Selling Shoes And Boots
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heels for Men - High Heels for Sale
Shoes are listed, but still have a couple of piccies to do, and complete the text on one or two of the listings. There is one pair going for sensible money, with an un-sensible heel of 5" with no platform. Already have one buyer/bidder for these, who has offered to send me a cash payment ..... A fella, needless to say. Actually, just checked the same listing while writing, and a 2nd person has bid on them already .... Bearing in mind the goods the bidder sells, and the history of buying UK8/EU42 shoes and boots, I suspect it's another fella. -
My current favourite, and never seen worn anywhere, would be the red courts from Schuh. As my new avatar. Were we to meet for lunch and you were wearing such a shoe, it might be the longest working lunch you ever had?

A couple of feature video's, highlighting shoe designer Mihai Albu. He uses shoes/heels as a platform (sorry) for his art. These video's may not be office safe as they have noisy sound tracks. In fact, listening to the soundtrack on video 2 as I write, I think it's probably best if sound is turned off altogether. Also, since these are fashion shows, there might be one or two intentional 'indiscretions'. >> << >> << These are about footwear art. Itself a medium sometimes used to shock. If there is some chance you might be offended, please don't watch.

I get that with You Tube. OOTD type vid's. Everyone wants to be a performer. Thanks for looking though.
-
Add the airfare ..... ? In other circumstances [not flying] I would be more than happy to pay £150 for custom made boots.
-
Unless in a sale, out of my usual price range. Nice to window shop though. Block heels are getting more 'en vogue' I'm pleased to see. My fav's .......

Not a remark aimed at being married BTW, [or being married to the lovely Mrs Freddy], but the stress of a large-ish family wedding in a church. Not a problem if you are in your 20's, but I wasn't. In fact I was convinced I would remain a bachelor, until age slowed me down enough for cupid to get a better shot with his love bow. @shyguy. No indicator of the source for the 'wedding' shoes you linked earlier?

What Are The Do's And Do Nots When Wearing Heels
FastFreddy2 replied to Blacksheep's topic in Outfit critique
I'd like to see 30 contributors, full-stop. HHp takes a lot of interest, that might be more appropriate here. [Men in heels, and ONLY interested in wearing heels, not skirts and other feminine attire.] Traffic counts, so no surprise the draw is to a busier place? Plus there are a much larger number of female contributors there, and if there's one thing that's going to attract men interested in high heels, it's going to be a site where woman talk about/show their interest in heels. (Bees and honey-pot syndrome? ) Recently, H4M has been busier, but can the momentum be kept up? Many new (and older) members visit without contributing. Not sure why that is? If you have an interest in heels, you MUST have or see experiences of heels, on an almost daily basis. Not many reports about this though? I guess members believe their experiences would be of no interest? Can't see that myself, as I find entertainment in the most (seemingly) mundane encounter? .... -
What Are The Do's And Do Nots When Wearing Heels
FastFreddy2 replied to Blacksheep's topic in Outfit critique
Wow, big question. I'd think 30 different opinions, from 30 different people? Here's my go anyway. My lifetime experience from living in the UK, suggests bare feet are the only fashionable way to wear sandals. That would be with a heel, or without. Mrs Freddy also tends to wear bare feet in boots too, but that's more to do with comfort than fashion. I have seen sheer hose [so no reinforced toe] worn with some open toe shoes, but this would have been to give a better colour to pale legs or block imperfections in skin tone. What doesn't work for me, is kitten heels on shorter, wider people. In fact I'd offer kitten heels only work with slim long legs. Higher heels seem to infer a slimming look on wider people, For men, trousers or jeans flapping around ankles with all of their heeled shoe on show, ought to be an arrestable offence. In fact the only time it works for women, is with collettes. [Very baggy ladies trouser. Often made of something fluid, like linen.] I'm a traditionalist. Sandals in the rain don't work for me. Anything sparkly. Stupidly high platforms. Very nice boots, attractive rise. I would never be brave enough to wear any calf/knee boot, over my trousers or jeans. -
"Last minute" meeting around the UK?
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heelbucks chit chat Cafe
Was a 'brave soldier' in the morning, but not so brave later.... Mouth was very sore later in the day. Accidentally bit on the tooth, and hurt me for the first time in what might be nearly 3 weeks. Weather turned cooler, not least because some unexpected wind arrived and the Sun hid behind clouds for a couple of hours. On balance, I chickened out, and stayed home. If I went out to eat 30 miles from home and bit hard on a sore tooth, I'd be beside myself with pain. Best if I tried out the repair at home, close to a vast array of assorted painkillers and only 2 miles away from even better drugs at an A+E Department. A couple of days from now I'm hoping the tenderness will have gone. -
Although I had a size 8 in front of me (sold out of that size on-line), no point in trying them on... For obvious reasons.... From Schuh: And from the >> << (Edited by me.) Looks best when in Full-Screen mode. P.S. For completeness..... Reviews from buyers: ...........

Perfect shoes for a bride. If ever I'm stupid enough to go though that again ..... From where, please?

"Last minute" meeting around the UK?
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heelbucks chit chat Cafe
But sadly, I'm not. Root canal work for 45 minutes, starting at 10am tomorrow. This is hopefully a final solution to a toothache that nearly had me at an A+E for pain control 2 (or three) weeks ago. Dentist drilled out the inflamed nerve the following Tuesday, much to my relief. Going back tomorrow to have the (now calm) tooth completely cleaned out, packed and filled. Lucky me. Apparently an early/calm night is in order, as I've got to be a 'brave soldier' in the morning. -
In black patent. (Yeehah!) Silent short video clip: >> << And with repeat switched on. >> Clicky << .....

Another pair of my fav's. Wish I had bought a pair when they were available. [Duh!] NOT office safe. Sound is quite loud. >> << Very wearable by us men.

For mine too, but I'm not spending £600 on shoes I might see worn once. Plus they come up a bit narrow, so Mrs Freddy couldn't wear them anyway. If Steve Madden makes some that are similar, I might indulge herself. [s.M. come up a bit wider.] So, how do I 'embed' video's then?

Finally Some Pics Of My Newer Heels
FastFreddy2 replied to heelman500's topic in Heelbucks chit chat Cafe
Good to see some pictures, but they seem a bit small? (With my eyesight, I need BIG! ) I'm sure the ones you sent me, came up a good bit larger? -
From time to time I see video's of shoes, made specifically for retailing purposes. These might be mini-reviews, or short demo's of how shoes might look while being worn. They are not fetish or TV home grown's, but professional grade vid's aimed at potential customers. I've seen some good ones, and thought I might start a 'review' collection here, by way of a link repository. If I can work out how to embed them, it may be possible for browsing members to select those they'd like to watch without opening every one. [if any of you know how this is done and can provide guidance, please PM me.] I'm a Giuseppe Zanotti fan, so no surprises a style of his appears first. I saw these at Selfridges in the flesh. Stunning, but expensive. Enjoy. Single pass [office safe] 12 second video: >> << Using 'repeat' same video will keep playing until you stop it. >> Clicky << I will add to this thread regularly, I hope.

"Last minute" meeting around the UK?
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heelbucks chit chat Cafe
Despite Mrs Freddy fresh back from a week away and straight back into work (no rest day) looks like she is up for a flat-heeled Friday night out at the local pub-disco. She also seems to be up for a Saturday evening on the South Bank of the Thames. With me in heels, obviously. Mrs Freddy has a camera that works, and isn't bulky so hopefully, I'll be able to provide one or two pictures of me out and about in heels (finally). If anyone here is interested to join us, you'd be more than welcome. (Bit of an echo in this empty room? ) ...... -
Selling Shoes And Boots
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heels for Men - High Heels for Sale
Finally got another 'free' auction-style listing weekend from the auction site. Will get the balance of the summer shoes on for Sunday. Will send links to the UK residents that post here, so you can see what's on offer. Not expecting any of you buy, but mistakes are easier to spot if someone else is looking. -
Photo's ..... The Big Question.
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heelbucks chit chat Cafe
My mobile network rang yesterday to offer me a 'piggy-back' deal on my contract for a 2nd and/or third person. An offer I suppose is tilted toward spouse/children. While the contract is for 24 months [downer] the minutes on offer are good, plus a whole lots more than the Pay-As-You-Go minutes available for the same money. [£10]. So the contract is looking attractive. The real kicker, and reason for writing is the phone. This deal provides a 'free' (included) phone, and the one on offer is the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2. Not inspiring at all. BUT, for another £50 cash supplement, it may be possible to get Galaxy Ace 2, which seems to be a very nice camera phone. On a P-A-Y-G deal this were £250, now down to just over £200. The potential saving of £150 on that phone alone, pays for the second years connection, plus herself will be getting more for her £10 per month too. I know it's a woman way of looking at it, spending money to say money, but she does want a smart trendy phone. [bit of a snob is our Mrs Freddy. ] Reviews of the phone are unusually good. Comes with an older OS, but the later version known as "Ice Cream Sandwich" is apparently in the pipeline for the phone. But for the fact it would cost me £200 to buy, I'd be tempted myself. -
Given all the bird poop on the seat that jacket is pressed against, bit unlikely. Trousers are short, and look like they have a 'drain-pipe' cut, second strike for no. Shoes are platforms, third strike and 'out'. Seriously? Health and Safety would prevent it, even if I tried. Working in a shoe shop (showing off stock) or another another retail situation, a woman might get away with simply because stopping it might be more trouble than it was worth (to the management.) I'm not sure where a man might work (other than identical situations) and where high heels wouldn't present a H+S conflict. For example: were a high heeled wearing woman to have a work related accident and the employer could show that heels were a contributing factor, where would that leave the injured party? At Mrs Freddy's place of work, there is a heel limit. (Which I think is less than 3 inches.) Staff are also being encouraged (pressured) into wearing safety shoes with hidden metal toe-caps that are designed to help prevent foot injuries. Although she doesn't often work on the shop floor, this is in a clothing retail store. Anyone other than contracted-in staff, would be sent home if they arrived in 5 inch platform shoes. The contracted-in staff are supposed to adhere to the store employee rules, but I've seen at least one wearing 4 inch heels. [Working for a well known brand name on a cosmetics counter.] If I worked away from home, and was about to lose my job, [through something like business closure], I might be tempted. But at an ongoing situation, very very unlikely.

Selling Shoes And Boots
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heels for Men - High Heels for Sale
I'd mentioned that I had a count up, since I'd sold a few [30] pairs ..... Freddy shoe Audit. Four categories ..... Each a bit broader to keep it realistic. Courts and Mules. 15 pairs (mostly unused). Incredibly 9 to keep, and 6 to sell. 4 'keep' pairs, are the Schuh Lois. (I must have this number the wrong way around surely? ) Ankle and shoe boots. 51 pairs in total (51! ) 34 to keep, with perhaps 7 or 8 pairs worn. 17 pairs to go, mostly unworn. This includes several styles where I have multiples. One style x2 another x2, one x6. As with the 'to go' pairs. One x3 another x5. Calf height. Says here, 5 pairs to keep? Long (knee) boots. 6 in total. 5 to keep and 1 to sell on. In the keep set, 2 styles with 2 pairs each are included. The pair to sell are some I forgotten about. Think that comes in at 77 pairs. That makes 24 pairs to sell. [One pair already gone.] Never let it be said, I'm a collector. My problem is, I buy/use a pair I really like, and think they'll never be another pair I like so much. So I then go empty the shop of that style. I don't wear my way through them, and then another (replacement) best-liked-pair comes along.... I'm learning though. Bought about two pairs this year, with one already sold on. One pair in 8 months. Well done me. -
The Freddy house remains a building site. Most of my jeans are in plastic boxes, filed away with my shoes. I've bought another couple of pairs of trousers/jeans at silly prices [£4-99 each] recently, in the Marks and Spencer Outlet sale. One pair, a particularly good find as they came with 34" inside leg. Great if I ever want to wear higher/thinner heels. I decided to consolidate my 'pending use' trousers. I was surprised at what I have, and that I continue to look for more! Like my shoe buying, this has to stop until I start to wear some so much they need replacing. I have approximately 11-12 pairs of longer legged [34"] straight leg jeans, and trousers. If I remember, most [more than 50%] cost me less than £4 each, though two pairs were £12 each. One pair of M+S trousers, were £20. And worth it if I ever wear the them! My most comfortable, preferred jeans, circa £3, and again from an M+S Outlet Clearance sale. I would buy more and pay full price if they made them again. Flared jeans, I have around 5 or 6 pairs. Again, typically £10 or less. A pair I found that weren't quite 33" leg, had a reduced label on at £2-50, which explains why I bought them. I may sell some on an internet auction site. I have too many .... ?

You'll need to stay away from Schuh then? Very unwearable. But stunningly attractive.
