  1. Stopped at a big department store that usually carries low price stuff. They are apparently the exclusive resellers of Alfred Sung PURE line of shoes...

Not too expensive 30 to 50 dollars. Here's a picture of 3 of the 4 models I tried earlier today. Again, didn't buy anything as I have yet to have this approved by the Significant Other. :)

The other model I tried is a bit similar to this, without the studs, in light brown leather, higher on the ankle and a thicker but lower heel. Well, reading this it's not similar at all... :D

Edit: this is more like the style I tried:

  2. I replied previously, but found these. I wore it on a business trip up north recently when the weather was cool and loved it. I only wish that the toe opening was a little more generous. I was the target of many "looks" from many men and several women, but unable to decide if it was the boot and toes itself or that I use crutches and in a heel. Nonetheless, I felt very good in it.

    I love them E!

  3. Yet another location this morning. It was somewhat quiet and only a few female customers walked by. The salesclerk barely glanced at me let alone the shoes I was trying on. There was one older woman though who asked a question to the salesclerk and then saw me with the grey boots on. She said "Oh my God" but that was it.

For the pictures, picture 02, was the first pair I tried in a previous post on this thread. Very comfortable.

Picture 03 was quite high and the style was lovely. Would be great with some jeans.

Picture 04 had a very low heel and felt a bit weird to with after the previous pair. It felt like the heel was absent.

Picture 05 didn't fit so well, it was a bit tight and I actually had a harder getting the left on. They are just below the knee.

  4. Well ..... I went.

was waiting for the airplane confirmation...

    Started off in TKMaxx.

Spied some Guess ....... black suede ankle boots. Although the store was busy, and busiest around the shoe areas, I attempted to try them on. huh.gif Couldn't get them past my skinny ankle! blink.gif

    I like them.

Also found some really really high heeled knee boots. With a surprising price sticker ...... ohmy.gifohmy.gif

Hey that's close to 75% off! You didn't buy them? That's some control. :P

I did get one of the boots on [daren't put them both on] but couldn't get it off. unsure.gifbiggrin.gif Took me what seemed like 5 minutes, but may have been a minute, to tug the thing off. Thought I was going to have to buy them because it was locked on. Went on easy enough? wink.gif

Haha, would've been a better story if you had to ask a nice young sales lady to help you :)

Moved on to Matalan, and tried on >> these << Nice fit, but ...... no sale.

they have slight pirate look to them. I like them as well and the price is pretty good as well.

Tried House of Fraser ..... then about 10 stores that sold shoes. No inspiration. Got a size 7 on my foot [from the size 8 rack] in Debenhams, and almost immediately ended up on my backside skating on the shiny floor ....

Almost came a cropper in NEXT too. Walking around the shoe area which was covered in very deep pile carpet, a moments distraction [watching someone watching me] had my left ankle on its side. Classic heeling error. Fortunately, the soft carpet also allowed me to straighten my ankle without injury. Other than the blush due to my error. biggrin.gif

As long as you didn't hurt yourself.

Saw >> these << and >> these << but they're not really styles I enjoy wearing. [Platforms. wink.gif]

The second pair seems super high but I prefer it's style over the first.

Think I was there from about 2.30pm until around 9.30pm, wearing my Harley Davidson boots. Had hardly any sitting down time, so on my feet for a good six hours. Oddly it was knees that began complaining .... Getting old maybe? %7Boption%7Dhttp://www.heels4men.net/public/style_emoticons/]

the whole I read I was saying to myself, "what's he wearing?"

    Thanks for sharing.

  5. I went back to the store, but at a different location. They have short benches to sit down and put the shoes, one per alley. However, not all alleys have mirrors. The one bench with a mirror just beside it was occupied by two girls of about 17-18. They had a pile of shoes... It took me a lot of time to gather up the courage because they were also a lot of people around, but I decided to go through it. I had two pairs I wanted to try. I took the bench next to the girls but still about 12 feet away. I removed my shoes and thick socks and put on the first pair of heels, a 5 inch peep toe in a gray shade. The alley in front of my bench didn't have any mirrors, the next alley towards the girls had a mirror but at the other end, about 25 feet and with a lady and her man just beside it. The only possibility, the one next to the girls. The first girl was on the bench, the other in the second alley.

To get to the mirror, I had to pass inches in front of the girl which was tying shoes. My heeled feet passed about 8 inches from her feet and hands. I know she noticed, well, they had noticed the heels in my hands before I started trying them on. I thus passed in front of the girl, and looked at my feet in the mirror for a good 20-30 seconds before walking back to my bench. Still didn't buy anything but it was a great shopping trip :)

  6. I think I'm going crazy to have had the courage, or crazyness, to do this. My wife is out of town. It's hockey night meaning everyone is watching TV. I put on my wife 3 1/2 inch boots and walk for a short walk with the dog. Oh my goodness, what a thrill! To hear the sound of the heel on the pavement, it sounded so loud! I was nervous to encounter someone but no one crossed my path. I saw a couple walking in the same direction on the other sidewalk and they were about 150 meters (500ft or so) in front of me.

And I thought I could handle heels but this 10 minutes walk and I certainly could feel my feet!

Below are the boots I wore.

    Things I learned:

1- I need to take smaller strides.

2- Swaying the hips a bit certainly improves the walk.

    3- I'm crazy

    Things I know:

1- My wife would kill me.
