I would love to be able to wear those leather pants, but don't have the best/longest legs.

Great  boots

Those boots are very stealthy!  Must feel great to wear them anywhere.

I'd love a pair of tight fitting lace-up leather crotch boots with a 5½" stiletto heel, with laces from toe to top ensuring the boots were secure and TIGHT all the way up my legs. As I've mentioned before, I have legs like beanstalks, so they'd have to be hand-made, the cost of which would put them out of my reach ....

 

I've not seen anything in recent years that I could use to demonstrate the look, so I may need to dig out an old 'glamour' mag. 

 

Modern designs seen to use tough leather (or unforgiving plastic) with lacing holes set too far apart, leading to unattractive creases and gaps, not the look I would be happy with if spending several hundred pounds on something I might wear as a treat perhaps once a month or every other month....

 

 

I do like the sneakers from Dinsko. Even without knowing they have a heel, they look good. 

I suffer from beanstalk leg syndrome as well!

Well, while the lace up boots might require some time/effort, it is totally worthwhile if those boots make you feel good and confident.

Would LOVE a pair of Nike wedge sneakers.

I hear ya buddy!  I get so frustrated finding boots I would like, but way too small....Would have had to add a wing to the house for all the boots I would have bought...

Those boots and jeans look great!  Amazingly powerful and masculine...

I wore my boots out last weekend to a bar in NYC, no one else there in boots, no one said anything as well...

Yeah, little kids usually just say whatever they feel...The positive outcome here is that the little guy obviously LIKED the way the boots looked on you!

Seems like he is probably an insecure type that silently fears that he himself might be interested in wearing heels, oh well just a theory....

In any event, while you should respect your sister's situation, don't let this fellows insecurities "bully" you into not wearing the footwear you normally wear to family functions (not held at your sister's home)....

I know, much easier said then done....I should practice what i preach!

On the other hand, I wouldn't deviate from whatever footwear you normally wear to such events just to keep your brother in law quiet...

Yes, the husband would be my guess as well....What ashame.  But, you must understand that she is caught in the middle of two people she loves and cares about...So, it is probably best to comply with her request. 

I'm confused.  Did you discuss heels with your sister in the past, and now she has decided she doesn't want to continue?  Or, do you both share a love of heels, but she never knew that you shared the same interests...

And patience is a virtue!  I get so frustrated when I get new pair with 5" heels, but can't walk very well for long distances!  Like you both say, start lower, and get plenty of miles on them so the transition will be easier...Unfortunately, the fit of a particular pair makes all the difference...

That surely is a great accomplishment!  Walking through the airport is almost like being on parade, because of all the folks sitting along the side of the halls just watching people go by!  Great job, especially climbing up and down the steps to the plane!
