  1. I have never made a secret of the fact I've (almost) always worn girls jeans, even to the most critical people I know, and I've known some real spiteful ones.... Not once do I remember getting getting remarks about it. Even when mentioned to girlfriends .... "So?" I'm not sure if you are being over cautious? Especially since there's been indications you've been busted by your daughter? That aside, sounds like it was very much a good choice by the two of you. Compliments? Very good choice. .....
  2. My money is on the 'forcing' your wife to wear heels option. Gonna beat the heck out of having an operation or needing to be stretched.
  3. Well, I goofed off Friday. Spent all day answering emails, (business related) and didn't get the work tools out until later. Couldn't justify a play evening having sat on my backside all day. Seems I've spent so much time on my knees over the last couple of days, and done little else, my right knee has swollen for some reason? I vaguely remember having this once before (maybe on an elbow) and movement helped it dissipate. Will be doing some walking tomorrow then, one way or the other!
  4. "Work hard, play harder." I'm impressed with the lifestyles of several members here, but I'm kinda in awe of your life, and your outlook. I don't suppose you'll ever visit the UK, but if you do, I hope you can make time for me to meet you. You've a great lesson to teach any of us, about living life .... Reason for edit: Ambiguity removed.
  5. Looks like I may visiting London, at least once this week. Mrs Freddy is out with the girls on Saturday night, (celebrating a birthday), and feels we should have some time away from the building site too. She reminded me Friday is late shopping at several stores there. I've no money to spend, but browsing in heels would be pleasant. Still raining most days, though temperatures have risen slightly. If I don't go there Friday, I might have a wander up there Saturday anyway. Getting a bit 'stir crazy' looking out of windows at the rain pouring down ..... P.S. One bit of news that was a relief to me (though not so good for Mrs Freddy), we are not getting two kittens after all. Someone who went to collect one of the litter, instantly fell in love with one of the pair coming here, so they took two away instead of one. The other kitten from the pair, is staying put. So cute the current carer can't bear to lose it. He is cute, eh?
  6. Oh to have the charm, charisma, and probably good looks to have so much choice! I think with one exception I can remember, all my girlfriends (and wife) came with size 6/EU39. The exception coming with a size 5/EU38, and she with feet now in such a poor condition now, she struggles to walk any distance. I've mentioned her before, having had many operations to straighten toes bent and crooked through 25+ years of wearing fairly high heels.
  7. Great report. As always, an interesting read Eoneleg. Not sure why you refer to yourself as 'silly'? Adventurous, 'devil-may-care' maybe? Silly, surely not. Don't know of these getting to the UK, though I understand from an internet search the likes of Dior used the patented design. For anyone else like myself, who has no experience of these, I found a web site with plenty of styles + images. Seems the idea is the (patented) elasticated design keeps the mule firmly against the bottom of the wearers foot, and helps prevent the shoe falling off the foot? Seems like a great idea. .....
  8. Excellent pictures, thank you. All I can say is, it's a good job I'm not a neighbour. I'd be a real pest [for the first month at least]. You two wearing heels, motorbike ..... landscape .... and looking at the pictures, sunshine too! You seem to have a very good life. Well done you. P.S. Just checked a shoe conversion chart. EU36 is a US 6 and UK 3½. That is small! ....
  9. I know some of you are into music, though I think it might be 'rock' music more than anything else. That said, we all know what a truly great track sounds like, and I stumbled across what seems like an East European Club Anthem? I really like it, and have played it around 60 times in the last 15 hours. [Easy to do, just put it on repeat.] She's easy on the eye, and has a voice no-one is likely to forget in a hurry. Shame the main lyrics aren't in English. I think this could be a world-wide hit ..... NOT office safe. Best enjoyed if listening on headphones, or speakers with some distance apart so the stereo effects can be enjoyed.
  10. No new family members .... Crunch day is next weekend I found out yesterday .... Photo's ..... Tree blown over. Luckily, no-one was injured. 2nd tree cut down, as it was in danger of falling onto a pathway. Council has been around this morning to start removing debris. Apparently, one that covered the bottom part of our garden blew over 3 years ago. ....
  11. I would agree, big off-road bike and heels? No. Special pegs/levers wouldn't make it much safer, especially as you might had to put your foot down hard (on the ground) from time to time, when using it off-road.
  12. In-soles with arch support might help, if you think this might be a problem? That pain in your calves .... would be telling me, my legs are getting a good work-out.
  13. Cheaper to replace the pegs? Not a Ninja 250R by any chance?
  14. Advised today via email from Priceless ..... "Hiking" >> boot << with high block heel at reasonable money?
  15. 1. That bike looks brand new? 2. Pegs look very shoe-unfriendly? 3. Still luvin' the boots!
  16. Resssssssult. I have to say, I have never found mens jeans either comfortable, or flattering. I'm not a farm hand in Kansas, so my taste in jeans might not be what Mr Levi had in mind when he decided to make mens working trousers. Stretch material is great, and I don't understand why more mens styles don't include them? Well done you, and Mrs Shyguy of course. .....
  17. I am thinking of getting a motorbike again. [Weather is not conducive to motorcycling this summer though.] Priced up a couple last year, but no purchase. No danger of getting one this year ..... Not only raining most days, but even today, 25mph winds ..... My worry about motorcycling in heels, would be the scuffing caused by gear changes? That an explaining to doctors/nurses, why I was wearing heels. [Assuming I survived an accident.] ....
  18. Had to stay home. Wind blew a tree down on Friday pm on the green at the bottom of our garden, and a second was so dangerously close to falling, it had to be cut down. We now have a much better view of the light industrial units, the other side of the green. Heavy rain due on Saturday evening [that arrived]. This is rain that has flooded several parts of central England. Sunday we are going to a family dinner, where Mrs Freddy hopes to collect two hand-reared 6/7 week old kittens, and bring them home. I've advised that I struggle to get motivated to repair a house already, without having two little balls of entertainment to distract me. I think I may lose this one ..... Photo's of trees to follow. Possibly photo's of new 'family' members too.
  19. Not a problems. Please bid! Might be a bit high though .... 4" ....... ? Hopefully, free listing weekend, next week.
  20. 3 sets of emails (one with several attachments), and a Live-Chat session later [that took 20 minutes to get stated], I've had confirmation the Defamatory remarks are going to be removed. Shame it took so long, as I missed a free listing weekend, waiting for a response. Hey-ho. Back on track now.
  21. Had planned to have a walk around the West End this evening. Was summer Solstice yesterday, the days are about as long as they get. Currently it's raining, with a 15-25mph cool (gusting) wind keeping temperatures around 12/15 degrees C. If the trees weren't full of green foliage, I'd think it was a day in late Autumn. Might have to stay home. Again.
  22. That doesn't look like the Internationally Famous auction site? There were at least two pairs there, that would sell well I think, in the UK. Maybe they all would, but they'd certainly get more money on that auction site, than you'd get from the skip. Selling as a job lot, will be very difficult too. You'd get more interest if each were sold separately .....
  23. Sound advice. I really need to start making some time for this.
