Don't know I prefer the white myself, think the black is too much of a two tone (Like a dodgy 1970,s Austin or Leyland car) I really like wedges but even if they had my size, I dont think they are £85 worth.... These would have to be under £20 for me to consider.....
-
I wouldn't mind seeing a pair on Mrs Heelmans feet, but considering her attitude to heels.... And the fact they would be worn once! I am not spending £80 on them for her
-
Your probably right about them being dancing shoes, though I don't think I would want to dance in a pair with heels That high!
-
I am definitely liking the black pair, i can see myself blowing £80 if I actually got a pair in my hand!
The only question is where would I wear them??
-
Yes, I know what you mean about them getting heavier, but her sister is 9 years the wifes junior and a size 6, she is still in that skinny as a rake mode! And still in that discovering heels/boys/booze stage ... Although not necessarily in that order!
I am sure that there will be plenty of family events over the coming years to observe which heels she wears. We have already discussed the fact that she wants to wear ridculously high heels, whilst the wife does the big sisterly advice.... It isn't good when you side with your sister in law!
I started being a collector and then realised that there is no point having heels that you can't wear! After all that IS the reason they were made. If I had 1. The money and 2. The footsize I too would wear loubies or choos every chance I got!

No chance of her treating shoes like some sort of trophy, they literally go in the cupboard under the stairs in a great pile, or in the bottom of her wardrobe again just jumbled in a heap.
She comes out with the sore feet excuse every now and again!
Personally, I wouldn't mind if she did keep the like trophies, but to her shoes are just something to be worn!
Now her younger sister is going to be a totally different kettle of fish, as from what I can see she is well into her heels and is constantly trying to scrounge Mrs Heelmans shoes! I know when we have been shopping with her, she gravitates towards the skyscraper heels!
That's another reason for not buying Mrs H any heels, because the sister is always trying to acquire them!
-
At least they would be interesting, Mrs Shyguy buys flats and very boring shoes which she only wears once. A couple of months ago it was £45 for some boots, very plain very flat boots. Worn once and now shoved in the cupboard and in their place on her feet some equally boring £20 Asda boots.
I know exactly what you mean, Mrs Heelman does the same, spots a pair of overpriced heels that she will only wear once and then has every excuse why the can't be worn!
Excuses included: they must have stretched (Worn once) the heels are slippy ( Same as when you bought them and guaranteed you could walk in them) theyre too big now,my feet must have shrunk
And then she wears these awful short black small wedge ankle boots that are sooooo horrible but despite 30 plus available pairs are the only shoes that fit! They were £12 in Asda so it shows the quality and style.
This also does NOT stop Mrs H from constantly oogling heels knowing I like them, in the off chance that she might get them bought for her.
I am wise to that trick now! If she cared for them instead of dumping them in a wardrobe I might be more inclined to open the bank of heelman for her!

Hideous shoes..... But could see it taking off in a Chav way!

Thanks for the link Freddy,
I have just had a look on the Burlesque Blue website and found loads of styles that I would certainly covet. They also do size 10/11/12 so that would suggest them being made to order, here in the UK.
Yes £100 is steep but I agree, for a handmade, really nice shoe in a size that fits, well worth the money, but I shan't be buying loads of them!
-
I dunno, suggests age-related forgetfulness?
Are you sure you're not older than you claim? ;)/> :P/> :D/>
Quite sure Freddy !
Too much heeling in the last week made me complacent!
-
More salt in your diet, thats what gets rid of cramp!
The more I look at the pic of the second pair, the more I am liking them!
-
Both very nice and very wearable boots, I for one would definitely wear a pair of these in public.
I'm not overkeen on the upturned toe box, but that is only a minir niggle, and if as you say they are like a high heeled slipper, I would never be out of them... Well only when "Her indoors" is about!
You certainly know how to select a fine pair of heels Freddy!

I had a look at the NW uk website and they have a few nice pairs on there, I think that I shall have to wait for the sales!
I have noticed that Debenhams seem to stock the size 9's so that may be worth a look!

Ooohh both very nice pairs of shoes there Freddy, but if you slept in the first pair I'm not surprised your were in agony!
Think I would last an hour tops in those....
-
Mmmmm.... Yes I am sure Mrs Freddy's comments would not be suitable on here !
-
I have reposted my avatar shot, hopefully back up! Not sure if I am having difficulties because I am accessing the web from a mobile.
In terms of those Aldo heels, it will definitely be worth trying a pair at Westfield, though at £70 I won't be purchasing!
Would be interested in the Nine West heels as their 11w size fits me nicely!

Ok I'm 43...... Going on 23

I just about managed Mum's kitchen ceiling last year with a long(ish) handled roller... Though a pair of 4 inch heels would of made the job soooo much easier... Come to think of it the posture might have helped too!

Count Freddy of Stilettoville..... I can just see you now in a pair of black patent stiletto boots, with a cloak, oh and dont forget the hat!
I think you should get a title for services to mens' heeling!

I have actually seen a real bona fide genuine Rag and Bone man, when we were little 5-8 we used to visit my Grandparents in Bury and they still had the ragnbone man coming up the back street looking for junk!
I honestly cant remember if he had a truck or horse... It was probably a truck as I'm sure I would have remembered the horse!
I do still like some of the older shows/ films.... Tonights Jack Lemmon in "The mightiest ship in the navy" 1960 but still good!

Three very nice pairs of shoes there Freddy, I particularly like the look of the ankle boots, though the wedges would do me equally well.... If I had seen these and they had my size I would have left with £49 less in my pocket.
The stilettos also look really nice, theres something about KG heels which look really classy and elegant!
I am assuming that you were in the KG store in the village, so I would imagine the sales chaps are on commission, and would not give a damn about you trying on heels!
It is always nice when the sales staff give you plenty of space when trying on a nice pair of heels!
I can see you going back for one of those pairs Freddy!
