Strictly 2015 .... Coming soon!

Not posted any pictures for a couple of years .... I did lots of screen shots from Autumn 2013, then forgot to post them.

But things looking good for 2015 .... Contestant No.4 announced today, Georgia May Foote. A very pretty child actress who managed several years employment in the worlds longest running soap opera, Coronation Street. As she is fairly petite, she is usually seen in very high heels, though often with a platform...

Footwear for the big reveal this morning:

Every year the BBC makes it harder for me to get screen shots, but I've managed a couple anyway.

I'd love to see an image of Janette Manrara standing, while wearing the very high waisted leather pencil skirt and 5+ inch heels she has on while being interviewed - to get the full effect of her outfit .....

Given her past, I suspect Darcy could wear 'ballet boots', and beat any heel height worn by anyone else. ;)

Sadly, I haven't seen any images of her wearing ridiculously high heels. Probably just as well, since she's just about the most perfect woman already. Seeing her in very high heels could push me over the edge, and into becoming a stalker. :D

Don’t know who he is, some comedian, I think, his name’s Brian, but one of the male contestants tonight is definitely wearing heels.

I'll have a look tomorrow, and see if I can go a screen grab if that proves to be the case. ;)

I think the programme's producers are on to me. Fridays views of heels were through the heads of the audience ...

I believe it is the norm on Strictly for the men to wear such modest Cuban heels during any of the Latin dances.   Not exactly nosebleed-inducing!

Although I am a dancer and have similar heels, I've never tried dancing in them but I can see that they would be of some help with the men's footwork and stance.   I understand that the women are not allowed to wear heels higher than 3.5" as anything higher is considered hazardous (!) - a rule that more than one contestant has challenged in the past.

I suppose the cuban heels are a start. At least it's some sort of heel to get people used to them. Awesome pictures of heels here, though. It makes me jealous that they can wear them regularly!

True about the men's Cuban heels, which are traditional for Latin dances.   Indeed, the 'Beatle boot' (of happy memory) was derived from a flamenco dancer's boot but with a more pointed toe.   I have two pairs of these Madcap zip-sided boots, with 2.7" heel and neat centre-seam on the pointed toe, the tan leather (as shown) and black suede :      Casbah MADCAP ENGLAND Mod Cuban Tan Chelsea Boots

They are good to wear, although I've not (yet) tried dancing in them.   My wife doesn't like them - she thinks the heels are effeminate (not so) and that I don't need to be taller (true) whilst the pointed toes are 'old fashioned' (nonsense!).

They look great! Personally I wouldn't want the toes so long and pointed but that's just a matter of personal taste. One advantage with long toes is that the foot still appears a man-size length even if the heels are high. One of the most noticeable things with me must be my tiny feet in heels! I have a pair of cowboy boots with block heels about 3.75 inches and long pointed toes but I have to say they're not my favourite pair.
