  1. Working outside on Thursday, had me chilled to the bone.

No work outside today though, rain on and off all day .... And pretty much rain every day for the next week.

Walking between puddles today, I thought back 7 days and the air so warm while I was out, I got a bit fried.  No chance of that problem again any time soon. Winter just won't go away. :(

    Saturday addendum ....

Only a couple of days away from May, and I've had to put the heating on ....

The shoes she is wearing in the last pic seem to buck the trend for having set-back heels; they look to be set more forward than usual (although that was a style adopted in the earliest (mid-50s) stilettos).   Stilettos should be in a mid-position (under the back of the wearer's heel) for both style and comfort!

I have a(n older - cheap) pair in black suedette. The heel rise measures 5 inches, but sooooooooo easy to walk in because of the heel position. As they are so easy to walk in, I almost never wear them.

  3. "Emily Ratajkowski was her usual flawless self at the premiere of her new film I Feel Pretty in Westwood, California on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old model, who shot to fame appearing in Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines video in 2013, wore a black sequined gown with long sleeves, a slit up the leg and a large portion cut out of the midsection, revealing her taut abs.

Ratajkowski, who has more than 17.3 million Instagram followers, rounded out her glamorous ensemble with diamond earrings and black high heels, wearing her silky brown tresses down and parted in the middle."

This video is NOISY! You might want to turn sound off, if you have it "on" usually.

Included only to show what Emily looks like when she moves.

Google Image, etc.are obviously quite clever technically, but they can be thrown off track by photo edits, changes to aspect ratio, addition of watermarks, cropping, colour tweaking, and so on.  TBO, I think Puffers "original" may have been photoshop-stretched since those lovely long legs do appear to be a bit too long to be "the real McCoy".

The original un-tampered photo probably exists all over the internet, however we don't have a copy of that one to use in our search requests.

I agree, and maybe why that extra coloured block was put on the right of Puffers original. My version, has that removed. Here is a version with the image compressed. Any more compression and the image looked completely unnatural.

  5. Weeeeeeellll....

My spree hasn't taken the shape I thought it would. Reason being, lack of uniformity in firing off the different types of flashes. I cried off buying the four as they were incompatible with others I'd planned to buy. Instead I bought a higher powered pair that use more modern technology. The first (cheapo) one tuned up, and for the £200 I spent (total) on strobes, I had a fairly well configured set of studio lights. Being the 'collector' I seem to be, I bought a second pair, same make/model at the the first pair .... All four use the same firing technology, so No.5 (cheapo one) might now be surplus.

To my surprise, these strobes that claim moderate power levels, seem to carry enough 'zap' for pretty much any portrait challenge, so why do I still want more power? A: "'Cos I'm a bloke?"  I just don't know if I have quite enough 'power' for a group photo if asked to produce one. Circa £250 could guarantee I had. (Can't take it with you.)

  6. Mistaking smaller (-10%) for less, I thought women had fewer (for pregnancy). Oh well.

And men often have ribs removed so they can attain a more feminine torso: Rodrigo Alves.

Anyway, if that image was anywhere other than hidden in a dark corner somewhere, Google/Bing/Pinterest would know about it. Rather like the images we post here. All available on a search.

I'm not (yet) a member of 'tumblr', but I did try to look at the accounts of a few of those that are, who had "liked" this image. While at least one took me to porn, two others took me to fe(male) images .... I'm even more convinced 'we' are looking at someone with a full-set of ribs. ;)

I can't imagine a more 'perfect' looking set of legs, standing underneath a slim/trim body. Things that look too good to be true, usually are. :(

I have no idea how "I can't imagine a more "perfect" looking set of legs" could be interpreted to mean I don't like them? They are stunning.

yep.  she's a full time model & instagram queen.  She has 1001 "looks" so obviously not all photos are going to resemble yours. many of them do though, including the slight 'asian' look that she sometimes has.  the look that had Freddy thinking back to his ''holidays' in Bangkok  :D

    I wish! ;) :D

Usually you 'nail' these obtuse enigma's but this time I'm not sure. (If anyone else had made the claim I would have given it no credit at all.)

Looking back at Puffer's original, I immediately noticed the boyish tummy. It's not big, but it suggests one more rib than woman usually have. The backside is a nice shape, but the bum/hips are slim, not usually seen on a woman, and certainly not on a Western woman unless she's from Poland.

The lips on the original are almost full, but not overly so. Those on H.D. are positively pneumatic, and her nose is very long/straight which is doubtless that way due to the plastic in it.  Which leads us on to the photo style of DH which appears to be a "tits and arse" show. (And why not?) And of the 4-500 photographs I browsed, none had 'legs' as a point of interest, but plenty were showing T+A which then also suggested a small waist? Something not seen in  the first image.

If that initial picture is one of DH, I would expect multiple 'hits' from Google, but nothing found?

At the moment (Watson), I remain unconvinced. :(

Do you mean that the (national) Blue Badge scheme is being revamped, in terms of tighter control of issue/renewal and/or reduction in designated spaces?   (My mother-in-law has a Blue Badge and there was no issue at last renewal.)   I can understand tighter control (there is undoubtedly abuse) and of course parking of all types becomes more difficult as demand outstrips spaces.

At least two of the people I know who have had the benefit of a Blue Badge for many years, have been subjected to "walking tests" where an untrained (sub-contracted) person assesses the fitness of the applicant. Someone with MS who gets tested on a 'good day, might lose out, where a test on a 'bad' day would reveal the true extent of their disability. The walking test has been applied in these parts on every second application.

You are right in that demand can in places outstrip availability. Thing is, what is "demand"? Referring back to Westfield London (:P:D) where I made a visit recently, of the 10 spaces in the area where I choose to park, at least 6 were taken by owners of exotic vehicles (£40k 4x4's for example) with no Badge displayed. Not only are B/B's considered "family benefits" by some cultural groups, but the facilities themselves aren't often policed by the owners of the space. I know of an ASDA car park, and a Sainsbury car park, where I could almost guarantee visits would find at least one car parked without a Badge. Owners of Mercs and BMW's seem to be the worst offenders.

I have a personal dislike of those who park in B/B spaces without the correct means of parking on them. Were I able to agree a fee sharing arrangement with the respective management companies, I would take great joy in issuing tickets for infringements. Handicapped people have it bad enough, without having to fight for their few benefits.

I was aware of your 'Blue Badge' access, but not sure why you implied that the parking concession at Westfield would be ending - Westfield action or loss of friends with badges?   Shame for you if it does.

The scheme is trying to remove as many of these as it can. It's getting to the stage that if you have legs or a modified car, (for a wheelchair) you don't need a badge, so I may lose access next renewal.

Despite the enforced reductions,  I regularly see a family abuse the badge to park outside JL at Brent Cross ...

As to the "location" of Westfield, you and the franchise may refer to it's location wherever you both prefer. (Though I think W/F describes it as W/F "London".)

Me and Wiki prefer White City. Nothing else is of consequence. If W/F Stratford didn't exist, it would simply be "Westfield" as it was during 2008-2011.

District/town, as opposed to village. (Which anything inside London is unlikely to be.) It's just semantics. Rather like the W/C vs S/B debate. The last "district" I go through is W/C, I never touch S/B proper as I always drive, even if arriving from the West End. (a.k.a. City of Westminster.)  I have added a side note (that isn't actually on the side of anything) to my post to explain a little better though having to explain so much does suggest a lack of common sense in readers? Westfield 'West End' would get almost everyone understanding which of the two malls in the Greater London postal area is being referred to. "Greater London" in this instance given to mean most areas inside the North and South Circular roadways.

It's very wearing, having to 'explain' and 'justify' so many comments. Is there a real need to 'challenge' every word I write? While I too am tempted to correct things like poor spelling (I sometimes do this anyway when quoting but don't otherwise mention it) the repeated "nagging" about silly/meaningless/unimportant differences make contributions seem a chore.

how did you get to park free?

I have mentioned this before .... "Friend" with Blue Badge. Actually, several friends (4 in total) have them ... I'm not young ya'know, nor are the people in my small social circle. I am one of the fittest ... (Written while saying 'touch wood'.)

Where you travelling by car to W/F from the North Circular, the closest 'town' ** is White City home of the BBC of course. SB is on the far side of W/F and given the s/hole status of S/B I wouldn't choose to travel to those stations anyway. Wood Lane would be my preference, and I've parked my car quite close to it in the past. Not a bad walk in heels. B)

** Inverted commas in recognition it isn't actually a "town" but a "district" if precision is required  .....

  13. As mentioned elsewhere, I was at W/F White City not long ago. The highlight (for W/F) of the new extension is John Lewis. A helpful assistant told me he had been apologising all day to people looking for stock they didn't have at the store. One of them, was me. IIRC there is no camera store at W/F and that (unusually) includes JL.

Big/bigger/biggest it might be, but it's not much more  than a glorified coffee shop if you can't buy stuff you want. When Primarni opens, footfall will increase I'm sure, as will takings at the centre. I doubt HoF or Debenhams will see much of that money though. HoF is hardly worth a visit, and neither is Debenhams. Both have better stores on Oxford Street, as does JL actually. The ONLY reason I visit W/F these days, is the covered mall, and I have access to free parking during the week.  When the free parking ends, so will my visits.

Due to the continuing increase with internet sales, many stores are choosing to thin-out store stock. Not so true of the stack 'em high sell 'em cheap brands like Primarni, and no surprise the stores with good value offerings are on the up. Primarni doesn't do internet selling ... Where is the lesson for the 'big' stores?
