Nose job? Hadn't noticed the need for one. (Though I seldom trouble to look above her shoulders anyway. ) As for people being stupid ....... there are absolutely no boundaries to the stupid-ness some folk can achieve. Trying to take shoes with (ornamental) guns attached to them through airport scanners, being an obvious example? I'm sure you've seen the video compilations on You Tube, but if you haven't, type "Fail", and see the results. Here's another one from the D.M. today ...... >> Clicky << As with Tara, money and 'sense' don't always travel together ....

Well, if your new avatar is your new heels, I don't blame you for not wanting to take them off! And yes, she would notice, and I wouldn't blame her for commenting. (Hopefully on your good taste? )

Oddities - Fun And Different Heels You'd Probably Never Wear
FastFreddy2 replied to shyguy's topic in Shoe Critique
Yes. (Of course). I'm never gonna own a pair, sadly. They'll likely go on sale at £75, and last knockings (last few on restricted size range), they may go for £50. I really like them, but it's bad enough having pricey boot styles I won't wear, without adding pricey courts or sandals too. I've recently added to the sandals and courts not going to be worn out [4 pairs] but none of them were more than a £5 in the sales. Thanks for the details though ..... Will add them to my watch list - when they arrive on the web site. -
Another act of stupidity perhaps? >> Clicky << At best, rather naive surely?

You people be careful out there! Been there, done most of that ....... >> Clcky << Broke the heel on some boots a little over 2 years ago tripping on the stairs (in poor light). It was cold, but I wasn't daft enough -nor would I ever be- to have my hands in my pockets. As it was, I could have broken an arm putting it out in front of me to break my fall, so maybe a broken nose isn't so bad? Don't have recent figures, [2002] but reported stairway falls run into tens of thousands, with unreported estimates running into hundreds of thousands. Can you be too careful on a stairway?

I'm dead jealous you've had such a good weekend out shoe shopping. Bet I'm not the only one either! Those 4" matt courts (from Primarni?) are a very good choice. Good price too!

I'm not so sure. You 'wiped-the-floor' with me this weekend. I know it's completely unrealistic, but I'd gladly work your shifts to see what you see. Perks of the job or what? -
My money is on .... Think she likes being in control ... in a nice way.

"Last minute" meeting around the UK?
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heelbucks chit chat Cafe
I too decided against the West End, due to the weather. Although we weren't supposed to have any today (having been promised some in yesterdays forecast) it snowed again this morning. Obviously the weather wasn't on the circulation list of the revised forecast. I'm still looking for an opportunity to get out very soon. Brent Cross is okay for a short visit, but Westfield has lots more going on and closes at 10pm. -

I've a lot of time for the same idea. When I was younger, I used to go clubbing quite a bit. Unlike many other white men 'of the day', I could dance well enough to compete with some of my black friends. I remember well a little 'inter-town' competition we had at a club in Luton called Sands. We would go on the free night (or cheap night) that wasn't a Friday or Saturday, when most young people would go out for a drink and the chance to 'pull' other young people. We were there for the music and the dancing. So the comp was friendly, and a laugh. Luton had a good girl dancer, we didn't. No matter what we did, it wasn't possible to beat a girl dancing, because she's a girl. It just looks better. Same with heels I guess. Although I have more girlie feet than many girls I know, I'm a size 8, and I've got man shaped legs. Any heels I wear would most likely look better on a woman or girl, simply because they have a better (more aesthetically pleasing) overall shape. I've never been into any sort of spectator sport. If I can't participate, I've no interest at all. My heels still look good though (or I wouldn't wear them), and they feel shedloads better than a flat shoe - which I don't enjoy wearing ever. I'd like to be surrounded by good-looking women with high heels, wouldn't we all? But as you drinking buddy will find as he ages, opportunities for such situations don't go on forever...... Unless your name is Hugh Hefner. -
"Last minute" meeting around the UK?
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heelbucks chit chat Cafe
Having (regretfully) dismissed myself from a day out today, I had thought I might try to meet up? It's not really stopped snowing here, and Mrs Freddy has already suggested we might not travel tomorrow at all, as a consequence. She's aware I need some playtime, and has not been resistant to us going in opposite directions tomorrow, if weather allows. Looks like it'll snow more tonight, so I'm not holding my breath. I wiped 4 inches of snow off the car earlier, hoping subsequent flurries would be less reluctant to settle on the car if it were wet. Just looked outside. Not only has snow settled on my car (again), but the roads that were clear at 4pm, now have a covering of snow on them. From a Daily Mail article. Direct link >> here << Jury is out. -
I think you have that right. Wonder why.

My personal experience suggests not. With a single notable exception (a slim pretty girl of 5' 9" with the body of a lingerie model who couldn't wear a heel) all of my girlfriends have worn heels. Even the lovely Mrs Freddy, with a heel collection that would put ALDO, KG and many others to shame, there was no stopping the inevitable return of my interest. Possibly, if we went out more socially with her in a high heel, my interest may have been kept subdued. But that's a big ask from a middle aged couple, with one of them up for full-time work at 5.15am every weekday. I couldn't do that, unless I stayed up all night, as I sometimes do. (Apprentice vampire, me. No good with this 'up with the larks' nonsense. ) The fella you chatted to in the pub sounds interesting. I wonder, did he know what got him into liking the look of a high heel? -
100% agree with every remark. And I still buy shoes, just because I like the look and feel of them .... I'll never wear some of them, but ...

I remember the second pair as being an Yves St. Laurent "Cage Heel" style of 2 or 3 years ago. The first pair, rather sadly, I'm quite taken with..... Any details for them? -
"Last minute" meeting around the UK?
FastFreddy2 replied to FastFreddy2's topic in Heelbucks chit chat Cafe
Been snowing here for about 10 hours now. It's light, and falling on wet roads so it's not building up. About an inch deep on grass, but it can't stay as it's a tad too warm. More on the way, so staying in, again. Going a bit 'stir crazy'. Visiting family tomorrow, so adventures out this weekend..... -
"Last minute" meeting around the UK?

The weather here remains too gloomy for me to take quality photo's of the shoes. As the styles in question are sandals and courts, I'd shaved my legs in anticipation of doing the photo's. [something I haven't done for some considerable time.] That was a couple of weeks ago, and waiting for some brighter weather to enable the use of higher ISO and smaller f-stop, the hair has grown back. Just to put our weather into perspective...... It's officially Spring here in the UK. Today and tomorrow, the upper two thirds of the UK will be getting snow, and no small amount of it. The lower third is just getting a lot of rain. There's already been flooding there, and one poor soul lost her life after her home suffered from a landslide. This time last year, we were talking about the continuing water draught, and were walking around in T-shirts already. Weeks later in April, someone opened the tap and it hasn't stopped being wet since. Sure we had a 3 week dry spell ..... But it didn't stop some areas still recording the wettest months since records began. [About 150 years.] Don't know about others, but I have little interest in venturing out while it's either pouring down with monsoon grade rain, or snowing. It's really stifling my heel wearing in public? -

In another life I used to be a production welder. Not only an ugly shoe (might look better in white), but very very very poor quality workmanship. "Shoddy" comes to mind. -
Stunning, STUNNING shoes. Outfit looks well put together, colour accents very good. Be nice to see a shot of you standing, though given how tall you'll be, we might lose the top half of you?
-
Sounds good. And welcome back.
