  1. The few times I,ve been to Aldo in Camden, the store has always been busy. First time I went there I managed to find two pairs of knee high boots that fitted but just couldn't get the zip up on one boot. Should of still bought them. Anyway I find their shoes run small so I don't bother going there now.

One way or another, I will get my full initial payment returned. I proposed to the seller I would accept the cost of the return, not least because I want to spend more money doing than I might really need to. (RM 2nd Class Signed For at £3-95 vs. Hermes at £2-80.)

The seller has agreed a return, and I have started the formal process for this with Ebay. It forms 'a case', and as far as I know this needs to be used so the seller gets their fees back. It also provides Ebay with some visibility of what's going on, should there be some difficulty further down the line. I am not expecting any. The seller seems genuine, and as far as I can tell there is still 'good-will' between us. If the return is agreed, I return the goods, seller returns money. Seller gets credit for fees and case is automatically closed with 'no strike' recorded against the seller. If it all goes smoothly, I might even be tempted to leave positive feedback.

I don't often do it, but at this stage I'm happy to give the seller the benefit of 'any doubt' regarding the condition of the shoes. As a seller or buyer, I make sure the item I am selling is both clean, and in a condition it is worth selling. (If not worth selling, it goes to a charity shop if it's serviceable, 'recycling' if not.) In this instance, dirty/worn shoes were put on Ebay for not much money to dispose of them. On close inspection, I have found them to be at the end of their useful 'service' life. Given the state of the soles (filthy), it may have been too easy for the missing sole tip to have been missed.

On a slightly different tack, I may have a problem with a sale.

The shoes I sold on (coincidentally a pair from Office) were sent as always, via RM Signed For. They were due Monday, latest Tuesday. RM are neither confirming delivered, or a failed delivery attempt. I have TWICE asked the buyer if the shoes have been delivered, with no response to either enquiry.

Sometimes it's best not to ask you buyer if they recieved their item. They will let you soon enough if they havent recieved their item. Only thing you can do is add the tracking number to listing.

    Might be worth asking again.

I'm pretty sure some E/B messages don't get delivered, and they certainly don't get delivered promptly.

If you suggested the 10M was a UK8, it may be he's taken your advice and altered the listing to show the correct(ed) size?

if he took my suggestion then he would of got my  message.  I just sent him another message any way.

ALDO have this 'size guide' routine on their site now, to help prospective buyers order up the right size. It works by asking which brands/which size fit best. I used this, and was told my ideal size would be their UK 9½. :o

The only time I've tried this size, it fitted like a loose wellington boot. Consequently, I ordered up 2 pairs of boots in the UK8 I think I am. Both pairs fitted like the proverbial. I managed to mess up the discount order process on the cheaper pair and the OTK boots didn't fit my legs very well (see report elsewhere) so both pairs were returned. That said, should my size be available during a sale period, I might reorder the ankle/shoe boots at the better price which is typically half the starting money.

Just been on their site for the first time on a long time. Took me a little while to find what you were on about. It/s not with the size chart but you find it when you look up a shoe. Not much  used to me at the moment. Aldo need to add more common brands like Faith New look and Next to be more usefull.

  5. Found this pair of Nine West mules on ebay. Listed as a 10m uk. Not sure if they are going to be on the big size on me. Not sure about Nine west sizing. Just waiting  for the seller to get back to me. Heel look like to be about 5 inches can only judge be the photo. Nothing mention about heel height in the listing..

  6. Bought 2 pairs from New Look onlinne. Returned the nude pair as didn.t fit. Wanted the first pair but bought the 2nd pair to save on postage cost but ended up keeping them. Starting to think  that maybe New look heels are just on the slim size for me. Other brands seem to fit better  and so seem to be more comfortable.

  7. I might of said I will travel 50 miles but  I might be willing to go further but all depends on where and who like to turn up to a heel meet.  Been to London more then a few times for heels meets now and sort of fed up with going there.  The chances of me being able to walk in a shop and find any heels my size are very slim so I won't be going to buy any heels, it will be just to meet up with another heel wearer.
