Hope to see you in DFW sometime!

Yeah buddy, can't wait!
-
Sounds great, good for you!

Our cats have a strange attraction to bleach! I don't know if it is like cat nip to them...We have to be so careful when cleaning, am so afraid they might lick it up...
The oldest of three loves olives, doesn't really eat them, just rolls in them...I guess like catnip..
The youngest little girl loves barbecue chips also..
I thought that oranges were harmful to cats, better be careful letting yours eat mandarin oranges...
Now, we are trying to find a Trap/neuter/return organization to stop the feral population explosion in the neighborhood...
The oldest of 15yrs belongs to my partner, it will be very tough when he passes...
-
I almost tripped on a Ft. Worth layover last week! Somehow saved myself before falling...
-
You have an amazing wife that really loves you, take good care of her!
-
One pair buried in a tote with many pairs of cowboy boots. Another pair is in my flight bag so I have them for layovers. Another pair is tucked carefully under the front seat of my car for driving back and forth to work. And there are a few pairs stored away in the basement...
-
Mine are tucked away, unfortunately...

Great boots
-
Yes, that was my post...This is an older relationship, but my love of boots has been with me since boyhood...MY mistake was not to disclose my love of boots early on in our relationship...May I ask, Is this an older relationship that began before your interest in heels, or one that started afterward? While your partner might not contribute directly, an indicator of your circumstances (no detail) could be just as helpful?
If I remember, weren't you wearing 5" heels at a gas station not so long ago? Hopefully I have that right ....
-
The visible heel is a must, yes...But, not all cirucmstances allow it...So, being able to have a hidden heel and feel great is certainly a welcome alternative!
-
Did the doctor compliment your boots?
-
I'm glad you had a positive experience with your sisters! Overcoming that percieved "barrier" must have given you more confidence!
-
I can only wish my partner could contribute here...Unfortunately, he has no tolerance for my hiheeled cowboy boots, much less my Jessica Simpson boots...
-
Wish I had great legs like yours, then I would love to be locked in those heels
-
Definitely not Nick's first time in heels...It's nice that he has a girl friend who appreciates how nice he looks....
-
My first experience was when I was quite young...My sister had a pair of red go go boots...Couldn't wait to be alone at home, so I could wear them..It's been boot love ever since...
-
I finally got a pair of Jessica Simpson boots! There is a guy who wears them on Youtube that turned me on to the brand...
All leather, substantial/sturdy 5" heels, great looking, and super easy to walk in...
Can't wait to wear them to the hotel bar tonight!

Great job! I like the tall boots, or the cowboy boots! I applaud your resolve to "push on" in spite of some less than positive reactions. As for the wonderful sales clerk, write a note to her boss so she will know that her great people skills are appreciated. I had a similarly positive experience at Payless, I had ordered the boots online and was to pick them up in this store...Seems like their computer system is fouled up and got the size all wrong...The sales girl was happy to spend a little time with me and help find an alternative, but all too small...
As for the rude middle eastern woman, she was probably just jealous cuz you looked so good in the boots!
-
Both pairs are great...Give yourself some credit for trying the boots on in the store in front of another customer!! Did she say anything to you while you were trying them on?? Don

Well, the heels were pretty well covered by my uniform pants...I will compliment myself when I can wear my boots under tight levis with most of the heels showing! Thanks for the encouragement...DWetboot, I think you have found the most important key for beeing out and about in heels; you act normal, no need for beeing nervous, stand your ground with good confidence... and people around will act normal as well! Very good to hear of your successful outing in heels.
And I must admit that going out wearing 5" heels is not 'baby steps' in my vocabulario!

Jinx-
Just wanted to thank you for all your encouragement....You are so fortunate to have such an accepting wife, but I realize that you know that already...
I slipped into my 5" calf boots for the ride home from the airport/work...I do NOT like the way my boots look with my uniform pants, but wore them anyway so I could enjoy driving in them...Stopped for gas, first I heard one fellow that seemed to be asking me a question as he walked closer...I stood my ground, didn't flinch or get nervous, he was simply asking about the location of the local police station...
As I was finishing up fueling, another guy walked up to me that was asking some question! He was asking about directions to a highway, told him I was headed on that exact route and to follow me...Again, wasn't nervous, and stood my ground without retreating! What a great feeling!
Secretly wondered if either of these two guys had noticed my boots...I wished I was wearing my jeans, because I don't like the way my uniform pants look over my boots...
But, nonetheless, a successful experience....Thanks for all your support!
"Baby steps" for me I guess, but progress....D

Sounds like fun, good for you!!

Those boots look GREAT....Perfect for all around wear. A nice compromise between the killer stilettos you may really want to wear and not wearing boots at all. Those boots will look fine under a pair of jeans allowing you to go most anywhere without attracting unwanted attention. I'm sorry to hear about the wife, I have the same problem with my partner. I also know there is no way I can deny my love of boots.
