  1. pleaser milans have a 4.5'' heel
  2. all fixed and ready to go now. only cost me
  3. i just came across these sandal boots on the internet and i must say that they are rather nice to say the least. when i first see them i thought ''they would be nice to walk in'' support is excellent and your feet stay cool due to the open design. fill in my poll stating if you own a pair or if you would like a pair or not. maybe you prefer a high heel or a low heel:smile::smile:
  4. If ever there was a company to be gratefull for then my vote goes to Timpsons. After the poor service from NITELIFE regarding a damaged ankle strap on a sandal, Timpsons came to the rescue. For the pultry sum of
  5. Well i was intending to purchase a pair of CANDY 09 sandals to replace the damaged ones...until my wife decided that i should have them repaired. i had them back today so i took them to TIMPSONS to get a quote and im glad my wife actually opened her mouth because they only cost
  6. Well I have now had to order another pair of heels from a different supplier. Have many of you readers shopped at ALTERNATIVE FOOTWEAR? As I only intend to wear them once or twice I did not want to spend a fortune on a new pair. I have decided on a pair of pink PLEASER CANDY 09 sandals, Having a chunky heels means I wont have to worry about them wearing out after 2 or 3 miles. It was a tough choice to make. If I could of got a pair I would have gone for a pair of white CANDY 48. Others on the shortlist were CANDY 40 in white. DOLLY 09, 27 OR 50 all in pink or a PARTY 42 in silver. As for the CANDY 09 with their 6.5'' chunky heel and 2.5 platform sole they should be fairly easy to walk in. Lets hope they can carry a 14.5 stone lump for 10 miles. Its a shame I could not get a pair of white CANDY 48 because as the picture below shows, they are a lot more durable looking without making my feet too warm. At least the CANDY 09 has a slightly wider strap than the DELIGHT 609LN that I had to send back
  7. PROGRESS REPORT Today I had a phone call from Nitelife and I was told that my damaged sandals never left the country after all. They have also tried telling me that the damage was my fault and that I had tripped over. This is quiet hard when I dont go out in them. They are now returning them to me in the condition I sent them in (unrepaired) which means that so far im nearly
  8. well done. i hope you enjoyed the walk like i did. how high were the heels. i bet you never felt shy at all. its a strange thing when you do something like this for charity as you lose all sense of shyness. its like fancy dress where you all dress up in all sorts of wierd and wonderful outfits. not once was i shy when i done it and i was wearing a pair of huge 7.5'' platforms. again, well done. are you doing it again
  9. just to let you all know what is happening. when i phoned nitelife today to find out when my sandals were going to be returned to me i found out that they are not even in the country. they have been sent 6000 miles to the other side of the world to california. if that aint a waste of resources what is. the delay is most likely caused by the volcanic ash incident where all planes were banned over the UK. if this is the case then why have i not been told. either way i dont care what happens now as there is no way i will ever deal with them again. i can see me buying a different pair to do my charity walk. i have my eyes on something a little bit more durable like the dolly 50 or party 42 with a 5'' chunky heel and platform. may even consider a seduce court style possibly with open toe. i will keep you all updated what is happening with the shop
  10. NITELIFE www.exoticdancewear.co.uk i have recently had concern to involve the trading standards regarding a pair of sandals i purchased at the end of last year. i purchased them from the above supplier. i had to return them as they had a manufacturers fault. the problem is that as they were a sale item i gave them a list of alternative styles which were the same value but they never replyed to my corrospondance. eventually when i phoned them and threatened them with the trading standards they told me that they would be repairing them. that is well over a week ago and i have still not had them back in a repaired condition. it is over a month since i originally retuirned them and all im getting is different excuses as to what they have done or intend to do. they are going to get a good kick up the rear end (hopefully with a pair of very pointed toe shoes) as the trading standards are going to be calling in on them. just to let you know that this company is in Scotland UK AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS AS THEY ARE USELESS:(:(:(
  11. I will always remember my first public appearance in high heels. It was at a supermarket. I was wearing the 7.5'' Pleaser XTC826 heels that are in my avatar. I was raising money for charity and I was wearing them to promote a 5 mile walk to raise money for Help for Heroes. As you may expect I had more than my fair share of weird looks from members of the public. You might ask yourself if I felt embarresed. The answer is NO. The reason is that everyone was very supportive in was I was doing and what I was intending on doing just 2 months later. The heels were a lot more comfortable than expected. You must remember that this was not just my first time in public but also my very first time in heels. Very high heels at that. The amount of women that told me that I would never complete 5 miles is beyond believe. Overall I collected over
  12. im not a happy man because i have just noticed that one of the ankle straps on a PLEASER DELIGHT 609LN sandal is trying to part company. what makes it worse is that they have only been worn indoors. i purchased them to do a 10 mile sponsored walk but the way it is looking i would not trust the straps for 10 yards let alone miles. i have contacted the company that i purchased them from to see if they will refund or swap them but im not sure as i have had them 2 months but i believe that they are wearing premature especially as they have only seen indoor wear. if i cant swap them is this an easy repair? i hope so as they fit well and are comfortable. I HAVE POSTED A PICTURE:cry::cry:
  13. go for it. i know its only a mile but it will be the most enjoyable mile you have ever walked. the best bit is everyone is on your side as they know you are doing something worthwile. my 5 mile walk was my first ever time in heels which are the heels in my avatar (PLEASER XTC826). i had never worn heels of any sort in my life especially in public but i totally enjoyed myself and had a wonderful time. everyone gave me their full suport. good luck :D:D:D:D
  14. 5 miles in 7.5'' heels took 3.5 hours including stops. not bad for my first time in heels:-D
  15. do a search for a ''walk a mile in her shoes'' walks. they are held all over the USA. why dont you set up your own walk like i did? its also great fun:-D
  16. i agree with you myself but you must remember that i would be walking over 26 miles so comfort is more important than looks or style. what do you have in mind from the pleaser range. all ideas are welcome
  17. This might sound like a rather stupid thread but not as stupid with what I hopefully aim to attempt next year if all goes well. What I am asking is if a person put a gun to your head and said ''You are going to walk a 26 mile marathon by choosing one of these pairs of shoes.'' Which pair would you choose?. You have to remember that it is 26 miles you will be walking and unless you complete it you're dead. For this reason you are going to pick the most comfortable. pick the pair you you choose from the picture and vote on the poll.
  18. could anyone guide me to where i am likely to suffer blisters? when i completed a 5 mile walk the only blisters i had was on my little toes. i was wearing the same sandals as in my avatar. i also had a blister on the ball of 1 foot. i have uploaded a picture showing some shoes. there is a pink pair of sandals that i will be wearing this coming august to do a 10 mile walk but the other ones are what i consider would be most suitable. you will see that i have marked all of them with coloured spots. this is where i think that blisters are most likely to develop. does anyone agree with my opinions. what style would you think would be best? colour and looks are unimportant
  19. i have been doing a bit of thinking over the last couple of days wondering if anyone has ever walked a full marathon in heels. it has dawned on me that if i complete my 10 mile walk with reletive ease then a marathon is a possibility. the problem is what heels to chose. i have set up a poll of 10 styles that should be fairly comfortable over such a distance but suggestions are welcome. my choice of heel would be 3'' with a single sole or 5'' with a 1.5'' platform and chunky heel. does anyone know of anybody who has done a similar distance? this would be endurance walking in the big league. not quite up with hiking over a mountain in heels but not too far behind and also a lot safer. i think the platforms would be the best bet as the heels would last a lot longer. the picture just shows examples and colour is irrelevant. the idea is what shoe is most suitable or put another way. least likely to give blisters or sore feet.
  20. maybe i should of worded the 4th option as most of the time. high heels are high heels regardless if they are womens or mens styling but i have biased the poll towards womens heels. are there such heels as unisex heels? i suppose if equal amount of men and women wore a pair of what are termed as womens heels then you could call them unisex:-?
  21. if you are scared to wear your heels in public it is a good idea to consider wearing them to raise money for charity like myself. as my photo shows i was not trying to hide the fact that i was wearing womens high heels. the support from the public was very good. i also had good fun especially when a person is staring at you so much that they end up walking in to a lamp post. it does not take much to guess who had the last laugh then. i totally enjoyed doing my walk and there is no way i would even think of walking around in high heels every day. there are plenty of good causes that you can wear your heels for. children in need is just one of them. why not go a little further and wear a skirt or dress like i did. go on have some fun and dont be afraid.
  22. are you scared to wear your heels in public? dont worry you are not alone. there is no way in a million years that i would wear heels in public everyday.....BUT there is a way around it. have you ever thought about raising money for charity? this was my solution. you may get a few strange looks from people but at the same time you get their full support on your fundraising quest. in august 2009 i done a 5 mile walk wearing 7.5'' platform sandals to raise money for Help for Heroes. the day went great and as well as enjoying myself i also raised a lot of money for a very good cause. my high heel adventures are not over yet though. in august 2010 i plan to walk 10 miles to raise money for Cancer research. the heels wont be as high (5.75'') but they will still make for a hard challenge. my only words of advice is not to worry what people think because you are doing something worthwile regardless what charity you choose to raise for. i would like to find out how many people are scared to come out into the open so please fill in my poll
  23. If you had been around in the 1970's when most men wore high heel platforms would you have considered the platforms in the picture mens shoes? They are both Pleaser womens platforms from the present time. Heel height is 5'':wink:
  24. i have just recieved a pair of pleaser sandals only to find out something rather interesting. if you intend to order a pair of pleaser sandals take note that some styles have padded insoles and some dont. what i have not seen mentioned on any website is that the insoles are actually made from real pigs skin suede which is a big advantage as it will help to reduce sweating. for example. the DELIGHT 609 LN'S i have just recieved have these padded insoles wherew the sandals in my avatar which are a pair of XTC826 do not have any form of padding whatsoever which as you may know can be rather uncomfortable when walking long distances (if only i'd known this when i used them to do my 5 mile walk). they are lined with a PVC material which makes your feet sweat like hell. they are also rather slippery when worn with stockings. i dont know why some have padding and some dont but it would be great if they all had the padding
  25. I have just had delivery of the heels that i will be wearing for my 10 mile walk. they are a pink pair of PLEASER DELIGHT 609LN'S. there was a fair delay as they had to come from america and it did not help that the delivery to me was delayed by the weather. anyway i am well pleased with them as they fit great and they are more comfortable than i thought. this must be down to the insoles being made from REAL pigs skin suede. they also feel a lot for stable to walk in as the platform is less than half the height of the pair im wearing in my avatar :smile::smile:
