My Favorite Boots

Recommended Posts

Knee height, 5" heels, soft leather, custom made.

Taken at my office 15 year ago.

5" inch is just a little bit to high for me to walk normal.

Another pair of knee height boots.

5,5" heels, soft leather...very comfortable, but to high heels for evey day use.

The heel was later changed to block heels. Pics will come...

Both pairs are nice. Was it easier or harder to ride a bicycle in heels ?

Not difficult with heels, but its easier to bike with flats.. :)

I like both pairs too.

Not usually keen on platforms, but that pair have a suitably [very] high heel, and I would think they are hard enough to walk in, even with a small platform? Pleasurably uncomfortable, as it were? ;)

The other pair, look very wearable. B)

The money shot.

:D

P.S.

That bike looks good too. :)

Another pair of kneeheight boots.

5,5" heels and becouse of the angle of the heels, I can fairly easy walk in these boots.

The way all boots are made, is that I found some pics of some female boots and we just scaled them up to size 44/45 and try to make them more masculine in a way.. :)

But by scaling up, they loose some of the nice look of smaller sizes...especially if they have platform.

I like platform on small sizes, but on big sizes, the footwear looks more ugly.

I really like both pairs.

The first pair as you say, for wearing anywhere,

post-40-0-70926800-1339146553_thumb.jpg

the second pair for 'special' occasions. ;)

post-40-0-29263300-1339146603_thumb.jpg

I'd greatly appreciate slightly more detailed side on pictures, without jeans covering them, if that would be possible?

Are these both shoes you had made for you?

I can take som more pics this weekend.

All boots in this thread are custom made for me, they fit like a glove and I will never buy another pair from a shoeshop again.. :)

I was so hoping that wasn't the case. ;)

It may not be very long, before I P.M. you for details of your manufacturer.

Again, great boots! B)

Since the 5" is to high, I desided to have the same style made with 4" heels.

Same style, but with a square toebox and different shaft for easier to put on and pull off.

This pair is very nice to wear on an everyday basis.

As I have mentioned, the 5" on the top pictures is to high for everyday use, but the 5,5" with chamfered heels are okay to use, I will have the 5" heels changed to chamfered heels as showned on these 2 pics.

Then I can start using my favorite boots again on an everyday basis.

Heels that goes straight down feels higher and more difficult to walk compare to heels which are chamfered on the back side of the heels.

The only scary thing is, its easier to slide with chamfered heels than straight heels...so on wet areas, more care has to be taken so you dont slide and fall.

That can be somewhat a little embarrassing :)

I'm a bit confused, which shoes are 5" which shoes 5½" in height, and what a chamfered heel is [though I could guess, I might also guess wrong].

Got to get out, as I'm running late for my afternoon out in heels, and my escort doesn't like to be kept waiting. I'll try to add a simpler yes/no query later, so you can understand better, what I'm not getting? :D

Not even I understood my point here..hehe

I try again.

Pic no 1.

The left has a 12,5 cm heel and is slightly tapered, which make it easier to walk.

The right boot has 14,2 cm heel and the heel goes straight down without any taper or chamfer.

Pic no 2.

The left boot has a 12,5 cm heel and is slightly tapered. (same boot as on pic no 1)

The right boot has a 13,5 cm heel and becouse the heel is more tapered, its easier to use for walking.

Pic no 2.

The left boot 12,5 cm heel (same as the boot as on the 2 other pics)

The right boot 10 cm heel is my everyday boot.

The 12,5 cm heel boot my top favorite boots, but 12,5 cm is just to high for me to walk normal so I will try to correct this by making a more tapered heel.

I dont know if this make more sence... :)

Yes, makes perfect sense now. B)

The 5" boot aka 12.5cm boot, has a very good heel height to foot length ratio, giving a very pleasant angle to the heel rise. They have a similar [but not same] angle, as my 4" heels in size UK7½. [EU40½]

The 13.5cm heel boots look even better, and with a steeper rise, suggest these are definitely not 'walking around in' boots. ;)

Lastly, the 14.2cm boots would appear to be "I'm not walking anywhere" footwear. :D They are very very very attractive.

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to show me/us your boots.

While I might struggle to justify the budget for these shoes, I can completely understand why anyone would. B)

These 2 boots are the same boots.

First they were made with a small platform and thin heels, later I had them modified to block heel and no platform for everyday use...

I think the second design is less likely to get unwanted attention if they were worn in the street, but look too high to walk far in? ;) So maybe special occasion boots. [Restaurants, Cinema, where there wouldn't be much walking involved.]

Lovely boots. Very attractive rise.

I understand that comment! ;)

You are doing very well though. Definitely getting the impression of them, and they look good with your jeans too. Perfect combination. B)
