  1. They are still a little bit tight in the toe box, due to the patent material, though unlike some courts the fully fit my foot and are quite easy to walk in.

I have only had a wander around the house so far, but seem easier to walk in than those Evans block heels boots I bought the other day!

I think that the shape of the shoe is well made allowing for an upright posture, I will see if FastFreddy can get some pics if these in public, when we meet up next week... Though they are definitely NOT for discreet heeling. There is no doubt that I would be spotted in these!

At £17 in the DP sale, I think the price was right, they are better quality than some of the more expensive New Look offerings! Hopefully these will give a little in the toe and then they should make for an excellent pair of "In your face" heels !!

  2. Yep we sure are our own worst enemy.... And thats the problem, if you go to the middle east and misbehave, you will get tried AND punished by their laws and rightly so.

Similarly with that British woman caught smuggling in Bali, she get's sentenced to death and there is uproar here, but st the end of the day, she was smuggling drugs which would undoubtedly ended up here or the US and caused a whole raft of social problems that comes witg drug misuse.

I've got no sympathy with them, you do the crime, you do the time .... Simple. Unless of course you live in bleeding heart Britain!

  3. I think the short answer is; the general lack of enthusiasm for confrontation.

That, and the lack of support for 'sensible attitudes' from the Police/Establishment. How often do you read about the victims of crime being arrested, because they fought back? :angry:/>

You are right, people (Even those employed to do security) do not want confrontation, which is a shame.. In years past one or more of the adults about would have dispensed a swift clip to the ear.... But now that would get you arrested!

    The main problem has been 10 years of Labour rule with a human rights reason why nothing can be done;

At least the new home secretary Theresa May IS making the right noises; and has good intentions.... But finds her hands tied by our judicial system!

Look at the case of Tony Martin, shoots a burgular and He goes to prison... At least recently they have changed the law and made it harder to prosecute people defending their homes!

Look at the riots.... No political motivation, just the idle youth seeing a way to get what they want Now instead of having to wirk or save for it! I don't think things will improve for the better in the near future, so we are stuck with the hoody "Yoof" culture!

Perhaps I should apply to be a magistrate...... That said I wouldn't get through because I would be too hard line!

  4. You are quite right, she does look trashy, but thats only to be expected from a WAG!

The only thing is why would you put a £550 pair of Louboutin Stilettos on her feet... I am quite sure we could find much more deserving receipients on here...

  5. I had a evening trip out to Primark at High Wycombe (about 6ish) , and was again wearing my Evans block heel boots. There were relatively few people about, considering it is Easter weekend I am not surprised, and whilst I encountered no problems, wearing my heels, very discreet and minimal noise! I noticed that feral groups of adolecents were roaming the shopping centre, hoodies up, caterwailing to other equally awful groups!

I found the whole atmosphere very unpleasant as most of the genuine shoppers were scurrying from store to store, heads down, not wanting to attract attention. The little hooligans don't bother me, but I wonder 1. What are the security (who are always visible in the day) doing, because they were certainly noticeable by their absence!

    2. Why is something not being done with these young hooligans?

Personally I believe that some form of national service should be introduced, to teach a little respect and discipline!

Or we could just make them all wear heels!! (For a while- but this would probably breach the poor little darlings Human rights!)

  6. I am liking the boots, very nice, and you are probably bang on the money about her being an airhead!

They do a little bit of TV work, find an equally dense, but infinitely more talented footballer (Loads of dosh) and becomes a wag....

Wag rule 1: Maximum exposure..... So the shorter the skirt, higher the heels and the more cleavage on display the better!

  7. Apparently, toward the end of next month. Maybe. :rolleyes:/> :(/>

And when it does come, we'll be reading about people getting cooked, getting too much Sun too quickly. :wacko:/>

And then everyone will be moaning about the heat..... You know it's the National British pastime!!

I can't wait for the sun to come out and encourage lots of short skirts and high heels for our viewing pleasure!

The only problem I can see is that the shops are already loaded with flat sandally type things again! At least they are better than Uggs!

  8. Also came across this pic of the also very lovely Helen Flanagan, wearing a £550 pair of Christian Louboutin slingback stillettos, with what appear to be at least a 6 inch heel...

Yes I really want a pair of these...

Not sure about the rest of the ensemble though!

  9. Class! :D/>

A good looking shoe 'vandalised' by graffiti ?? :rolleyes:/>

Are you on about the shoe or the tattoo.. Personally I really hate tattoos on womens feet, it can make an otherwise really attractive foot/shoe view look appalling. The otherwise gorgeoys Ferne Cotton has one and it reslly detracts from how good her feet would look in in the nice heels that she frequently wears.

  10. Hopefully we'll be meeting soon. Perhaps I can demonstrate my technique? It's not perfect, but it does work - usually. :huh:/>

Given how often you have been out and about recently (this week) I had imagined you would have seen loads of heels about, though I suppose many girls/women will have been in snow shoes this week? ;)/> :D/>

There has been very slim pickings this week... Flats and uggs and flat boots are about it, it's a shame because weeks previously we were starting to fet some heels out and about...

Hopefully, we shall have plenty to look at when we meet up!

  11. Well onto the trip to Watford, uneventful drive, though the boots are not ideal for driving in..

I parked up in the Harlequin centre's multi story carpark, and made my way down to the shops, I had deliberately come early to avoid the school kids finishing time and found that they had been released early today, the centre was crowded with groups of 4/5 kids in uniform! Not my favourite heeling venue but as I was there I carried on.

My first stop was New Look, but today slim pickings here, And this was to be the theme of the afternoon... I had a good wander around and visited Primark (Same courts I had already seen in Slough), BHS, Aldo,Office, Schuh, River Island, Mango, Dune

There was not a fantastic selection anywhere, John Lewis particularly poor... I had to laugh at a group of young girls ogling the courts in New Look with no chance of buying them (Cost) one was trying a pair on and had picked the highest stilettos she could find (No photo for obvious reasons). All her friends were egging her on to get them for a forthcoming party.. Hopefully she had the sense not to buy them until she was a little more practised(I could do a lot better)

So it was off home in my heels... Having run the gauntlet of schoolkids without being spotted!

  12. Well I am using the afternoons as me time and had a two part trip out today, first I was keen to try on a really high stiletto pair that I had seen in Brantano's Ruislip (For some reason this store has a lot of size 9/10 stock in)

I pretty much had the shop to myself and the 3 cashiers were far too busy chatting at the front about their holidays to come and have a look at what I was doing.

I tried on about 10 pairs of heels and some flats, (I am into all womens shoes and enjoy wearing womens flats, though they are a lot harder to hide!)

Attached are some pics of the serious contenders for my cash, all size 10

The 5 inch heel stiletto courts were wearable, but a little too tight in the toebox, so not really wearable for long.

The 4 inch black patent stiletto courts were a lot better fit, but too be honest a little too "Shiny" for my liking

And the pair that I really liked were the black and beige wedge sandals, these were the highest that I tried on in store, but were totally comfortable and easy to walk in, I walked from one end of the shop to the other in these, I had an audience for this of a foreign (Polish??) young woman with a baby in a buggy, she had watched me put them on, smiled and watched as I walked up and down in them. I think she was very amused to see me trying them on......

I decided not to purchase any items on this visit and made my way to Watford, i changed into my Evans blockheel boots for this drive (Which was not the best idea but hey ho)

    Details will follow shortly
