  1. Wise words JMC, I'm glad I waited till I was more mature before getting anything again. As a younger man I was more prone to risk taking, plus now I have better road sense and can read other drivers better to gauge what they may be about to do. Still can never be sure so I always leave plenty of room to manoeuvre.

  2. Sounds familiar, too many hobbies not enough money lol. Would love to try my hand at RC flight and once bought a cheap copter from Ebay. It was polystyrene body with plastic chassis parts. It was one channel control  you used the speed of the rotor to control the turn of the body to "steer" it. The short of it was the second flight attempt saw it end up getting caught in a tree and then falling to earht and breaking off the "unbreakable" plastic landing feet. It's been in the loft for two years now.

  3. I came off a 50cc motorbike at 16 and watched the cars missing my head by inches as they went round the roundabout. Diesel on the road meant I had come off doing the bikes top speed of 35 mph. Rode that till I got my first car then rode infrequently till I got my classic a couple of years ago. The roundabout incident makes me cautious as to what may be on the road ahead...

  4. Following the recent trend to widen the chat in the Cafe, I wondered how many here ride motorcycles?

I come from a family of motorcyclists but was a bit late getting on a big bike myself. I now ride a 1970's Kawasaki as long as it's not raining. Not ultra fast but a lot of fun still with plenty of torque.

    What do you ride?

  5. Start with lots of cash if you want to fly RC Helicopters. I have known two people try it and wanted to do the same myself, they both told me that the higher you get with the copter the more it costs when you crash (both emphasised "WHEN").

The one who related it best to me described it as week one, one foot up, move slightly back and forth, left and right, confusion on the sticks, crash,

  6. It only takes one or two people following a spammers link to make their millions of crap posts profitable to them. Autoposting software means they spend seconds setting up a post to millions of sites all automatically joined. Shame but it all comes down to the money, and bugger the people who might actually not want to see their nonsense posts and links.

Viruses are a different matter altogether, nobody makes anything off them, like vandalism it just makes no sense as to why people do it. Or are viruses being released by the anti-virus sellers as the conspiracy theories would like us to believe?

Whatever, the fact that the site is getting hit by spam shows that it is getting noticed and that's got to be good in its own right.

Lets keep posting as that keeps the search engines coming back to relist the pages and add to the amount of terms the sight might be found under. Heels For Men can grow only if we work at it together, and it is growing now.

  7. Interesting post, and I guess that applies to us all. There is a point at which the balance tips from acceptable behaviour which can be tolerated to a point where it can't be tolerated. Sometimes the heels can be seen as a big weight tipping the balance to the non tolerance. I guess some of it is overcome still by the softly softly approach we often advise which gives the tolerance time to balance again.

Food for thought for sure. Thanks Freddy and Mrs Freddy

  8. Welcome ImInHeels, and thanks for introducing yourself.

Looks like you found out where to start, and just hope you continue posting now you have started.

I think we've all been where you are with regard to getting outside in your preferred footwear, and there is no easy answer but to go for it. I've only done very little heeling in public and then in very masculine styled wedges and block heeled boots with 2" heels, but that got easier as I wore them more. It got to the point where I realised no one was noticing and now want to go further, but just need my wifes backing to go more daring.

Hope you get to where you want to be with your heel wearing.

  9. Exactly, what is normal?

It has been said time and again, most of the problem with men wearing heels is in the wearers own mind, most people just won't care what you have on your feet. And do you really care what the rest of the narrow minded minority think of you for wearing heels?

Even so we need a site like this to feel "normal" and accepted as male heel wearers.

Welcome to another normal male who happens to like wearing shoes with heels.

  10. Isn't it funny how you start wearing heels in private and after experiencing the feelings an hour or so in the dark is just not enough? You want to wear them more, and in more situations. Which leads to a desire to wear them in normal, everyday situations. It seems to be a natural progression and a recurring theme.

Gotta agree with you there. No matter how many times I tell myself it's just an indoor thing, I still have the urge to get outside and in public wearing heels.

  11. for the most part wear long jeans/trousers over thick-ish 4" heels. Basically, I look taller than I usually do, and other than that don't look much different to when I wear flat shoes. So should I be fortunate enough to meet of you while out and about, it won't be me 'sticking out like a sore thumb'. :-D

I can confirm that, having met Freddy once, I wouldn't have looked twice even though I was looking for a guy wearing heels when we met up.

  12. Agreed, it's a great story and one we can relate to. I'm sure we have all had the feeling we were the only ones wearing heels in the world. And what a relief to find its not so !

Crossdressing isn't for me either, just the heels although sometimes it seemed like it might be a way to get to wear heels with less notice taken because you look like a woman. Don't think I could have got away with it though lol.

Good luck on your lifestyle choice and please post again, it's never boring sharing others experiences.

  13. Hi, just thought I'd say welcome and also to be the first to tell you to make sure he knows how lucky he is to have a partner willing to try to come to terms with his choice of footwear.

My own wife said it was a shock when she found out, and it's difficult for her to understand it, and come to terms with my "heel thing". For her she feels it somehow makes me less masculine and she feels less feminine as a result?

Hope you continue to support each other, and that you can both enjoy life together regardless of footwear or any other minor matters. Thanks for joining in.
