am wondering why this enthusiasm by you both does not seem to be shared any longer? Are there not Clubs in Germany, that you and your wife could visit together wearing high heeled boots? From the internet I get the impression that in your country, this is a fairly popular pastime for people with a certain taste, maybe living near some of the larger cities? Did you? Thought I was going to Northampton [via M1] on Wednesday hoping to collect them either from yourself, or the shop on the way through, if they would keep them. Got a phone call from the builder today, wants to come Wednesday - for the whole day! So at the moment, I'll be on baby-sitting duties instead. "Best laid plans.... " ....

New Look has in the past been a great source of footwear for me too. Though some time since I've had the nerve to try on shoes 'in store', I'm obviously impressed with your confidence, as I'm sure others are too. Got yourself some bargains, and one at £3 will take some beating. .....

Took the pair of Chupka with duff heels back to Brent Cross ALDO and swapped them out for another pair. It transpires these were good ones, so I may now have a pair I can keep. Once home I spent some time with the pair of Levere on my feet, but this time wearing socks rather than hose. [socks = less 'slippery'.] My feet seemed to fit better, and these boots are surprisingly comfortable. Expensive at £45 against a budget I don't have, but come with a very passable toe shape to them. I'm very tempted to hang on to them too. Beginning to look like I might be keeping two pairs. Do I seem like someone with any willpower? Reason for edit; typos and grammar. ....
