Another. By now, many of you have probably figured out I'm "boot crazy". Here's Hillary Duff. This young woman wears boots much of the time. Even in the warmer seasons. I admire her dedication.

Oops. Wasn't aware of this development. It always seemed like 5 inch heels were the LOWEST heels she wears. It's like she's always walking around tiptoe.

If you want to research someone else who is always tipping around in ridiculously high heels, look no further than Victoria Beckham. One example....

Alas, it's doubtful that men wearing high heels will ever become the norm, especially here in the U.S., where the perception of "masculinity" seems to be set in stone.

I understand. Unfortunately, we all are walking a fine line as far as acceptance is concerned, because high heeled footwear is commonly associated with women.

I'm guessing you're referring to the pics of Patrik. I'm primarily a "boots" person, so the second pic doesn't do much for me. But the outfit with the yellow boots, I like.

Something about platforms always seems like "cheating" to me.

Another. Canadian punk musician-DJ Plastik Patrik. This guy always performs in very high heeled stiletto boots, and maintains an androgynous vibe most of the time. Even when not performing, he wears heels in public.

This is Lawrence Washington, aka "Miss Lawrence". A hairdresser to the the celebrities, from Atlanta, Georgia here in the U.S. . A free spirit who doesn't really subscribe to either gender, he is always in heels, and rocks some great boots much of the time. He possesses a courage in the public eye that is inspiring to me.

I long for a time when men wearing high heeled footwear publicly is not so taboo. But until then, I will have and wear my boots ANYWAY. ;-)

First of all, these legs belong to Victoria Beckham, who always seems to tip around in the highest heels possible. Pretty sure these are Louboutins, and once again, if they would make them in my size, I would make it my goal to own a pair. You all have probably figured out by now that I LOVE high heeled boots. Guilty pleasure....

Admittedly, there is something I have always found aesthetically pleasing about the combination of a pointed toe and a stiletto heel on footwear.

Saw these on eBay. Made by a company called 1969? If they made these in my size, I would LIVE in them. LOL

I seem to be perpetually single. :-) So I don't have to worry about this topic. At the moment.

It occurred to me recently that I have more boots than I THOUGHT I had. :-) And many of them just aren't in very good shape now. AND they were taking up closet space. I'm just working toward having a smaller collection and taking better care of it.

Oh no, haven't even ordered those yet. They will be part of the "new".

Spending the morning going through my boot collection. A lot of boots that are more than a little worn out and I just don't wear anymore. In the process of downsizing my collection.

I will OCCASIONALLY order a custom pair. Admittedly, my boot collection is getting on the old and tattered side, and it's time to bring it down to a few pair that I'm really comfortable with.

They certainly aren't cheap, but custom made boots are something I only indulge in occasionally.

Not yet. But soon, hopefully. I might actually see if they can make the shaft of the boot a few inches taller.
