  1. Yeah, heel grips would be a VERY last resort.

Size 8 should have been the right size, and they fitted quite well if I didn't have anything else on my feet. But wearing hose was a must. I won't usually have naked feet in shoes unless the shoes can be washed in a sink sometime later, and wearing hose meant my feet were made slightly too small which then allowed my heel to slip out of the shoe.

They were fairly expensive compared to the styles I normally buy, even though they were in the sales. At the time, there was no way I could justify that kind of expense for shoes I would only ever look at.

The same shoes have been on Evilbay a couple of times recently, with only a little wear to the soles. Not sold to me or anyone else yet ....

    Decision decisions ....

  2. Went to Lakeside on Friday night [12th June], with her good self.

I wore the same PU boots I'd worn last night. Madam wore these >> KG shoes << [bought earlier this year in the Sales.]

We walked around, pretty much in-step. Was a little weird, but the two lots of muted clonking heels was a joy to hear, I can tell you. :(

Started off in Primark (Primarni) trying to find the 32/34 jeans again. Don't know why, I just couldn't stop myself? Found 10+ pairs of 34/34 and each measured 33/33, which I know because I measured every pair in the store. A 32/33 would do, but it wasn't to be.

Went to Marks and Spencer again too. Trying to find a white version of this top >> long sleeved T << which I use as a base layer underneath just about any top. I've not found anything similar in a mans style, and I have tried!

Got 'twigged' by a fella, and maybe his girlfriend, as I walked toward them eating in a burger bar. Thought to myself "Oh dear", then instantly forgot about them. :(

Popped into House of Fraser, and enjoyed the selection of KG shoes there, but Shoe Factory (Nine West) have really 'gone off the boil'. Their Buyer(s) last year must have been recruited from the older section of the W.I. (bless 'em). Last season I wanted just about everything in their collection. Not so this year.

As we arrived late, there wasn't time to do much else. We ate at Bella Italia, and left for home around 11.30pm. Think the staff at Bella knew about my boots, but only the waitress sat the bar (we were the last to leave) tried to watch us go. And she was watching. I turned around twice, and she was breaking her neck to watch us walk up the stairs as we exited. IIRC she had a Polish accent, and I know from past experience Eastern Europeans are more easily surprised by men wearing heels, than maybe Brits are.

Other than the two probables noted, there were no other incidents - if that term had to be used. Which means I had another evening of walking around a multitude of people, of mixed ages and races, without a problem at all. Wearing 4 1/4" heels..... Yes, I had a very nice evening, thank you.

  3. It was polystyrene body with plastic chassis parts. It was one channel control :( you used the speed of the rotor to control the turn of the body to "steer" it.

I got one for Christmas 2007. Helo charged off the controller (maybe?) I still have mine. Trimming it was quite hard IIRC.

I nearly got a second, larger one, for Christmas 2008 ..... But it had limited functionality [maybe 2 channel] despite claims to the contrary on the box, so it got returned.

Thinking about it, I'm still owed a pressie for 2008 .... [so much for "better to give than to receive" eh? :(]

    P.S.

  4. While looking for something else, I came across these images.

Thought they might be of interest.

And another link off that page:

Both dated 2009, so I hope they are originals.

  5. Every year, getting on for almost 20, I've promised myself a new ride. Even priced a couple up ..... [GPz600 always looks good.]

If I'm honest though, I think it's a dream I've given up on, now I've matured.

Some years ago I spent some time in hospital. One of my fellow patients had gotten himself seriously injured on a motorbike. Not the obvious high speed prang..... He'd been doing about 10mph while turning at a 'T' junction. No other traffic involved.

Front wheel slid from underneath him, and he fell onto the handlebar which pierced his belly. He will never again need loo paper, since he uses a bag instead. :(

Put another spin on how attractive motorcycling might be to me.... It's been more than 6 years since I heard about the incident. Still troubles me.

  6. I'm planning to (again) use a plain white paper sheet for a background. Trouble with white of course, is that the brightness of it will encourage the camera's light meter to make the image darker.

I've done some photo's already, intending to put some of my Evilbay failures back on sale there. [sizing problems, typically.] Wasn't a very quick operation, I can tell you.

For example: >> Diesel shoes I stupidly returned << [Photo taken with +2 stops exposure.]

Nice picture though eh? They went back because the size 8 fell off my feet. How much do heel grips cost? [Duh!]

  7. Don't know if this is going to work, but I wore these Thursday ....

    >> Boots <<

A recent purchase, and plastic/PU, so I didn't know if they would be comfortable.... Anyway, they worked out great!

Went to Brent Cross, and had a short walk around. Visited M+S, the Mens loos, and popped into Fenwicks. Left having only been 'spotted' by one or two people. These are hard to walk in as they have a 4 1/4" heel, and come with quite a strong curve on the rise. Put another way, it feels like I'm wearing 5" heels, and my gait (walk) reflected this. I should have been noticed by many more people, but I didn't stand out at all.

At Oxford Street, visited M+S store, looking for the same product I couldn't find at Brent Cross. Over to Primark (Primarni) to look for some 32" waist 34" leg jeans I'd seen a couple of weeks before. Seems I wasn't fast enough with my purchasing decision, and that particular size in that jean style, has sold out everywhere....

Back to the car and drove to Regents Street, parking around the corner to Ponti's. The two girls I'm used to seeing must have left. ;-) Food is still good, though no free drinks this time....

Was only out for about 3-4 hours in total. Was spotted by very few people, and not single remark or obvious stare. One or two men men walking behind me saw I had high heels on, but just walked past me. It was impossible to walk fast in those boots. Had a good night.

    Where were you? :-(

  8. A couple of years ago, one of my younger brothers got into RC Helo flying. By way of getting some experience, he bought a DOS based Flight Sim that used a similar controller, to the one you'd use in real flight. I'll confirm straightaway, I couldn't fly the sim without crash-landing, so in real world terms I've got no chance with anything moving..... :-(

He too went down shyguys "loads o'money" route, but with a body repair shop, he could afford it..... ;-) When he got one flying though, he found the local clubs (with their own authorised flying zone) had membership waiting lists that ran into years ..... :-(

Now some years later, things are a bit different. Miniaturisation means we can fly fully functioning RC Helo's in our front rooms, and some are all but indestructable. B)

I had quite a long chat with an enthusiast only a couple of months ago (customer). I've included some links that may be of interest.

    IIRC there is a

  9. I had a look at the F-TV site last night, having read the post above....

Looked mighty complicated, but is there an on-line method to watch this programme? Just about all terrestrial UK TV is available on-line. I've no idea how to find something previously screened in SA?

That prog MUST be around somewhere? ;-)

  10. I'm always worried about 'ring-fencing' the natural/biological interest or growth within a Forum or site like H4M. In a regular social situation, people talk about all manner of things, not just a single subject.

Women in particular don't have the facet in their personality (unless talking about Elvis or Take That) to have a single life interest. For some reason, there's a layer of men that can. In the UK, we call them "anoraks" or "train spotters". They are seldom welcome amongst regular folk, unless invited in to a pub quiz where specialist knowledge earns the team points in a competition. I'd prefer not to be labelled in such a way. I have many interests besides wearing heels. Mountain biking, for example.

One of the busiest specialist Forums I'm a member of, have a "Non-(special-interest) Forum" where just about anything can be discussed. Anything you would consider 'proper' in a Church that is, and is Moderated to be Child-Friendly too. The Forum is busy, and any problem gets a solution in minutes, often by a number of qualified people. The underlying vein of the site is the specialist interest of course, but there is the chance for general chit-chat too.

I'm concerned that anyone looking to join and/or contribute to the Forum might (a) expect they must only have a single interest to join or (B) relinquish any other interest to be a member of value?

Further, I've read somewhere in the "What Forums would you like?" thread (I think), that some of the requested Forums are already 'covered' in HHplace? On a personal level, that's no use to me, because I'm not allowed there. On a general level, it handicaps natural (progressive) interest in this site, because doors are closed that would otherwise be opened. The site is left handicapped and incapable of competing for the same interest.

    Imagine a scenario....

The two sites are EXACTLY replicated. One is used by men wearing heels, with no other HH interest. [so no TV/TS involvement, just men being manly amongst the general public.] Those wanting anything else, use the HHplace site.

I would imagine the weight of traffic would shift significantly?

With the ramping up of membership, with the hoped arrival of further contributors, I'm sure this place will rival HHplace in time anyway. :-(

I need to spend a day taking pictures of my shoes and boots. The site will become a Reference for High Heels .... ;-) Especially if I include Mrs Freddy's. :(

What herself brought home tonight >> click << for example ... :D

    .....

  11. Version II.

Just got herself to read 'The Idea'.

First response wasn't great. I was again (verbally) reminded I'm not perfect, and my liking heels is another thing [in addition to everything else that makes me less than perfect], which makes our relationship something of a struggle for her sometimes. It's important to understand what I'm saying.

    Preamble:

Lets propose I'm untidy, and lazy. Me being untidy and lazy, might be fully acceptable in my relationship. Maybe not attractive, but acceptable.

Lets propose, I'm untidy and like heels. Me being untidy, and liking heels, might be fully acceptable in my relationship. Maybe not attractive, but acceptable.

Lets propose I'm untidy, lazy, and like wearing heels. This could or would probably be either getting to, at, or past a breaking point.... The problem in this scenario, isn't an interest in heels, it's the on-going balance of demand (mine) and supply (hers) ... of 'goodwill' in the relationship and the latitude I need to enjoy my interest. Like any enthusiastic sports supporter, I'd like to wear my team colours all the time and I'd imagine that would be a little wearing to any partner.

So there are a least a couple of other contributory ingredients that might make up a full response to The Idea?

    @shyguy:

Mrs Freddy (who you've met) initially replied after reading the first post of the thread; "You either accept it or you don't. The amount of shoes you have [i have] and the amount of time you spent buying them last year, was hard to deal with, especially on top of everything else we had to cope with ... "

In the light of the preamble, her response is fully understandable. Further, I've had it suggested to me, if I get the house 'sorted' (aka modernised and decorated), I might even get some shoes bought for me. Rather sadly, I like decorating just about as much as most men would like to put their heads in a pan of boiling chip-fat. So it'll be a little while before herself treats me to some heels.... ;-)

So put succinctly, Mrs Freddy feels the partner to a man wearing heels is going to find the situation tolerable, or intolerable, based on how 'easy-going' the partner herself is, and how much she enjoys the relationship with the male heel wearer.

    ...

  12. Seems to be. Members post something most days.

Lets see if we add positive remarks to this thread and let the other (currently most read) post, sink to the bottom of the page? :-(

As I write, there are 36 'guests', and while some of these might be Yahoo or Google robots (3), most won't be. ;-) which means even occasional viewers are finding something here to read.

Time for some 'glass half full' comments! :(:D

  13. I almost chickened out, however i put them on and thought its not good been see hanging around a carpark i will walk towards the main well lit road, thinking i could always turn around, however in the end i did walk all the way home. hope i can do this more often.

    I know that feeling .... :( :-(

Well done. You're a great example to us all. ;-)

  14. We have been sharpening our focus on just where we are going with HHplace, just what we want it to be, etc. We have placed a link to H4M in the heading of the "For the Guys" forum, which may account for some of the increased traffic here.

I think that was a very good idea. :-( And certainly I've recognised some of the 'names' from HHplace arriving. But with the exception of HFMROK and Euchrid and some of the mods, few seem to have made many contributions here recently? ;-) The handful of new posters seem to be completely 'new' as it were?

  15. Isn't it funny how you start wearing heels in private and after experiencing the feelings an hour or so in the dark is just not enough? You want to wear them more, and in more situations. Which leads to a desire to wear them in normal, everyday situations. It seems to be a natural progression and a recurring theme.

There has never been truer words written (or spoken). ;-)

Gotta agree with you there. No matter how many times I tell myself it's just an indoor thing, I still have the urge to get outside and in public wearing heels.

And a small number of us are waiting to help you do that matey. :-(

  16. only a short flight away to london. I should be there again in a few weeks, however i wont get much time to play sadly.

The other thing that is putting me off is I'm at "" consultant and therefore work with a lot of clients, the last thing i want is clients having a problem with me and not getting work :(. (Its the kind of think you would hope wouldn't be a problem, and you never know how people will react).

But these things are all there to be overcome. Hopefully one day.

Shame you won't be meeting up. Perhaps another time? ;-)

Actually, you sound a bit like a friend I have in one of the financial sectors (maybe from your Island) who might have similar challenges in his field, were high heels an indulgence .....

I too share a similar problem, in that the people within my industry would not tolerate an active interest like mine if it were to become public. :-(

  17. Actually, its not the same, HHPlace is for anybody with an interest in heels at all, its not to promote heels 4 guys at all, thats what this place is for....

If that notion were promoted in HHplace, I'd expect a considerable increase in membership here.....

Not that this site isn't doing too badly on it's own. 100 new members in 3 months. Moving toward double that achieved in the previous two years. Something here must be working.

When I start taking pictures of my shoe/boot collection to link for the membership, and provide a reference listing on sizing, I'm fairly confident the site will see more traffic. ;-) If there's a single aspect of HHplace that differentiates itself, it's the pictures....

    .....

  18. I started my public heeling, by walking around at night when most sane folk were tucked up in bed. The frustration of the situation meant I progressed to wearing heels (but not stilletoes) out to large shopping malls and exhibition venues fairly soon afterwards.

I've worn stilletoes - once - along Oxford Street. Gaps in the pavement wrecked the heels, so I doubt I'll ever do that again. I own some stunning shoes and boots now, some with pencil thin heels, and I'm practically BURSTING to wear some of them out socially. While I could disguise the heel under long trousers, I could never disguise the change in the way I would have to walk in them.

    Gotta happen soon .....

    .....

  19. Sounds like there might be a big chunk of water between you and the mainland. No chance of you meeting up with any of us then, and enjoy the support of like minded people taking you out somewhere in heels?

If you do ever come over to London though ....

    .....

  20. But the re-composition is never as good as the original. I've been there myself.

Suggestion: If it is going to be a long piece, copy and paste the text into a text editor (like Wordpad if you use Windows or Kate if you use Linux with KDE) and save it as a local file. You can compose offline then copy and paste it back into the edit window when you want to post it.

Aaaah, 20/20 hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I had cut 'n' paste some of the content to Notepad, but then changed the whole bias of the post. I perhaps need to re-write it, and share Mrs Freddy's remarks.
