Well, we went and apparently I had understood something wrong. When we looked around and couldn't find the model I had seen online, I said I'll ask the clerk and my wife said that she didn't want me to buy them for me... Back to square one.

Bigger store didn't have them either. Wife suggested we try a different chain though.

The closest store didn't have them But when I told my wife, she said that we'll go to the other, bigger one on Thursday, and that we'll take her pair and mine at the same time.

They are just meant for home use but it's a step forward. I do have to buy her a pair as well in the other color, but that's small price to pay.

I've been wearing my wife sandal once in a while around the yard because: -I like to wear them -they are comfortable -they are close by the door -they are easier to put on/remove than my shoes A whole bunch of reasons. Thanks for the thought... I might have taken you up on that offer. But wow, Madrid is shoe store city!!! Not much pics (of shoes), although my wife would have found it funny, but we certainly visited a lot of them! Styles and colors we don't see on our side of the pond. Had a great time.

I was at work and took an extended lunch for some errands. Since I was passing by the mall and the boots were still in my car, I stopped. It wasn't planned ahead of time. Hence the slowing down... Maybe eventually, but even if she knows about my interest for heels and sometimes lets me try her heels when they are new, I don't think going out with me in heels would fly. It was my birthday recently and I did have a pair of Pleaser's Seduce boots in my wishlist Not me.

So I did it again. Went to the department store wearing my black somewhat skinny jeans meaning that the bottom of the jeans bunched up at the top of the heels, so they were VERY visible. Didn't stay long, but browsed a bit and certainly used the tiled store alley a lot more. I believe a few people noticed but only one woman, who was already looking at the floor while walking and looked up a bit when she heard the clicking on the heels, she she the heels, gazed up and just as I passed her I actually saw the question marks in her eyes and she started to turn her head around. Baby steps, but I think I'll slow down. Since I don't have full approval of my wife, it would be bad to be caught in public. I did it. I went to a big department store, located in a mall but it had dedicated entrances. I put my on ankle boots in the car, crossed the parking and entered. Browsed a bit between the racks of clothing. Picked a couple items and went in line to pay at the cash. All in all, uneventful. It was great !!

So I had taken my boots (from this thread Boots from Yellow Shoes) with me. Actually drove a bit with them on my feet, wasn't too bad but I'd need more practice. So I parked my car and wanted to go to a shoe store. I did take a few steps outside my car in the parking lot but I had to cross a pretty wide road to reach the store and with lots of people there, I chickened out. Maybe another time.
