NL/BE Meet

Recommended Posts

Nearly every active member here is in the UK, so that's quite a drive for a meet.

Getting Brits to meet up in the UK is nearly impossible, so a meet on mainland Europe ..... :(

If ever you wander over to here though, I'd be happy to meet you. B)

I have tried in the past to set up heel meets  and nothing comes of it. Where i am willing to travel around 50 miles, I am not going to travel much further.

I have you some 70 miles from the centre of the universe (London) so that doesn't help you much.

That said, I know of 3 others (members here) that if they too travelled up to your maximum of 50 miles, could all find a common location for a meet up together. Will never happen. (Although I have met two of them.)

As you well know, I am happy to meet up with anyone. Sadly, even people I have met in the past (sometimes regularly) have other demands that push their interest of a meet into a very low place on their list of priorities. :(

Even when I have known for sure the people buying womens shoes off me are men, and they are buying for themselves, they are reluctant to get into a dialogue over their interest. I was going to write; "I've no idea why", but then thought: wives. If your wife/girlfriend does not know or doesn't approve of your secret, social activity isn't going to happen. We are our own jailer. (My last philosophical remark today. :D

@FastFreddy2 That might happen in the near future. I will give you a heads-up when and if it happens. Thanks for the offer.

You are right. We tend to think with ourselves as a reference. My gf knows my shoe thing and she even does not mind me wearing them when we go out, as long as (yes there is a restriction) it looks well coordinated and we do not attact to much attention from others. I'm fine with that as I can wear and buy anythnig I like.

For a 'special occasion' I will travel 100 miles, as one member here is aware. If you are in London, I might only need to travel 30. Even a stopover at Heathrow or Gatwick en route away from Europe would be do-able. B)

Better much sums up my circumstances too. We are lucky. Many here (and elsewhere) aren't so fortunate.

I might of said I will travel 50 miles but  I might be willing to go further but all depends on where and who like to turn up to a heel meet.  Been to London more then a few times for heels meets now and sort of fed up with going there.  The chances of me being able to walk in a shop and find any heels my size are very slim so I won't be going to buy any heels, it will be just to meet up with another heel wearer.

A heel meet is something of an unknown quantity, regardless of location.   Unless each member has a fairly good idea of who else will be there, and their characteristics, there may be at best some awkwardness and at worst significant embarrassment when they get together.   OK, there may be safety in numbers (and anyone 'shocked' could slip away fairly easily) but I for one will not travel far on a purely speculative venture unless I feel fairly happy with what I expect to find.   I'm not really looking for active public socialisation with a group of heel-wearing men (let alone obvious CDs/TVs) although quite happy to meet individuals 'by arrangement' at a suitable venue if I feel we have enough in common for a pleasant chat, not necessarily just about heels but not excluding that (or wearing same) either.   For the record, I am south of but within 40 miles of central London but don't consider that to be the ideal venue - too crowded, too expensive and not always welcoming.

You don't need to concern yourself about any of these things ... Never going to happen.

Good to read all 'issues' with regards to a heel meet. The last we al want is to offend others or get offended by the way we dress. A heel meet to my humble opinon is a social event. So it would not require the visitors to wear any heels. A you might or might not know, the BDSM world works more or less the same. These people will sometimes meet in private places and be all dressed up there. In other ocasions they meet and they are in normal clothing. They call that a 'munch'. These munches are social events where people just meet for social puposes. I avoided the word munch as i do not want to make a connection between BDSM and heels, which I just did.

The meet is pure a social thing to meet like minded people. If one chooses to wear heels he/she is free to do so. provided he/she does not embarras other members of the group. Would a heel meet become a heel party, one should provide safety for all attending by means of tickets and  door person checking the people who enter the venue.

This tread tends to go off topic. So I would like to move this discussion to a new thread, I have just started.
