Heels were also a part of it for me. When stiletto heels came BACK into fashion in the 80s (they were the norm for women in the 60s) I realized I could have the best of both worlds.

I got the urge at a very young age. As a child of the 70s, seeing all the women walking around in knee high boots made me a tad jealous, I have to admit.

I will probably try newspaper or some other kind of light fabric. It should help them keep their shape.

5 inch heels are definitely my "comfort zone" these days. The boots in my avatar have 5 inch heels and they're my most comfortable pair.

I have an old pair of Pleaser Domina 3013 thighboots (which Pleaser discontinued a few years back) with six inch heels that I occasionally bring back out. I can still walk in them, but not as easily as I could in younger days. Admittedly, the 7 inch heels would just be a novelty at this point in my life.

Could someone suggest a method of storing thighboots other than folding them back into the box when they're not being worn? I have some older pairs that have started to crack and tear along the fold line over time. I just need a way to help the shafts maintain their shape.

I am referring to OTK boots, actually. Almost all of my boots are of that type. Now that you mention it, adding some knee or ankle boots to my collection would make things more comfortable in the warmer months.

As far as "casual" heeled boots are concerned, 70°F is my time to stop wearing boots. It's when the perspiration comes into play. Makes wearing boots a little uncomfortable when it's that warm.

I would like to try a pair of THESE, from Refuse To Be Usual. 7 inch heels, but they look worth it.
