  1. I spend most of my time crossdressed, usually drab.I spent christmas eve. in blouse, skirt and kh suede wedge boots, smart casual and comfy. About 9pm, I dug in the frezer for the lamb joint, shock, horror, it hadn't been replaced a few weeks back. Our lunch guests didn't the alternate joint[ turkey], so wife said " Quick, go see if anywhere is open, hurry, go as you are." I grabbed a jacket and purse and heady for the shops. Of course, the supermarkets had closed for the break, andthe corner shops don't tend to do meat joints. At 9.55 (21.55hrs.)  I deviated to a small town near my home and Santa smilled down at me in the form of an open Tesco extra shop. It was almost empty, a few youths hanging out outside, only a couple of customers inside. The last leg of lamb sat in the chill cabinet, saved!  The chap serving was polite, and if anyone noticed ,they niether smilled or comented, noy even the youths outside. More people had arrived and again, not a second glance.

rather a good hour spent out, and without the so's negativity.

ps. finished the lamb in a lunchtime sandwitch, very nice too.

  2. yep, thats the ones. Just purchased a spare pair @ £30 arrived today. pity i couldn't get them in another colour too.

I must have spent over 100 hours wearing these this past two weeks. Worn in snow, rain, and on ice, have kept dry and warm and all without slipping. Now weather is showing signs of improving, must rotate footwear as the other 7o+ pairs might just get revenge for being ignored.

  3. I have been running around in these boots by Natures own and available through JD Williams group(Manchester). At £30 or less you can't go wrong. Did have a couple of double takes when worn with leggings, but only heard positive comments. Worn with jeans or or pants, even with whole heel showing, pass un-noticed, including doctors, shopping, garages and school runs.

I am a uk8/ eu42/us10 and these in 8 fit perfect. they come in 9 too. It's a shame all retailers don't adhere to set sizing, many shoes shown as 8 are only a eu41 and with Next I take 9(43), probably a width concern. Same thing tends to happen with chainstore shoes, some fit some don't and they don't always have the bigger size. sorry did insert picture, but it vanished when I posted.

  4. A couple of years back, I worked in a canteen and that required appropriate footwear. We had a staff training/ briefing day, and for that I wore 8cm narrow heel ankle boots. Nothing was said, and I can't be certain they were noticed, but the boss gave me a smile and several shop floor workers spotted them.

It is a freedom of choice issue, and one in which you need to be comfortable with yourself and the image you portray.
