  1. ok, so far so good, I've enabled "Automatic approval of gallery comments, but if it turns into some sort of spam-fest, let me know and I'll re-enable it and add this to the website help files so people can find it.

Profile not working??? Still no "useful" information on whats wrong with it.

I've tried it as users too, and it seems to work just fine, so, if you can be a lot more exact, as in "I clicked x,y,z, then got "this messege" that would actually be helpful B)

  2. Hiya Lori

Welcome to H4M, and welcome to the newest version, which even I can say is a damn site better than its previous version that I managed to screw up... lol

I look forward to hearing more from you, and if you do have any thoughts on the new website then please do let me know

  3. Kev

While they do look like they have had some ourdoor wear, it does look very minimal, and for the actual strap to tear, not the fixing point, would take some doing in either weak materials or poorly fitting footwear, or it has been put under some stress, hard to say..

Keep in mind however that the customer is NOT always right, if they were, they wouldnt need other peoples help to start with.

I'm not sticking up for them, as clearly they are somewhat disorganised, and as a reseller of pleasers, could easily send back the shoes to pleaser, although it doesnt help that yours are showing signs of outdoor usage, as it is difficult to determine if it was a case of faulty merchandise or over-stressing what is clearly a fragile strap.

Customers are not always very honest either when things go wrong, I know from experience, we have an internet store, and some of the things we here are nuts, and when we get the products back and take a look, its far from what the customer said happened.

So no, the customer is NOT always right, unfortunately, BUT, the store could have handled your problem far better than they did...

I think thats a fair conclusion, given what you have said, and showed us.

Basically, you got what you paid for, buy cheap, buy twice...

  4. well this is heels 4 men isnt it? speaking of what u were saying i would rather conceal my identity and yea u can guess why its pretty self explanetory.

You can still be social without others knowing your personal identity. If not, then why on earth did you join?

  5. I think that would depend on the kind of bar etc. I guess in certain ones which cater to men in heels it wouldn't be quite so creepy.

That said, an introduction is considered polite in any social situation.

ok, maybe "Anti-socially odd" is a better way to say it. Just gets my back up when people join up, and cant even bother to take a minute to introduce themselves, like they have forgotten how to socialise or even say hello....

  6. you would be correct simon lol

Your a person of very few words arnt you? Not even so much as any introduction, nothing about you at all, you just walked into a strange place and passed round some photo's of you in stilettos and said almost nothing.

How does that look in reality?

Imagine that in real life, a guy walks into a bar/club/park and passes out some pictures of himself in stilettos and the very first thing he says is only to announce the make/style of the shoe.

You think anybody would find him really creepy?

  7. First of all Kev, thanks for posting your picture here, I suppose once seen walking a mile in them it does not really matter, but thanks.

As for the poll here, there isn't really an option for me as I like to wear heels, but not girls heels as such, so you will forgive me for not entering.

if there was an option for, I wear heels when I want to, but they are not that shocking and nobody notices, then I would tick that box. I guess I am not that scared.

I thank you for what you are doing for charity. Keep up the good work.

Nigel, sounds like the middle option is best for you bud:

I WALK IN HEELS IN PUBLIC EVERYDAY. IM NOT SHY

Your not shy, it mentions nothing of "girls heels" and you wear them every day "you" want to. I wear heels whenever I like too, not always EVERY day, but like all things, its mood dependant, and also depends what I'm doing.

  8. indeed, as Nigel says, that one post you have there is seriously crap (Keeping the language as polite as possible)

I'm actually going to remove your links now because you truly should know better than to post links to this kind of fetish nonsense here.

As for that garbage on your homepage about it being for gay/straight etc etc, why isnt it just for men... Why the need to make it into something its not, why does a persons sexuality have to come into it?

  9. Hey everybody. I just made a new group for the heck of it. It is for, you've probably guessed it, men who love to wear high heels. Here is the link:

I did use heels4men as the name. I just couldn't think of anything else.

    Hope you guys like it.

Actually, I do mind the name you have chosen as your yahoo group does not provide any disclaimer that it is NOT owned or operated by those who run this website.

Can you either put up a disclaimer, or change the name of the group? You agree not to use the "Heels4men" name when you joined here for any websites or internet groups.

  10. i am hoping for as many men as possible. press coverage will be quite high profile as it was for my last charity walk in heels. i am thinking of calling the event ' putting the he into heels ' unless anyone can come up with something different. all men must wear pink from head to toe including heels. all entrants will be wearing a pink charity tee shirt. what else you wear is up to you as long as you show your heels. send me a pm for further details as the 21 aug is only a provisional date:D:D:D

Sounds like a great idea except for having to wear pink heels, I think that may undo your "Putting the HE into heels" by turning it into some sort of "joke like for charity event", thus preventing it being taken as seriously...

  11. Well put Euchrid. I started by going out only at night, but have had a few daylight excursions. I do agree with the part about stilettos, they don't look right on a larger framed guy. I only wear block heels outside, but do enjoy skinnier heels sometimes at home.

And yes most of the fears are in our own heads, but they are there nagging that we may get "outed" and it's not socially acceptable to be different etc. in my case it would upset my wife if the neighbours were aware.

Out of curiosity, are your neighbours a part of your lives? Like best friends would be or something? As for the "Going out late at night", I think it all boils down to being appropriate. Many guys want to wear and dress in a way thats in-appropriate, or just bad taste/bad fashion or whatever you want to call it, and so if they actually made the effort and dressed properly, dressed according to the occassion, and in keeping with "a time and place for everything" then there truly shouldnt be a problem.

What you do however find is that some guys look like they just crawled out of a skip, with their brightest, shiniest stilleto pumps on, as if to say "I care about shoes more than i care about myself".

Even when you see some of the pictures guys post of their shoes, you look at the background behind them to see a filthy home thats clearly neglected, yet they are sporting a brand new shiny pair of stilettoes that even most women would never dream of wearing for fear of being picked up by the police for being a hooker.

Then they want to tell the whole world how they went for a walk in them at 2am (Probably looking like a tramp), well, I'm sorry but not only is that highly inappropriate, but imagine the noice it makes at that time of night!

Its as if some guys really do need a lesson in how to dress themselves, how to shave/wash/walk etc and how to actually not be a slob.

Anyway, sorry for ranting on, its just boils my blood when some guys make all of us look like fetish perv's just by doing things really badly.

  12. If there wefre but more talk/postings cincering this style of high heel, then I may well be able to take them seriously, but the general I went to the ATM at 2am in my 5" stiletto whatevers is just so much rubbish. If you won't wear a shoe at a normal time of day, then you shouldn't be wearing it at all.

I'm fed up with all this "gushing" about this and that stiletto heel. Time to get real and say what I feel, both here and in the other place. I'm all for heels for men, but I neither wish to feel nor look ridiculous. I'm going to tread on many toes, but the fetish needs to be seperated from the passion.

    Hope I don't incur your wrath :P

    Simon

Ditto, I'm sick of all the "wanna-be" women who rave about strolling around in the neighbourhood at god knows what hour of the night. How weird is that, some guy wandering down the street in the dark, REALLY late at night and all you can hear are his stilettos.. I tread on many toes already, but I'm not bothered, I just tell it how it is and how I see it.

  13. Yup, they are the biz all right. The heel shape is perfect for a man, i.e. cuban, just slightly more slender and higher than is usual. Sure this is why both of us wear them without concerns. All this emphasis on stiletto styles and girly looking shoes is too much IMHO. Seems to me so many want to wear heels for the wrong reason.

    Simon.

Indeed, the heel shape and height is absolutely perfect, which I think makes them so much easier and more comfortable to walk in too :P:);)

I agree though, a lot of guys are "into" heels for the wrong reasons, mostly just for getting their rocks off, and never as a proper or serious fashion...

I was sooo dissapointed too that they dont make these anymore, I sooo wanted the knee high version too

  14. Ah the Eddie Bauers. I too had a pair of those. Wore them so much, the leather finally split buy the ball of the right foot. Watch out for that. So comfy those boots and they really look the part too. I would really like to get another pair, but unlike mens styles, they move on far quickly. Oh well, had them and enjoyed wearing them.

    Simon.

Tell me about it, they a real pleasure to wear and so seriously comfortable and the noise they make is sweeeet, specially on polishes starbucks tiled floors..

Sainsbury's on the way home was fairly clunky too as they also have tiled floor in Battersea....

Pictures.... Dont have any at the moment, but I'm sure I can muster up a pic sometime soon. I'm more of a "Just get on with it" kinda heeler and enjoy my heeling, aint really into the whole "oh my god I'm wearing heels" anymore, got over that years ago... Now there just like any other clothing, only more fun to wear... :P

  15. Just sold four pairs of heels this week on ebay. Almost bought another 2 pairs from Ebay. 1 pair of Leatherworks went for more then I bid on and the other pair (Faith sandles) got me thinking where am I going to wear them. I bought 4 other pairs of heels in the last 3 months that not been worn much.

The last time I bought a pair of heels off Ebay I told the guy about HHplace and I think he did join.

    Fantastic, good move... :P

  16. As for getting into arguments or a debate depending how you look at it can be a good thing sometimes as that also get members talking. It,s knowing when to stop and not to let it get personal what matters the most. There's going to be many members from other parts of the world and we all never going to agree on the samething all the time.

Exactly our point, very well put :P

  17. As someone who has used Google Ads on sites I can assure you there ain't a lot of money coming from those clicks. Be careful on overusing those ads too, Google may see it as either incentivised clicks or cheating as they come from the same IP range (your ISP's) too often.

TBH if any money is made from this site I doubt it goes near paying for itself.

Indeed, in fact, Google can detect if too many clicks are coming from the same IP (The person doing the clicking) and as such, if it detects too many, it voids all of them as clickfraud (Trying to make money by fraudulently clicking the ads)

So on the one hand, your initial clicks do help a little, too many wipe out all of them :P

I can tell you though, "revenue" is around

  18. ADMIN

As for ownership, NO, but maybe some favorable posts about them may make me think about it :-P..

why is the post still here then? I don't know that I can move it , can you:???:.....

I was just trying to distribute new posts into different areas to keep people interested and comming back to different areas with posts, is that not what we want?

I guess it's a bit like a traffic cop on a quiet country lane, he can afford to book everyone with such little traffic.

    Keep heeling...

Actually, its nothing like a traffic cop on a quiet lane. If you think I have no work to do then you are seriously seriously mistaken...

What "we"(Admins & Moderators) dont have time for is reorganising things people keep putting in the wrong place, all I'm asking for is, instead of just throwing threads anywhere to make the website seem busy, just keep them in the right place, no matter what the rest of the site looks like.
