I started a thread regarding the BBC TV programme Strictly Come Dancing, It Takes Two, and the amazing shoes the girls wear on the show. Not least because the two hosts [the original presenter is now staying home to look after a new baby] both seem to have a thing for very high heels! And I guess the other girls guests like to compete for the highest (and maybe most expensive). I far from expected to ever be adding a supplement to the thread - on Man Heels. I don't expect there's going to be any competition on this particular theme, but we can wish ....... The programme is available on BBC iPlayer for only another day I think, and I also know some of our American friends can't watch the show anyway, so I've taken a screen bite care of a video screen grabber. Not how I'd summarise them sir. 1 x 'event' that shocked ...... [momentarily], with possibly some celeb' gossip as an epilogue. 1 x afternoon that came quite close to being a complete disaster ...... But entertaining ...... yes. ....

Out shopping in >> these << for a while today. In summary, I'd say I got 'spotted' in just a couple of hours, by around the same number of people who have 'spotted' me wearing heels, during the whole previous 4 years I've been wearing them out (this time around.) That's 4 years less about 5 weeks . . . . . . Worst situation was being followed by four 18~20 year old youths, not only along the Mall, but into and through a store. Maybe not quite as horrendous as it sounds..... No heckling, no abuse ..... But they all knew, and because I kept looking at them looking at me, they knew that I knew they knew. [] Made me feel a tad uncomfortable ...... but I live to tell the story. I've often said I'm not nor would be a martyr to the cause, but it felt otherwise around 6pm today ...... Still, life's too short for a little time feeling uncomfortable, to be a stopper to this activity. ......

Brief visit to Lakeside, followed by longer visit to Bluewater. Hopefully, report for this and Saturdays adventure coming soon. Lots to tell.

Well......... Bought a new camera today ..... ..... but no fast lens. [20mm f1.7 out of stock. ]

It was a night so unusual, it was surreal. In fact if I didn't have herself with me, I might doubt it actually happened. Most of it was over in seconds, but it's had an effect. [All pleasant BTW.]

Christmas [they tell me] is less than six weeks away .......... [bar-humbug. ] Learner? [Over here Leaner writers drivers have to have a large red "L" on a white square displayed .... whilst writing ... oops ... whilst driving. ] The last link takes us to some very 'on trend' shoes. Over here they are referred to as 'military' style boots. .....

Went to the West End Saturday 12th of November. Last time the Freddy's went there, my "instant on" Fuji camera performed so badly, [in what was practically unlit streets], I left the blooming thing at home. Big, BIG mistake. More detail, ASAP.

Left later than planned [as usual] though this time it wasn't my fault there was no hot water left for bathing. Skipped Brent Cross, and went straight to the West End. Had one of the most amazing nights of my life. Full report, ASAP.

So far I've only had expensive help from a "mate" who didn't carry out work to the standard I think I should expect...... Consequently, since I'm not a builder, La Maison De Freddy hasn't progressed much. I'm slow and frighteningly meticulous, plus easily distracted. Had a general builder in today, with a view to help. About my age, and seems to have a mild sense of humour [vast improvement on being humourless?] There's a budget for help, but finding quality help isn't as easy as you might think .... Less (re)building time = more heeling time.

Looks like I might be giving myself some time off for good behaviour ....... Saturday 12th ..... Brent Cross late afternoon, followed by West End and food out somewhere [inexpensive]. Wednesday 16th .... Brief visit to Lakeside followed by afternoon and evening at Bluewater. Other than fuel, and refreshments, I'm not expecting to spend money. Don't favour any footwear designs under £400 at the moment and that's about 8 times my normal maximum budget for any footwear going on my feet. Mrs Freddy has been know to spend £150 on a pair .... but is trying to save money at the moment. Either trip is time out for me to wear heels, away from anyone I know, and that's about it. .....
