  1. Miltboot, I have not worn those OTK boots since outdoors, only couple of time indoors.

hh4evr1 and Love4heels, thanks, I feel very comfortable with those boots, they are masculine enough not to attract any unwanted attention. People see them but go on their own business' without reactions.

ff2, I agree on your points. Every outing and post about it counts and encourages others to try maybe someday something similar on their own.

And to keep it on the out and about topic, today I wore the same new ankle boots to toys'r'us and hardware store. Got some looks but no comments. I was there with two of our kids and my wife. She took picture from behind me not knowing it. Later she shared the pic with me :)

What a great picture! Those heels look great with your jeans, masculine and powerful, could be worn proudly most anytime...Anyone that might take a second glance would be doing so out of admiration!

  2. I like the idea of "member meet up"...I travel the US alot and am always looking to meet up/hang out with other hiheel boot guys...Guys that are interested could add their name to a database specific to their location...I often feel uncomfortable asking other members if they are interested in meeting up, having a forum like "member meet up" would ensure that I don't bother guys who are uncomfortable or uniterested.....Don

  3. Had a great day in Seattle! Even though I was not able to meet up with a local bootbud for pictures...

Wore my 4" boots, out and about, probably walked about 3 miles total, up and down hills and stairs...I even wore my boots to the local Eagle bar, nobody noticed probably because it is dark in there. Really felt great, my confidence is slowly increasing, inhibitions slowly fading...

Wanted to try my 5" crotch boots this morning for a short walk, in the hopes all my 4" experience translated into increased 5" abilities...Oh well, managed a stroll around the block in my 5"ers, but am still not proficient enough to pull it off confidently...These boot heels are not the strong, so could feel them flexing around a bit. Was also self concious because of my self imposed "small foot complex", thinking others were noticing. I need to look for 5" boots with a slight platform that will cushion my feet slightly. I also need to find pointed toe 5" boots so my feet won't appear to be so small when covered in levis...

Nonetheless, a GREAT day in my 4" boots...Don

  4. I got a great pair of thrift store boots a few weeks back! Only four inch boots, but so easy to walk in...Going down one inch in heel size has allowed me to walk in my boots with confidence publicly. Although I do admit that most of the heels are hidden under my levis, being out publicly in my boots is so liberating for me. I strolled into a str8 bar with no problems, even ran into a few of my crewmembers in the hotel lobby, they didn't notice either! They just assumed I was wearing my usual cowboy boots!

Admittedly, I didn't try the boots on in the store...Took the $10 risk and am sooooo happy I did!

    Don

  5. I wish I could provide concrete answers, or opinions to your questions...There are so many variables, especially the build and swagger of the man wearing the heels...

Anyway, I would agree that bare feet or hose/tights are best for heels, no socks..

Some guys, especially tall men, with long legs and a swimmer's build, can pull off most looks effortlessly....Then, there is the rest of us guys, who don't quite fit into that category. So, all I can say here is that what might work fine for one man, can not look so good on another...Wish I could be more concrete, but there are hundreds of variables that affect the look...

To me, most guys look better in jeans with heels, but that is just my opinion...In any event, the jeans must fit correctly, and be the proper length, or they can really detract for his appearance in heels..Like FF has said, very loose jeans that are too short are usually a no no...

Seasons, hmmm. Oh well, I'm sure there are seasonable looks, I just wear my boots and jeans the same way all year...

As for "no nos", again the variables are so many that it is hard to even generalize...Again, usually only slender tall guys can pull off extremely feminine looks successfully. So, the rest of us kind of need to be able to blend our heels with more masculine attire.

  6. Hey guys. I love hiheel boots of all types. Spiked heels, block heels, cowboy boots, all great! I wear size 10 mens US, 11-12 in women's boots. I usually wear my boots under levis, but sure hope to gain more confidence and be able to wear my boots more publicly. I travel the US alot for the airlines and am always looking for booted guys to meet up with...Would like to get more pictures taken as well... Will be in Toronto a few times in August as well...

  7. Yeah buddy, it is kind of tough for us to advise you, especially at work. We don't know what the work atmosphere is like...But, it sounds like you have a good plan in place...

I bought a pair of 4" boots at a thrift store the other day, covered them up with my levis and headed out...Went to the gas station, took a tour through Walmart and the food store...It really felt great to be in my boots publicly, the four inch heels were easy to walk in too...

Let us know how you make out at work...Does your wife like how you look in your boots?
