  1. I know. Saying nice things about nice people. How terribly unfashionable.
  2. Hey... Steady.... :-) I'll have you know I was up an hour earlier today, to get there at all! T'was a bit rushed, with MK significantly busier than I expected. Is always worth meeting up though. I think it useful to meet people F-2-F so you can get the measure of them, and I'd not met vee6 before. He's a charming fellow, isn't he? :-P [You're not so bad either. :-)] ...
  3. BHS is quite central? :-P I'll be there for 9.30 - 10.00 depending on traffic. :-)
  4. I've a girlfriend who I've known for about 10 years. I haven't seen much of here over the last 3-4 years, because she's been a bit loved up with a fella. She's South American, and unusually, so is her fella. I mention that, because usually she's got an English partner..... She knows a bit about my (ancient) past, and in keeping with that, invited me to an alternative Miss World about 5 years ago. We went, and we both had a nice time, with me in awe of just how attractive a man dressed a women could be. :-) (Very passable!) Last night, I saw her for the first time in what might be a couple of years. We've talked from time to time during that period, and two or three times I've tried to meet her in London around her work place. [As in, me meeting her from work.] It hadn't happened, so I thought that while she was 'okay' talking about me wearing heels, maybe she wasn't as keen as I thought she might be? Anyway, when I visited her at her flat (apartment) last night, I asked about it. Seems she wasn't at all bothered, and thought the reason we hadn't met up recently was because I always seemed to be busy? She asked me what size shoe I took. I replied an 8 or large seven. I asked why, and she replied it would have been nice if I had the same size shoe as her. :-)! And with that, she went to a cupboard, and got out some Jessica Simpson platform shoes. Now, I remembered she takes a very wide 5, so I wasn't expecting these to fit. They didn't, but I got them on my feet, and stood up. I walked a couple of paces around the room, and off she went for her camera. Laughing, I might add. By the time camera and owner returned, I was sitting, and had one shoe off. I wiggled my toes, and showed off my slim feet. When I put the shoe back on, she took a picture of the shoes with my feet in them. At this point, I nearly got 'caught' by her son walking past the lounge doorway, but fortunately he didn't stop to look at what we were doing. At 19, he's old enough to make up his own mind, and hopefully ignore me anyway. Against my better judgement, I let her do one more piccy, with my hands obscuring my face (vogueing). She laughed all the time :-P I've no worries about finding these images anywhere.... Acute lack of experience/knowledge of how to do it, being my main insurance policy. Shoes came off, and we carried on talking ~ as normal. I think we might be meeting again later in the week, or at the weekend. I've promised to be wearing heels. I'll almost guarantee, she'll want to try mine. Bless her! ....
  5. Getting there for 9.30am might be a bit of a stretch, but if that's definitely happening, I'll travel there too. :-P
  6. It would be considered small here in the UK. If I had size 6, I'd have been able to wear the shoes/boots of just about every girlfriend I've ever had. I would have been very pleased. I hope you are too! Welcome to the site. :-P ...
  7. Ahhhhh. :-) That explains that then..... Thank you. :-P Very well put. ....
  8. Any chance of some movement on the answer to the query? :-P 1800 people regularly posting on HHp? Seems unlikely. :-) Regardless, people become members here for a reason, and every member is an opportunity. [A contribution opportunity.] On another Forum where I'm a member, there are 13,000 members worldwide. [One of the most active forums on the planet.] But there's probably fewer than 300 regular posters.... This place could never be as busy as HHp. Either forum has a predominently male membership. The HHp if fairly diverse compared to HH4M, even so, it's a niche interest group. With interest in shoes/heels even amongst men being small a fraction of the whole populace ..... We could be talking about a hundredth, a thousandth, a hundred thousandth of a percentage of the populace? Bulletin Board Forum membership for any interest group is going to be a small percentage of the whole group. Already you could be talking of a thousandth of a thousandth percent of the whole UK/US population. No surprise then that across the English speaking world, HHp has managed to get less than 'active' 2000 members.... Reduce the interest opportunity even further, by allowing only discussion on men wearing heels, 3 or 400 members becomes a big number. From the little feedback we get here and from the experiences I've heard elsewhere, I'm not at all surprised members here feel disinclined to discuss their personal life or interests in what could become a public place, if they got careless or who were subject to hacking. More likely though, those used to hiding their interest, just carry on hiding ..... :-) .....
  9. SHYGUY! :-) Lives near Reading? The place that's seen me at least 5 times in the last 2 months? :-P I won't be using public transport to go anywhere. Getting to Westfield, even during the day, is quicker for me by car. 2 hours free parking continues until Christmas I think.... I doubt I'll want to travel into the West End from there during the day by car, and paying
  10. Bit of query I'm sure everyone is wondering about ..... The membership is growing, I think. I've noticed a pattern of growth, then reduction. For example; there looked to be 420 members the last time I looked, but today; 375. That's quite a drop. Is it possible to indicate why so many new members are removed? I'm sure they need to be (or it wouldn't be done) but it's quite an enigma. :-P
  11. I think there's been some confusion .... Shyguy can make MK during Thursday am, and I've confirmed I can make it there too .... if you two are looking for coffee, chat, walk. Heels, wants to meet at Westfield, (I think) outside of working hours. I've confirmed I'm up for something along the same line, though the only interest Westfield has for me, is food. :-P I'd prefer a London meet (if I had a choice) in/around/along Oxford Street during the evening. More 'big-store' choice, and they are open later, especially during December. ......
  12. There isn't anywhere in London, that isn't closer to me than MK. I'm up Oxford Street most weeks, and even visit Westfield (under duress) from time-to-time. Euchrid has been to London too a couple of times. When don't you try to organise a meet with 3 or 4 of us somewhere in London? Time's getting short before Christmas, but the stores are staying open late already, maybe working up to a shopping fenzy expected mid-to-late December. :-P For example, although House of Fraser was open to 10pm last Thursday, Debenhams were still open later.... ....
  13. Good luck with the Group, Tyler. :-P It'll be interesting to see which of the three 'orientation' sectors participate the most in the Group..... :-)
  14. Westfield is an attractive place, but I don't imagine I'll be spending much time/money there. I'm just not that impressed with the shops. I quite like to eat at the 'street' restaurants though. It's almost like being at a cafe somewhere warm, watching people stroll past? If I remember, vee6 can make Thursday too? It's a bit more than an hours drive for me, so hardly 'around te corner' but if the three of us can arrange something, I'm up for it? .....
  15. Not sure HH is worth a visit. True they have a Primark, but the one at Watford is significantly more useful, and it has a better range of other shops there too. The only other store of note at HH, is the HUGE New Look that's mostly useful during sale times. :-P Don't forget Brent Cross. Bottom of the M1, a wide range of fashion and shoe shops (no Primark), and plenty of places for a bit of R+R. MK has it all. Not that I'm a fan, as the layout means you need personal transport to get from John Lewis to Debenhams - some 2 miles between. :-) [Just seems like it when you're wearing heels!] ....
  16. A phone call and an hour later, I ended up at the 'Out of hours' surgery. An hour later still, I got a prescription for the very product I'd gone to the pharmacy for earlier. A futher hour later, I'd bought the same product across the counter for
  17. For the most part, I agree. I do have some boots with stiletto heels, (as advised elsewhere) some too with thinner heels that aren't quite stiletto. I bought them all with a view to wearing, but at appropriate times. These times would include periods where I can wear them discreetly, without drawing too much attention to myself. I never plan to show off the heels, and typically my trouser length is pretty much the same as that shown in vee6 avatar. If I could have bought the same styles with a block or cuban heel, I would have. But over a short period of time, choices are few. ....
  18. Now, 408 members! This total figure often shrinks (mentioned before) but it shows new membership continues to climb. P.S. Looking back, that's a 100 new members in not much more than 5 weeks. ...
  19. Latest news ..... No prospect of a photo ... yet. But apparently she got married in 5" heels ~ which she still wears. Could be a wind-up, but I know loads about her, so I think this is genuine. If it isn't, it's a reaaaaally good wind-up. ...
  20. Will have to confirm. At the momet I think I've got a 'sty', but when I visited the pharmacist tonight, she wasn't so sure. I've had shingles on my face before, and the only thing that concerned the doctors then, was it getting to my eye. Too late to see a doctor at my local surgery, the NHS 'drop in centre' was too busy .... I've got a phonecall to make [NHS Helpline], then the only solution is visiting A+E at the local hospital. Originally I thought 'bit of ointment' on my lower lid, and I'd be away and happy. ....
  21. These looks promising ..... >> here << but outa my price range, given the heel height. [Too much money for such a low heel.]
  22. Outside Waitrose, 2 hours free. Outside John Lewis (all 8 spaces ) free all day. I'd like to meet up. Got a minor problem in that I may have an infection of some sort around my right eye that seems to be getting worse. If that clears up .... I'll find a way to get there too. ...
  23. Most of the folk here are a bit shy. I haven't knowingly been to Windsor. Is there somewhere in town that doesn't have cobbles? MK is doable. Stratford-upn-Avon might also be doable, as I need to get myself up there sooner or later (for work). Another place full of cobbled streets though? ....
  24. I'd certainly like the option of wearing knee boots. Thing is, my calves at their thickest point are still under 14". In fact the top of the boots need to be 13" at the top, to prevent them falling down my leg. I haven't found a pair in my budget range, tha come anything close to being fitted. To me, all knee boots are 'slouch' boots. ...
