Ludovic 4 Report post Posted November 30, 2012 Although I do not my wife's approval, I still go and try shoes and boots in stores once in a while. This time, I tried on two pairs from payless.com http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat10045&skuId=126236090&productId=72387&lotId=126236&category=&catdisplayName=Womens http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?catId=cat10088&subCatId=cat10045&skuId=099508100&productId=71970&lotId=099508&category=&catdisplayName=Womens I tried both in size 10, with another lady customer just beside me. Both were very comfortable for the few seconds I had them on. The size was good and although they were between 3 1/2 and 4 inches high, very comfortable for the few steps I took with them on. I like the knee high best and for fortunate to have jeans that I could put over the boots. Didn't have the guts to take a picture with the boots on though. hh4evr1 18 Report post Posted December 1, 2012 Both pairs are nice. It's good that the other customer didn't seam bothered about you trying them on.

Well done for tempting yourself in public. Only good can come of it. (Repression is good for no-one.) And ...... Nothing wrong with your (current) taste in footwear. The preferred boots of the two shown, look very wearable - by you. Christmas is around the corner. Get your order in ..... (With herself.) Can't wait to wear them to the hotel bar tonight! Good call. I have two identical pairs of unworn JS boots myself. Owned them both circa 3 years, and the most expensive boots I expect to keep. [Those in the avatar are going back.] I think them very well made, and surprisingly comfortable. JS Alpine. So far, too nice to wear, though I had recently planned to wear them to that Elbow gig. Ms Simpson is surely no fool? While I've little doubt she had much to do with any styling, her management must be keen to ensure her name is kept as a quality/value tag. I would buy again given the chance, but we don't see them much over here. Both mine were personal imports.
