New Look ~ Winter styles

Recommended Posts

Yes, the reasonably priced New Look have brought in some of their Winter styles.....

Here are a couple to have a look at:

Wearable; anytime, any place?

Attractive to some, but a little 'showy' for daytime wear?

Both with a sensible heel of 10cm/4ins. ;-)

Hmm, they're somehow a bit 'grannyish' those (IMO).

Yep, nice but a bit too showy and fetish-like (pointyness & patentness).

I like these ones better than the two above. I'm 99% likely to get a pair when I find them in a sale. Maybe still a bit too grannyish !?!

I think anything "patent" and shiny stands out a mile on most guys, especially patent shiny shoezzz...

I see the size 9 is the first to be "out of stock"... ;-)

I saw sight of both pairs while on my fortnightly trip to Oxford Street tonight.

The shiny ones look nice, but are not 'men wear' save under cover of darkness, heavy rain, and lightning overhead scaring the bezeezus out of everyone close by. :(

The granny ones, might look granny, but might be wearable because the fronts look almost passable. (Even with the fairly short toe.) The thing I didn't like, was the dark grey/brown soles. Not black for some reason? Manufacturing quality was a bit questionable, given the price. Okay, not Aldo price either .... But I own better quality New Look PU boots I paid

I agree with euchrid about the granny look - like my grandmother used to wear (but without a heel like that). Almost like a men's style but with a slender high heel. The lace-up front contributes to the granny look.

The second post ones are much nicer, and the boots much more modern and rugged looking.
