As an American, all I can say is, the damage done by the Trump administration may NEVER be repaired. His almost cult-ish followers are a frightening bunch. And he STILL has many supporters in Congress. Hopefully the Biden administration will actually be able to get things done in the next 4 years.

Well, they're here. They're a little snug, fit-wise, but not uncomfortably so. I will post pics as soon as I figure out how to make the files fit. I can't get the site to accept my photos at the moment.

I'm very curious to see how they turn out. I have had good and not-so-good experiences with Chinese-made boots. Sometimes the quality is great, sometimes it's............ lacking.

Have a pair of these on the way from AliExpress. It's been kind of hit or miss with AliExpress in the past, but they have a big selection oh high heeled boots in large sizes. Never done the chunky heel thing before, so I thought I would give it a try.

I have what is considered an "essential" job, so I'm still going in to work. I live alone, so the whole "isolation" thing is just life as usual for me. We've been taking the necessary precautions at work for weeks and everyone has remained healthy so far.

Since I started this thread, I guess I'll speak up. It DOES seem that there are only 3 or 4 of us paying attention here at this site. Admittedly, I still check daily. Not really sure why this place has turned into a ghost town.......

I've known about this company for a while. I will definitely give them a try in the near future.

This company has been on my radar for a few years now. They will probably be my fist "custom" order. Sometime soon, I might add.

I actually have been considering going the "made to measure" route with new boots. There are few shops out there who do it. It costs a little more, but it seems worth it to have boots that fit comfortably.

Okay. I'll go first. Just recently had a health issue/scare that caused some swelling in my feet and legs. As a result, I couldn't get my any of my heeled boots on, even without socks. The health issue was addressed, and with medication, the swelling has gone down considerably. But not guite enough for the boots to fit properly. It's looking like the swelling will be completely gone soon. But the whole situation has me humbled. It did make me seriously consider giving up my boots obsession for good.

It looks that way. Unfortunately.

I find myself wondering how Victoria Beckham and Celine Dion will get around when they get into their older years. They are always wearing incredibly high heels. I wonder what kind of toll it is taking.

Celine is looking alarmingly gaunt, these days. She never was a heavy woman, but she's not looking very healthy lately. I understand she is still grieving, but it almost looks like there may be a health issue as well.....

After a long, hot, tiresome summer, I'm very ready for the cooler temperatures of fall and winter. My first public outing in heels will probably take place, so there's that too.

I know what you mean about being fit and working in the heat (I'm in my early 50s and live in Texas). Keep us posted on the photography project.
