  1. I enjoyed his postings but wish we could see some pictures to verify the words. I was a little surprised he didn't go to HHPlace, though. The thing that I have seen on HHPlace is a tendency for more public heel wearing guys like Thighbootguy, HappyFeat, JeffB, and now tallguyinheels to start wearing skirts. I have no desire to go in that direction, and it would seem that would keep them off of Heels4Men?

    Karo Wedges

I bought the Karo Wedges from Beverly Heels.
  3. But you guys obviously wear shoe sizes that are available almost everywhere, and in fashion styles. Not so with me - a US men's 11 to 12. No high fashion shoes go that large. But I wear mostly sandals anyway. Choices are very limited and I have found that Ellie and Karo shoes fit me the best. I have too many, anyway, to wear consistently. Trying to find attractive boots is particularly difficult in large sizes.
  4. Hello to you, too, What's ridiculous? Different, yes, and so much out of what society and ourselves are used to, yes. Not necessarily ridiculous, depending. I may be ridiculous, as I like the sexy, stiletto or high wedge styles most of the time, but I still like the way they look and feel. Some guys carry them off well, in my opinion, especially when they are neat and nicely attired whether it be suits or just nice jeans. It helps greatly to be physically slim and fit, which I wish I was better at, but I keep trying. I know there are girls/women that tolerate heels on you, like them on you, dislike them on you, understand your desire, or just don't care. I have experienced all of these. But there are lots and lots of guys who wear them and, if those large numbers of us who have found HH Place and Heels4Men are here, imagine how many others have not come out of the closet!
  5. I would take the Lip 109s over the Seduce 208s because the Lips platform, though small, has some padding where the Seduce does not.
  6. 5 miles is long in any shoes, but especially those. Congrats. I would have been afraid of turning an ankle.

    Karo Wedges

I wore the Karo wedges to the nail salon today for a pedicure. Hardly anyone there when I got there at 8:30AM, so no one saw them except my salon girl. She said "Let me see your shoes." I was wearing long jeans. She thought they were very high and said just looking at them made her legs hurt. She is a tall blonde who I traveled with last year before she got married, and never wears any sort of heels, saying she can't because her legs hurt. She won't try to get used to them. I got Chanel "Matador" polish, a dark metallic red. I wear 2 in. wedge thongs afterward because you can use them with toe separators.
  8. I like their comment: Heel Height: Very High !
  9. I agree with euchrid about the granny look - like my grandmother used to wear (but without a heel like that). Almost like a men's style but with a slender high heel. The lace-up front contributes to the granny look. The second post ones are much nicer, and the boots much more modern and rugged looking.
  10. Take care of the medical stuff, Fast Freddy. Don't put it off. I speak from experience of not having done that. If it doesn't heal by itself, go have them take a look at it.
  11. These are the shoes by Gabriella Rocha I wear to the salon for pedicures. The girls there like them and show their own heels. They are not as generously sized as the Karos, so the straps are a little tight.

    Karo Wedges

I have bought some Karo 925 wedges. which are very comfortable and, importantly for me, come in large sizes up to USW 14. I take a 13. They are advertised as a 4.5 in. heel - in my size they are 5.5 inches at the back with a 1 inch platform, so have a 4.5 in. rise. I like the height which is hard to find in a wedge without much platform. They are generously sized with a wide sole, so fit well and are very stable. Fairly expensive, I paid around $135. They will get lots of use.
  13. Way out of reach? I see prices of 3 Euros/$4 on some of them! If you wear 40 or 41 sizes. Shipping is 10 times that. Am I reading it wrong?
  14. Need more forums with subjects to induce posting. See my message under What New Forums?
  15. Yeah, I found it. Don't know why I didn't see it before. On the subject of forums, the ones here are pretty limited compared to HHPlace. I wanted to post a message on going out to the salon in new heels, with a picture, but couldn't find a good place for it here, so I put it on HHPlace. Should we have one for pictures and/or one for adventures? Those seem to be pretty popular over there, such as Thighbootguy and Happy Feat, though they are getting into female clothing quite a bit. That's not a direction that appeals to me, personally.
  16. What about adventures out while wearing heels? That's pretty popular on HH Place, but there's nothing like it here. And I don't see the "New Thread" icon on the ones that are here.
  17. Welcome to the site! If nobody knows, you must wear indoors only?
  18. My wife (lost her 7 3/4 years ago) and one girl friend since had no problem with the heels, and were fine if I wanted to wear them out to wherever, but did not want to participate in gatherings or meetings of people for the purposes of high heels. Not much in the way of girl friends now, unfortunately. One young one I see every week or so has no idea and would probably not be favorably impressed. Her standard mode of dress seems to be jeans and a tank top, with running shoes (trainers) most of the time. She wears no makeup except mascara and eye shadow for formal events, and no heels except for dance shoes (about 3 in. max maybe).
  19. If you can make 5 miles in 7.5" heels, good luck. I would not even try it. In fact, 5 miles in any heels would be an accomplishment. Even flats for many people!
  20. I haven't dreamed about wearing heels since I started wearing them (around home). It was a lot easier walking in them (effortless) in the dreams than in real life, especially since I started with 6"+ platform stilettos. No more, though, as I have abandoned the platforms. But, I am not a fan of walking in the dark, as you don't know what the surface in like, whether there are rocks, etc. My neighborhood has no sidewalks or lights, so it is very dark at night, but there are sometimes other people out walking, and cars drive by at times. Most of my shoes are 5" stiletto slides which aren't easy to hide. The one time I did it was Halloween a few years ago, and I turned an ankle after walking with a girl for a half mile or so on not very even stone sidewalks.
  21. All the action is at HH Place. It's hard to change that.

    New Heels

Personally I like sheer black, next to none at all.
  23. This comic strip has been brought up on HH Place. I think it is worth looking at, as they have run at least a week's worth of cartoons about men wearing "6 inch heels". http://comics.com/9_chickweed_lane/
  24. HFMROK: But what is it when the females wear men's clothing? Pants, shirts, suits, flat shoes, tuxes? Certainly not a bedroom thing then? Seems sort of one-sided.
  25. The key is "would really wear." I would like to wear Ellie or Shoes USA slides with about a 5.5" heel, barefoot, but that is a little radical for public wear as much as I would like it. The other problem is turning an ankle due to being nervous, fatigue, uneven surfaces, etc. I guess I would really wear Cloudwalker wedge loafers with about a 3.5 in high wedge, which I have.
