  1. Hi Freddy, I uploads a couple of pics of my older calf length stiletto heed boots worn with trousers inside my boots. I walked maybe 5 kilometers in them like that around town daytime, no comments or glances from anyone. People did like to stop and chat though, maybe to check that I was human. I would now like a pair of stiletto heeled boots with pencil thin heel and pointed toe, I am sure they would be the ultimate. Let me know what your thoughts are on the pics

    Happy heeling

  2. I feel even women get it wrong sometimes. There is nothing worth some a scruffy individual either male or female wearing stilettos. It just doesn't look right.

A trim figure looks best with heels both male and female

Colour co ordination may be a problem for men in so much as 1 in 7 men are colorblind, so safe colours for any combination needs to be considered

I feel that most of us have feelings going back to child hood bullying, so many of the reports in these threads tend to make comments surprised that they did not receive any adverse comment. When younger, such comments from peers would be adverse or critical. Confidence build from within. Sorry I digress

  3. I have been wondering, what is the 'correct' etiquate when wearing heels. such as for women, we see different styles to suit different occasions such as daywear versus evening wear.

    - should socks or stocking or bare feet be worn and when

    - what looks best comparing body weight / build, with heel type

    - what other clothing style looks best with what type of heel

    - what works best with what season

    - what are the definite no no's for men when it comes to wearing heels

just a few questions which if answered I feel will help a lot of men and women who may be still experipmenting with their level of heeling. when answering please discuss your own personal level of heeling such as privacy of own home , in public when out of town, to everyday wear everywhere etc

i have also included a more recent daytime public heeling pic of calf lenght boots with 4" heel appears in gallery, too big for attachments

    i look forward to comments

  4. I have to agree with the OP. flats are boring, while heels are fun. Heels are a little like having and awesome sports car, and when you go for a drive, you will drive everywhere, and never want to finish. The furthest I have walked in my 4" heeled hiking boots is 8 kilometers ( 5 miles). Stilettos may be fun, but for walking a slightly lower heel to about 4" is best, but it takes time for muscles etc to accommodate or become fit enough. I recommend short walks about 3 k at a time once a week, then after a month or so, more often as there will be no more discomfort in the calf muscles. Another important issue for walking is to have a low platform, to offer protection to the ball of the foot, otherwise a stone bruise can be very uncomfortable

  5. This issue has been a long standing problem for me.

I like my boots to be fairly tight. If my feet move around, I feel unstable in heels. I prefer tight hose [support stocking tight] and usually get away with wearing two pairs of opaque footsies. I also like thin socks with little or no seams, though I struggle to find them. I'm lucky in that I don't suffer much foot discomfort, even when I've got broken skin. [story is posted elsewhere.]

Thin skin coloured hose looks good with sandals [and court shoes], but I have always associated older [women] folk wearing socks with sandals. A memory from my almost forgotten childhood perhaps?

My tastes aren't everyone's, so I'd only go so far as to suggest a change. I'm never being mean when I try to guide others to the 'righteous' path, wink.gif and am always respectful of the choices people have made. cool.gif

All that aside, you can certainly 'walk the walk', and in respectably high heels too. I'm sure we could all learn a thing or two from your experiences. cool.gif

    ....

Forget about heels, what do you think when you see some one in jandels (flip flops) with socks? I know several people who do that, also you v

Can buy socks with ties to suit jandels. I still prefer heels

  6. Look better? [Not sure myself.]

    post-40-0-93559500-1337899799_thumb.jpg

Certainly shows off the height of the heel better. cool.gif Don't know why, but it seems to?

    ....

Thanks for your comments Freddy, some times I wear with socks sometimes not. Socks do take up some slack, but they can also cause tight spots near the toes. Still doing lots of walking in my boots, defiantly wear socks with them. Cheers

  7. With these hiking boots, the first pair I had I fitted three sets of heel tips before the soles fell off and the vinyl delaminates. The current pair I am almost due to replace the heel tips first time round. The first pair lasted about 100 kilometers of walking. Heel tips last about 30 kilomtres

  8. Thanks for your comments freddy. It isn't a construction zone yet, still a demolition zone with around 700 building disappearing. It was the first day of giving the general public acces into the center of town as it is becoming safer to do so and there were a lot of people around taking pics etc. I got really brave and rolled by jeans up, but often I wear the boots with trousers over. The 3" oxfords cover really well and do look just like regular shoes, with maybe a little more heel than one would normally see.

And yes it is the beginning of winter, still only light frosts and a wee bit of snow on the mountains, not real winter yet, but certainly cooler with a sou west wind blowing

  9. hi, just up loaded some pics to gallery. two are wearing my 4" heeled hikingboots along with blue jeans and cuffs turned up a little. your comments would be appreciated

the other pic which didnt come out so well is of my 3" oxfords which are the heels you wear when not wearing heels and suitable for almost all occasions. rather discrete.

let me know what your thoughts are

  10. Well you're certainly putting most [if not all] of us, to shame with your 'exercise' regime! wink.gifbiggrin.gif

It certainly puts anything I'd done, into your shadow. smile.gif May I ask how [what sot of venue - street/treadmill] and why, so much walking? Yes I am jealous, that only did you make the opportunity for yourself, but plainly made the most of that opportunity. wink.gif

And there's nothing wrong with your taste in footwear either. cool.gif

    .....

Thanks FF,, I walk in an inner city park where there is a track for runners and walkers. It is easy to measure distances using google earth too. With heeled hiking boots they are particularily comfortable, maybe more comfortable than flats, as I'm sure I don't walk that far in flats. 3 hour lunch breaks are great, but now with only two hours I can't do so much these days

  11. I have asked several men I've met, who like wearing heels, that very question. cool.gif

Can't say I recall getting an adequate answer. In fact, I would say that for the most part, most produce a facial expression that indicates they doubt the sincerity/motivation of my query. sad.gif

It does [without doubt] take cojones for men to wear heels in public places. But experience tells me that once familiar with the situation, embarrassment and fear, get significantly less. wink.gif

    ....

If retail shoe shops who sell to both male and female were to place heeled boots with a particular design suited to men in the men's section, it would be surprising what the uptake would be of men. Think of Cuban heels, disco shoes, loafers with a block heel etc. not stilettos which are not particularly suitable for day wear or are not regarded as men's wear in the mainstream.

  12. I have two. Urgent pair of similar looks, one pair are a replacement for one identical pair that I loved so much I wore out three sets of heel tips, then the sole came off as well so I bought another identical pair. I was walking about 30 kilometers a week in them so after 6 months which would be about 100 k or so they fell apart. The other pair are slightly higher being 4 1/4" heel rather than the 4" heel. They are so comfortable I could wear them all day. The longest non stop walk I did was 8 Kim

Love your style, thanks for sharing

  13. Hi from newzealnd, this is a difficult site to register into ,lots of backward and forward then give up in disgust, but I have finally cracked the system and managed to get loved in with my own password too.

I love wearing heels, mainly around home, sometimes up to 12 hours in the day, when out of town, I like to go for a walk, I now have a pair of boots with a full 4" heels and quite sturdy for walking. I. Wear them inside my trousers, and few people notice, those who do don't say anything which is great.

I will when the opportunity arises, where them in the street with trousers inside, but that has not happened yet.

I meet up occasionally with another fellow who where 6" stilettos all the time with a short skirt as part of his suit. Often with out hose, but does have problems when his feet sweat with having no hose on.
