Manolo Blahnik revived the stiletto around 1974 after it had called from fashion during the mid 60s. It was Roger Vivier who created the first true modern stiletto in 1954. It has ebbed and flowed a lot in the past 60-odd years. According to an article I saw in the Guardian the other day, stilettos are coming back in a big way now.

    This article???

I was going to write that she was South American, so likely short etc.... Thought I'd better check before making an assumption based on the sound of her name and her olive skin colour. Good job I did.

Seems she has mixed parentage, with some Italian? Moving from New York, her mother gave birth to her in Florida. A child star, with 10 years in the business already, she has a four octave voice quality to match the internationally famous diva; Mariah Carey.

My guess is that as a child-star, (and maybe someone with slightly diminutive stature) wearing a heel has been something she's had to do for some years already. Although currently 23, here is a picture taken in 2014.

    Picture of innocence? ;)

She has it all. Looks, figure, age, and talent

Figure?   From that photo, she looks as flat as a 10 year old.  Until she grows some physical maturity, she will continue to be a paedo's wet dream.

  3. if 'we' do win this year, it will be amusing having to host the 2018 show when we're divorced from the EU.

we won't win of course, good song or not, as the political bullshit that goes on makes the entire thing a bit of a farce.

I watch Eurovision for a bit of camp nostalgic fun.  it can't be taken seriously at all and the better songs rarely win.  not that a win achieves much anyway.

The days when a Eurovision win would jump-start a music career (cf. Bucks Fizz) have long passed.

  4. Had a terrific outing yesterday.  propping up the bar and rocking out in the crowd at Camden Underworld in 5" stiletto boots.

i spent the entire evening at the gig wearing them, changing into them immediately on arrival.

i quite amazed myself actually, negotiating the hardwood floors & a flight of steps down to the stage area whilst carrying two full pints!!!

In no way would the heels have gone unnoticed but no comments or 'looks' came my way. No pointing or or snickering going on either as far as I could tell, even when standing at the urinals in them, the boots fully exposed at that point due to my jean bottoms getting 'hitched up' on the decorative strap/buckles!

in those places, people just really don't care what others are doing.  I was more concerned about what my drinking buddy thought about it than what all those strangers were thinking.  Of course, my buddy being a decent chap, he had no issues with it whatsoever - and it's not the first time he's seen me 'heeling'.

So, to those of you desperate to wear heels in public but still 'hiding away', just get yourself to a rock gig and start living your life!

It has been very quiet here lately ....

it's always been quiet here.  Heels4Men has a relatively tiny number of members and few of those ever post anything.

i think for a time this forum was just a refuge for those people kicked out of HH Place, or who were unaware of HH Place's existance.

That said, HH Place is a shadow of its former self.  Nothing particularly interesting or eventful gets posted on it, hence many (all?) of the 'old guard' have long gone now. Fresh start needed I reckon, and serial irritant members (all boards/forums have those) should be ejected on a '3-strikes, you're out' basis.  People who bang on about skirts for a start!

How about the musical Kinky Boots? It is supposed to be excellent. You could pretty well wear what you like and be simply playing along.

It's actually fairly mediocre.  Don't believe the hype!  And the theatre is a poky flea-pit.

Disappointment all round when I attended it.

This is larger picture (made from a composite) that has been ever-so-slightly compressed, as the original looked to have been stretched.

    Shocking creases ... £738 - in a SALE!

------- It's the SKIRT that costs £738.  The price of the boots isn't stated.
